actually those are just cardboard boxes, they did that to make it so you dont have 2 whole lanes to use, just to make it slightly more difficult/interesting to pass.
@totemo92 there called hay balls there for when u dont make cornoers they coverd tehm with plastic it still hurts when u hit them just not as bad as a gaurd rail
