The Forte is loud, feels cheap inside in every corner, rattles at speed. The engine apparently doesn't like to rev and car shakes when pressed hard. After sitting in one, both me and my parents didn't liked it

The Audi A3 is amazing in every aspect. The interior is beautifully done with quality materials around. The Exterior with the LEDs makes it recognizable. The diesel engine is a gem, just tap the throttle and it flies at the lights. Feels planted and solid no matter what you do.

I own a Forte SX Hatch with the tech package and all. After haggling a bit and combined with some rebates that Kia was offering we got it for 19,800. For the money you really can't beat it. For those complaining there's plastic on the dash, seriously? its not a luxury car, its an affordable compact. I mean do you honestly drive around feeling the dashboard?

@TheHoth1 Yup! I got every option you can for that. Leather, Sunroof, Navi, Smart Key, etc. Mines a 2011 though, so there was another $500 in rebates over the 2012. If you finance through Kia, you get $1500 in rebates too. Basically for me the price breakdown was 23,640 - $1500 for financing with them - 1000 customer cash rebate - 500 competitive bonus (I traded in my 07 tC). The rest I just haggled down. They also gave me 5 years of maintenance and the iPod Cable free of charge

U cannot compare Kia with Audi,..C`mon Audi has been at the top with their design and are well known for interior. Where as Kia.to be honest some people dont know whether the brand exist.

Although Kia has taken a big big step in redesigning their 2011 - 2012 models,..But their interior, Engine choice, Quality is still cheap,.the reason behind it is they want to keep their price down,so that they can attract the buyers.

Where as people who want to buy an Audi, Merc.,BMW.they buy coz they want to

If you're looking at an Audi....what would have to happen in your mind to convince you to consider a Kia? The only thing these cars share is the number of doors. $23,000 for a 175~hp Kia? I like the Forte, but I'm spoiled cuz I can get a 2012 Mustang that's faster than a 350Z and Porsche Boxster for the Kia's price. Volkswagen/Audi are in a whole other class from Hyundai/Kia.

@WoZIMoo Do ya really want to compare Kia tech to Audi tech? Does your Kia have a central wireless "brain" that operates major components wirelessly like a router? Does it get 43mpg?(48mpg if it's VW), does your Kia have as much torque as a 3.5 V6? Does it have LED lights behind the gauges and switches? Does it have a program that kills the engine power under emergency braking? Does it flash hazards when you get in an accident? I could go on....

The A3 never made any sense to people who know a thing or two about cars. The car is basically a Golf so why pay more to buy a Golf? Buy the Golf instead. I'm an Audi fan but I don't think any Audi smaller than the A4 should be called an Audi. They should be called either Gold or Polo.

I love the A3. Really nice car. BUT the Focus is soo much better. You get everything the Audi has - diesel and AWD. For less. You still have the German feel and the quality and the fun. Its just a smarter choice. Id also take the Golf over the A3 dispite the Audis great looks.

Wow guys......I think you just proved why it's not worth buying brand new luxury cars. If you must show off then buy a used one, at least at that point your paying a little less for the name. For the rest of the car buying world (people who buy sensibly) it's better to take home the Kia. You get all the same luxury touches and a car that's cheaper to buy and own......try fixing that Audi when something breaks I can guarantee it's going to cost crazy money for even the smallest repair.

I personally, in my honest opinion, love the Forte better.

Audi needs to update their design method and stop believing in the "one-design-fits-all" method.

Plus Kia has the best warranty as well. Kia's reliability is going up. They've changed everything about how they make, design, and produce a car. It's awesome!
