  • how did he remove the video cabel?

  • i have to say is true:my toshiba satellite fan is too loud, and i dont see dust at all.

  • damn my shitty toshiba wont even turn its fan on half the time :/ doesnt even turn off when the gpu hit 102* wtf!!

  • ...I'd rahter send mine out for a professional cleaning.

  • well the screen didnt really had to go, if its just for cleaning fan..

  • After watching this, I realized there is no way in hell I'm going to take this apart. The fact that you have to take even the screen and keyboard off ensures this. XD

  • how high is the risk of your computer actually not working again after youve done this? I wont be able to afford a new one if that does happen, but my laptop desperately needs a huge internal clean haha

  • @ElanorGaGa very high if you dont know what your doing, he also should have been using an anti static wrist strap, or some other way of grounding himself

  • @thebaker757 i did it about 3 times recently as i managed to mess up the keyboard and it works absolutely fine...bar the keyboard thing thanks tho :)

  • WOW i guess She is a real power user. See why people actually pay the money to fix it LOL

  • I tried to pull mine apart, I took all the screws off and it would not come apart, like the back right side was stuck together or something no matter what I did, I did not want to break it so I put it back together for another day.

  • 0.o that is so difficult for me :( im only 14 and I think I can't do that I need a technician now T_T

  • My laptop is the exact same one. Have been having trouble with the fan for some time. I'm replacing the fan soon. I've fixed a top screen on a DS Lite using a video on youtube, and even though this seems much more involved I'm confident I can do it, and if not, I'm not using it in it's current condition anyway, lol. Thanks for sharing this, it's helping to have visuals for all these steps.

Toshiba sucks people, don't waste your money! Poorly designed with crap fan parts.

  • This way is difficult and not recomended by ANY amature. Nor is my teporary solution. I take some forced air and blow it into the heat exaust port, when I do this, I get a good load of fine dust to blast out of the fan intake. I am sure I am not getting it all, but my heat drops very well. I have the Toshiba Satellite L505.

  • oh my god! my same computer! but I can't do that...ufffffff

  • wish me luck.. 0.o

  • omg toshiba's are horrible. The laptop fan is so hard to get to and the fan is making that unbearable noise

  • @synjerome tell me about it I had an old gateway to get to the fan there was one screw! one fing screw! droped my cpu temps from 80~90 to mid 60s :/ even that the thermal paste cam off

  • ok after seeing how the fuck to open it there is no way i am

  • mrkangavar : if u became believer just because this, its not enough. cuz if something bad happen than u betray ur faith again. so dont do it just cuz this moment. but u could do it if u really trus that God is exist. Because God is really exist. Create the world. And love u, whatever ur condition.

  • @yongtos2005 Yay! Let's take a simple joke and turn the comment section of a computer video into the comment section of a bible thumping video! Seriously, don't do that shit.

  • After seeing this I know for a fact I won't be trying this myself. LOL Glad it worked for you all though.

  • Ehhh it sounds like ur braking it, i would not do tht

  • I have a u400 sattelite pro and I have no clue to how I can take it apart, after unscrewing everything the back was still attached for some reason...

  • @TheSouthamptongirl I have the same labtop, I tried blowing compressed air into the fan, helped a bit.

  • @TheSouthamptongirl Hi. Well, if you are unsure about opening it and feel uncomfortable about doing it, we wouldn't advise trying to clean the fan yourself. You are better off taking it in somewhere to have it cleaned by a professional.

  • yea... Toshiba has worst design ever you have to almost completely disassemble your laptop to change/clean your fan

  • wtf this laptop is dusty!!!!!

  • I believe just after a couples of hours you posted this video, my Toshiba Satellite laptop (same as yours)ran into the same problem, the fan didn’t work , that’s why after a couple of minutes , it kept shutting down by itself , I checked on YouTube I found your posting freshly, it really helped thank you so much, I am an Atheist , should I be a believer now ?
