I think you can use both to move. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you can use nunchuck and classic controller to move.

For some, you need to pass story mode with a certain character. I think. For others, you need to do challenges, which is exactly why I didn't unlock all of them yet. A lot of the challenges are extremely difficult.

The story is about Grim's chest and someone released all the mojo balls. The mojo balls basically cause people to fight and creates chaos when touched. Then they just go on a journey to find who did it.
