  • My dad had the same car in silver when i was little. only thing i can remember about them is that they were really noisy inside

  • the smoke is also flammable - Try it :)

  • No wonder europeans are rednecks

  • diesel always kicked some ass

  • heres a funny story. i just bought this truck from a guy, and that day i go go fill it up. take it on the highway, it starts smoking, and then starts to die. im like, wtf? i call the guy up. tell him my situation and the only thing he can think of it i put diesel in. i look at my gas recipt.. sure enough, it was diesel in my dodge ram GASOLINE engine. the gas sation was at fault. they filled it, i was beside a gas pump not disel. so how the fuck did i fet diesel? we syphined it out and it ran!

  • neh I dont care about the polo i car about the mitsi pajero beside

  • It can be flushed out, dad did it to his boat, was so used to filling our car he forgot, mechanic said just flush it out, it'd be fine, just took a long time to start, he did say you'd never wear it out. Dad sold the boat engine 20 years later, the compression test showed it had just as much as they did when brand new according to the mechanic.

  • will it stillwork if i put rubbing alcohol in my gas engine

  • Hey you guys should try to run that on corn syrup.

Just an idea for you intellectuals.

  • im surprised it didnt blow up lmao

  • diesel is good for carbon build up, so it could potentially be good for the engine.

  • looks like hes roastin the tires off

  • I cant believe it even started!

  • i would pay to see that drive down the street in front of all those enviromentalists.

  • ewwwww the smell of diesel

  • The smoke is due to the fact that the gas engine cant completley burn the diesel

  • I asked my fried to refuel my petrol chevrolet and he accidentally filled it up with diesel. But nothing went wrong with the car..ind it ran perfectly till my house 1 mile away. After that, when we tried to start, it just wouldn't start...but things didn't get as worse as this video...it just didn't start...no smoke or anything..

We called Chevrolet and they came to our house and cleaned it up. And currently, the car is running perfectly.

  • my mum accidentally put diesel in an old 1984 mitsubishi colt. Even though she did it, the car was still running strong.

  • @Peter24397 Of course the only people stupid enought to do this is the British

  • Mosqueto fogger!! They used to run gas engines on kerosine , but they had to be warmed up on petrol first , when cooled down the engine will not start on kerosine. the big avantage of this back in the 1920`s kerosine was 3 cents a gallon when petrol was 10 cents a gallon.

  • cool, that inspired one thing. my friend flies model planes and diesel would make a great smokeoil.

  • Is it making farting noises?

  • How many types of fuels are there in the making of fuel using crude oil? Don't bull shit me.

  • no worries bout mosquitos at that place

  • ur oil will be screwed

  • I went to a gas station where the delivery guy accidentally filled the in ground unleaded tank with diesel and the diesel with unleaded. They bought me a new Honda shadow 1100 for that one.

  • I have to admit, I cant understand, how this could make that much fun to someone. But, for some reason, it's intersting that it worked that long. Look at 0:41 youtube.com/watch?v=kCSESyy2-u4

  • did you get better fuel consumption? lmao

  • The problem is the diesel is too thick to pass the jets in the carb.. so you have to choke it and pump the pedal all the time.. never tried with an injection car though.. but it can be used in an emergency.. If the engine is stil hot it will start, and you can drive it home.. just dont put any load on the engine or it will get detonations.. sounds like youre feeding it on nails. If available, its better to use kerosene or lamp oil as it has 30 octane naturally.. diesel has none.

  • It's crying, can't you hear it !!!1! D:

  • didnt think a diesel in a petrol would run at all...

  • that car wouldnt pass inspection in portugal.. smoking that way...!

  • Diesel is an oil, so, it won't damage your car... It will just clog the lines, the carburetor, the fuel filter and melt the catalyser.

  • try driving it down the street like that, lol

  • well,,, the deisel is lubricating the engine, i guess... i ran some 2-stroke lawn thinger off just deisel once, and it ran great, that is, till the cylinder sides blew out...

  • maby i should try this with my moped xD

  • I'm surprised the stuff even ignites. LoL.

  • or viceversa

  • i actually think it fixed the problem by just igniting the diesel but the cars a piece of rubbish so wouldnt really matter about damaage

  • @Coyober Totally! come here were people aren't that DUMB!

  • @Meisme550 But your in america lol....

  • You can't even fit a diesel nozel in a a gas car, wouldn't that make you think? And there is the green hose and the price difernce.

  • When smoke grenades are illegal in your country.

  • poor car, killed by an idiot

  • so is it ok to put diesel ina petro car?

  • Should have taken it for a drive like that!

  • teh surviving vw XD

  • This guy supplys Silent Hills fog Im sure of it

  • it wont pass MOT anymore, cat is dead.

  • lol, sorry tho man, wasn't a cat on these polo's :(

  • @MRkallek91 who cares about cat? we in poland sometimes cut it off so the engine has less exhaust friction

  • You need the cat to pass emissions tests

  • not in my country :D 20 bucks is enough... if even needed ;)

  • @starbucksmunky In texas we can cut those off.. hence, i wouldnt besurprised if they can cut them off there too

  • @Texarmageddon no in texas you cannot cut off a converter if you get caught it is a 2500 dollar fine

  • @MegaGuitarboss you have to be doing something rlly stupid for them to catch you

  • @MRkallek91 there isnt a cat on that model

  • @MRkallek91 It never had a cat lol

  • @MRkallek91 1988 polos don't have cats

  • @MRkallek91 Don't believe an E reg Polo would have a cat!

  • @MRkallek91 Catalytic Converters were not a legal requirement in the UK until 1992 i think.

  • @09feb1992 Yes. You're right August 1992 due to increasing emissions regulations.

  • @MRkallek91 Its an E reg, that's about 1987 or 5 years before cats became part of the MoT so no worries there old chum, I doubt it has one!

  • @MRkallek91 E reg polo's wouldn't of had a cat, sorry to shit on your parade

  • @MRkallek91 How in the name of fuck would a polo that old have had a cat from the factory???

  • the LT1 sold it long time ago, SKODA still there, i fount the best blend is to add 10 -15% kero, it will give better performance and noise, i read also that diesel engines run great with Corn oil!

  • if you get it hot enought it with run just not smooth and as you can see smoke to....

  • fuck the planet

  • it's James Bond is car you have got a smoke screen. awesome!

    just kidding :P

  • I am really suprised the diesel ignited, it can't have been pure diesel can it?

  • Since diesel is still basically oil that burns easier, running a gas/diesel mixture will smoke and run (if you can start it) the same as if you dumped a few quarts of motor oil in the tank.

  • Nice fumes! Gordon Brown would be proud lol...

  • Hey, maybe it's a funny idea to let your car run on kerosene!

  • that would work, actually

  • i have try kero in my LT1 V8, its take idel only and nothing over it, but with diesel car, kero run will - fabia sdi

  • Could you film it?

  • well, its a good way to find a exhost leak, and I put a little deisle in my gas engine every now and then, keeps everything nicely lubed. it dont harm it none.

  • hell just bump the compression way up and maybe itll work

  • omg that works!

  • Haha, fucking idiot.

  • I once put £3 worth of petrol in my dads mercedes e class without knowing it was a diesel (my car is petrol so i forgot) til i saw the cap i quickly stopped then diluted it down with £50 of diesel & got away with it. if u put about 10% of petrol in diesel it can be easily diluted

  • Yup, and in really cold climates they actually do that sometimes. 10% gas/90% diesel is ok to run. Actually old Mercedez Benz diesel's said in the owners manual that it was ok to run up to 10-15% if I remember right.

  • er...this 1 obviously.............

  • what you expect...Europeans..

  • were not all the fucking same

  • @Coyober dont ya mean petrol ?

  • Putting diesel in a petrol car is not so bad however putting petrol into a diesel can wear the engine. My dads friend did this five times to his Honda H-RV he got some one to change the fuel filter drain the petrol tank & clean out the air mass its still going to this very day.

  • Yep this 1 is still alive and kicking too

  • @finno123456 "Putting diesel in a petrol car is not so bad"

mate there is no way you can do that it fucks up your engine

  • @finno123456 a full tank of petrol in a diesel is bad but if you start filling it then think shit wrong fuel and you have not put that much in then just brim the tank with diesel and you will be fine. When it gets very cold its quite normal for people to put petrol into diesel to thin it out. it will just work like an injector cleaner.

  • & for added excitement, put gasoline in a diesel engine.

    Thats some cool stuff.

  • If you put diesel in a gasoline engine you will damage your engine.

  • In some cars you will need a catylatic for diesel.

  • Pretend it a diesel engine!! haha

  • yes try to make as much of a mess as possible during your lifetime

  • sounds if it was on its end of life

  • Follow up to my previous posting of 5 months ago (Vitara). . .

It cost me £170 for a bloke in an AA Fuel Assist van to come round and drain my tank, (and add on another £30 odd quid for the cost of wasted fuel). The procedure only took about 45 minutes incidentally. The guy was very helpful and quite sympathetic too. Everything's fine now at least. BTW, it wasn't worth claiming on my motor insurance as I have £150 excess.

Three folk at work sheepishly admitted to making the same mistake

  • I made the same mistake at least 2 times, Because I have 4 cars, 2 diesel and 2 petrol. (3 for me and my wife, and 1 company car). I also got miss out also. My wife also.

  • should write gas on the gas can door thing, then diesel on the diesel cars

  • dont have to worry about mosquitos for a while

  • 2:45 "have you checked your carbon footprint recently?, I think you F&%@ed it!"

    LMAO!!!! XD

  • Its a very common mistake but costly. They say its not so bad if u put petrol in diesel but if it was the other way round that'll cause a hell of alot damage. They say its unlikely that anybody cud put diesel in petrol as the nozzle is to wide to fit.

  • i think this is riddiculus. how is this such a common mistake?. dont u have to 'select' what grade of fuel u want to get? while ur making ur selection - dont u notice the price diff. of pet/disl ?

and if u dont mind me asking - where is this common? im so curious and why doesnt the governing body simply do what rajaboy is suggesting and have diff nozzle sizes!

  • Oh Bolllox. I just added 20 litres of diesel to my (normally) petrol powered Vitara. I tried to drain the tank with a length of garden hose, but I think there must be an anti-syphon device fitted, so no joy. God knows how much this'll cost. At least I didn't try to drive off. Before anybody says anything about "serves you right", it's much easier than you think. My local Tesco now has the same colour hoses and since this change, it's been happening several times a week

  • should be a drain on the tank, or perhaps disconnect the fuel line and let the fuel pump pump out all it can, then fill with gas and let it work itself out

although by now the trouble is likely fixed

  • i got a 93 ford escort lx with diesel in the tank....runs like shit but once it warms up it runs fine, can't wait until it is all burnt out though

  • If you read the description you will notice that this isn't my car!Or never was my car

  • sounds like the car has been cammed, almost, bit a smoke but it runs, just, plenty of missfires, that will teach ya to put the wrong fuel in

  • I know someone that did that to a Hire car

  • damn.. that shit revs pretty hight hahaha

  • Wow... talk about misfires and fucked fuel pump.

You woulda been alot better off just syphoning the tank.

  • give it 5 minutes full throttle without the rev limiter

  • if you do that you might not have to worry about what type of fuel that you put in it
