  • Okay that is great. Now, where can I buy one of those clip loading machines??

  • Wonderful, Thanks so much for sharing.

  • holy shit thats awesome

  • Excellent! I read your article in GCA and thoroughly enjoyed it. Nice job!

Incidentally, I understand was originally developed to move WWI surplus 30-06 from the 5-round '03 Springfield stripper clips to the M1's Enbloc clip. And clearly your version works quite well when hand-fed, too.

But do you happen to know if this is also how they loaded up new production ammunition into the M1 clips during WWII? Or was there a more automated way that was part of the ammunition production?

    Thanks!

  • @missile29

I am sure new ammo clips were loaded by machine, but not by this machine. Probably the cardboard was put on by hand and I think the clips were put into bandoliers by hand.

  • I read your article in the GCA and I'd love to get the plans to build one if you're willing to share them.

  • @LostAbroad101

When I have the time, I will post the plans.

    Regards, Ray

Awesome; it may end up being my first mill project when I finish setting up my garage as a small shop.

  • FANTASTIC.......Saw your article in the GCA today. Always wondered how they worked. Thanks.
