  • I DID NOT MURDER HIM!!!

  • 5 minute interrogation, in a 4:34 clip xD

  • The sound is a bit high pitch. What's going on?

  • Awesome movie !

  • I DID NOT MURDER HIM!!! fuckin epic scene!!

  • @LLPinney1969: Sorry LLPinney1969, but I'm in no mood of including racial comments (that's likely to create unnecessary fuss later) herein at this very moment. So I've removed your comment right after approving and replying to it. Please try your luck later. I do have mood swings and, who knows, you might get lucky later. Nothing personal. Hope you'd understand. Or did I just ask for too much? Anyways, pardon me if I've unintentionally offended you. Enjoy and have fun.

  • you do not wanna piss off that robot.

  • I Robot = Worse Than Howard The Duck

  • "Can you?" trollface :)

  • @alexander9619

"Minored in classical piano" bitchplease face ;D

  • dogs have dreams?

  • @albertjester maybe the writer's personal experience!!! JK.

  • @albertjester Yeah, dogs dream. They'll sometimes start barking or running in their sleep.

  • @albertjester duh, why wouldn't they?

  • @albertjester Yeah :P

  • @albertjester I think they do, because my dog whines while she's asleep.

  • @albertjester Yes, you can measure their brainwaves during their sleep and it is consistent with dreams. Also if you have a dog you can often see them dreaming and barking in their sleep.

  • @albertjester most mammels have dreams

  • @albertjester yes, that is proofed.

  • @albertjester Yes, they actually do. It has basically been proven.

  • If i was Spooner id be mad because that wasn't even 5 minutes...

  • Hi friends,

Do as it suits you, but I'm less likely to approve comments including cussing or profanity any more. You're free to put in your efforts though. Take care. Enjoy. Have fun.

  • I'm telling you YouTube audience; this WILL happen in the future. Life imitates art. With today's technology, the future is boundless - both positively and negatively. I'm not the first to say this, either. Someone shall program a robot to be the foot soldiers in a martial order. And, in heavy production, they will fight in all our wars....including the one against our own. ...It's just a matter of time

  • @KiddTut125A humantiy will soon lead itself to its own destruction, no matter what we do.

  • @crazylady692 robots like this? I'd say 80 to 100 years from now

  • 3:11 most important scene ever

  • This movie was pretty good (despite the obvious product placement), but Will Smith was cheesy as hell. His bigotry was over-the-top, not relatively subtle like the chief in Blade Runner. That was much more well-executed, but then, so was the movie.

  • NOW: robot vacuum cleaners Later: This

  • i love this movie, this movie kinda shows what happens when you put to much faith in technology, i mean we have to remember technology is created by us so it is prone to mistakes, flaws, malfunctions, its less likely to make mistakes like humans but still possible, although in this they make it seems as if the robots are perfect and its impossible for them to do anything wrong

  • It seems the hardest thing to do, other than figuring out human emotions, is figuring out how to synchronize audio and video.

  • @PrinceOfEternos83 Good way of conveying your emotions :)

  • So when is apple gonna create the i-robot.

  • @Redjoker96 its currently under construction

  • @Redjoker96 iSee what you did there.

  • I might not be that far off in the future. Check out hansonrobotics and look for Julius.

  • My favorite scene! I love I, Robot!!

  • I wonder what would happen if monk was there.

  • iRobot, sponsored by Apple.

  • can you?

  • pause 1:03 robotic puppy face

  • good movie, but the ending kinda sucks.

  • This movie was -way- better than I expected. It's not consistent, there are some flat B movie moments here and there, but on the whole, it's great. Smith demonstrates range and the writers demonstrate skill. Dug it.

Ending suprised me too, and I normally see endings, espcially Sci-Fi ones, a mile away.

  • Wonder if these Robots were manufactured by Apple.

  • You hı̸̸̸̸̸̸̸̸̸̸̸̸̸̸̸̸̸̸̨̨̨̨̨̨̨̨аve something on your screen ...

  • The way Will Smith treated this robot.

  • I LOV THIS SHOW!!!

    THX SO MUCH!

  • The Singularity is near 0_0

  • @hsmgeek4ever I'm not the only one who thinks about that? I'm glad. I...think.

  • To realise Alan Tudyk played sonny, love this film even more now

  • Hey what about cat's they don't have dreams??

  • When he mentioned Ghosts in the machine in this film I immediantly thought of Ghost in thr Shell.

  • @TheBoredomOtaku the ns5's even look like the robots from ghost in the shell 2

  • There have always been ghosts in the machine

How do we explain this behaviour?

    Random segments of code?

    Or is it something more......

  • Will Smith is hot...

  • I remember seeing this for the first time it was epic and it sill is

  • @assassinscreed1503: It's one of my best ever flicks. I know a few who consider this as an epic failure. To each their own.

  • As much as I like this move, this notion of robots as a minority population always bugged me.

Not in the concept but in the execution.

I've read a lot of background production stuff about this move and it seems that the Director had Will Smith in the role of the detective because he wanted to show a "reversal of roles".

It's like they were saying - "And African-American man is the prejudiced guy against an oppressed minority just like they once were."

Good concept but not too subtle.

  • @TheJboy88: thanks for sharing your knowledge; never saw it from that viewpoint.

  • @imrealgod ditto

  • @TheJboy88 Smiths C.O. who seems to be very high ranked (possibly captain or precinct commander) is black, but I suppose he isn't on the side of Smith either.

  • @TheJboy88 How is it "not too subtle" exactly? I didn't notice it, nor did anybody else I know for that matter. And it seems you only drew such a conclusion after having read "a lot of the background production stuff".

As you say, its a good concept. So why do you have a problem with it? I think its just an interesting feature of an already brilliant film.

  • not even 5 mins

  • i love sonny

  • i,robot-sonny,s interrogation is awesome gijoe 989

  • Oh, my god. . . The things you never see. . . Can a (insert ethnic group, nation, tribe, or religion/philosophy HERE) do xxxx. Hmmm. . .

  • i love this movie.

  • Awesome!

  • That CAN YOU?? was so deepp!!!

  • whats the name of the movie? plz reply...

  • @zKyl3z: lol, that's a good one. Even Sonny is curious to know it ;)

Anyways, if you're serious, it's "I, Robot" released in 2004 directed by Alex Proyas.

  • @zKyl3z name movie is I, ROBOT

    XD

  • sunny is awesome

  • Psssh some friend! He said he would give him 5 minutes! the video is only about 4 and a half!

  • For me,sonny is a nice guy

    For Me

  • this is a brilliant scene.

i love dhow sonny asked "...can you"

emotions are something nobody can undeerstand, humans or robots.

  • i have this film

  • Hell I don't want my toaster or my vacuum cleaner to appear emotional. Lol

  • SONNY IS SO CUUUTEE

love theway he says "my name is sonny"

  • I love how when Sunny slammed the table, his eyes look as though he's holding back tears.

  • haha, spooner.. reminds me of that advertisment of that thing that gets rid of bad breath.. :D

  • this was an awsome movie

  • Can You?

  • a robot tries to meditate , then a fly comes ... that's the story you'll see in the video blop75 , a 2mn30 home made stop motion . BUT , if you prefer cats , i have made another one called spacecat 175 , the story of a cat shitting on a distant planet . i do this as a hobby , after my working hours , but i try my best . have fun

  • @christophehersent sounds funny!!!

  • Sonny ~♥~ Best robot EVER!!!! :DDD

  • I love Sonny he's awesome and innocent :)

  • I DID NOT MURDER HIM!

  • Do the guys in the back have p-90s?

  • "My father tried to teach me human emotions. They are... difficult."

    "You mean your designer."

I love how the robot looks at him like, "Father/Designer. Tomato/Tamato."

    Then says, "Yeah."

  • Is this dubbed or something? That's not the real actors' voices.

  • @IceLanced actually it is.

  • @IceLanced its not dubbed, its just out of sync

  • @IceLanced those are the real actor's voices, their just out of sync

  • mr.eset nod32 doesn't tolerate viruses does he...

  • Can a robot become "alive"? All robots atm are programmed to do specific tasks, if a robot is programmed to learn it still has to resort to its programming to continue with its living. But, where does Self awareness/consciousness come from in the human brain? Until we understand where this derives from do we have a right to say an extremely advanced machine is incapable of Self Awareness? We are extremely advanced Biological machines that have been fine tuned over millions of years.

  • I NEED to get my hands on this movie.

  • I murdered him......i forgot to say...

  • You sound like a Hu-Man, not a Ro-Man!

  • This is dumb

  • I did not murder him, it's not true, it's BULLSHIT I did not murder him, I did NAAHT...

    oh hi Will!

  • Oops, there's no undo!!! By mistake (FYI, I'm human), I deleted a comment instead of clicking on 'Approve' button. Sorry ebroesch. For the record, here's the comment made by @ebroesch (you're very much welcome to make the same comment again. In that case, I'll remove this one.):

I used this very scene for my classes. It shows pretty much all the sub-disciplines of affective computing. Thanks for the post! I'll use the youtube clip instead of my file, it brings the ppt down to just a few Ko! :D

  • @imrealgod its ok!!

  • @uncatchableshadows Sorry, sometimes it takes more than usual time to approve comments. Really sorry for that.

  • its alright

  • @imrealgod its an awesome vid

  • I DID NOT MURDER HIM!

    -gasp-

    ...that one's called fear.

    -chills- OOOOH BUHUHUUUUURN

  • the robot is kinda cute :)

  • Love this scene

  • technacly ur video is under 5 and it took 1 minute of talking with officer john.

  • Honestly, I luv robots, I luv machines, cars, modern ones, they are pretty intreresting unlike 2 legged idiots, that just fuck and shit. Fuck that stupid nigga, this robot has to beat that sucker for real and besides I want all humanity to go down, because this Earth must be inherited by robots. Pretty soon, I hope.

  • i saw this part on tv todaylol

  • "Can you?"

"My father tried to teach me human emotions. They are...difficult."

The movie as a whole is pretty so-so action-fare (and if you're a fan of actual Asimov, downright offensive) but this scene has some great lines in it.

  • @mechanixis as odd as it may sound, the fact remains that Asimov became known to more people after this movie's release as against what it was pre-release. And if it wasn't for this movie, loads of people wouldn't even have realized about the existence of this genuinely talented author.

  • @imrealgod I actually knew about Asimov because of Summer Reading. One hell of a read.

  • VIKI IS EVIL

  • Sonny is the creator of Skynet xD

  • good scene video is out of sync by 9frames or 36ms

  • @joejoe133 hmm, sorry for that. Unfortunately, I lack the technical knowledge and ability to rectify this fault. So please bear with the one available until someone else puts up a decent clip.

  • if a robot would put some random colors on a canvas people would also see art in it

  • @uut0 haha robots aren't random though

  • 999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999

  • just found out Sonny is voiced by Alan Tudyk. my mind was blown.

  • @greenapplegirl121897

He's not just voiced by Alan Tudyk. Alan actually ACTED as sonny with the actors and his facial exressions drove the final animations. Just like Gollum and Avatar.

  • Press 7 repeatedly.... AHAHHAHAHAHAHHA

  • Press 8 repeatedly... HAHAHAHHAHAHAH

  • @MasterXXChief no press 9 repeatedly

  • @sipher100 999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999

  • i did not murder him..i did not murder him!... I DID NOT MURDER HIM!!!!!

  • wen he slamed the taable after he sat back he growled

  • This is what happens when you own a product made by Apple. iRobot 3GS

  • aw fuck that wasnt 5 minutes :-L

  • No the interesting thing in this scene is that the robot is interrogating Spooner at the same time he is interrogating the robot.

  • Fuck, I uploaded a video of I Robot and it was taken down after 6 views but this is still up? What's wrong with FOX?

  • @Freak2121GTAF: I don't know the real reason, but I can speculate. Someone here once asked me to upload the full movie, but I declined due to the fear that it will ultimately be deleted due to copyright issue (and my uploading effort would go in vain). I guess they haven't objected to this upload of mine because it might encourage others to go for the whole movie. However, that's just my guess, I can't say anything for sure.

  • I'm one of those eight. I failed

  • cant u upload the full lenth movie

    cuz i havent got it

  • ALAN TUDYK!!!!!!!!

  • 8 people has never seen the movie

  • Council of Resistance in future we need to setup to fight the evil robots

  • wish someone put the entire movie on here... in like 12 parts or something.... would have made my night..! =[

  • this is one of my favorite parts of the whole movie

  • I did not murder him

My toaster and vacum cleaner apperaing in motion...

    I DID NOT MURDER HIM!

    *slams hands into table*

I think I died laughing at that part

  • @trekmogui epic own. Might I eve

  • is this movie online anywhere? i was watching it in english class, and we didnt get to finish,

could anyone tell me where i could watch it online ? without viruses :o

  • This movie was sick.

  • "... If you love them."

That pretty much pushed it over the edge.

  • Sonny and Steve the Pirate from Dodgeball... Who woulda thought?

  • whaoooo!!!!

  • whaoooooo

  • I wish Terminator was this awesome.

  • one of the best scenes in the movie

  • lol the mouth is to fast for sound

  • I keep on expecting sonny to say "I try to be my best"

  • Alan Tudyk...Alan Turing...interestinggg hah

  • that was 4 minutes not 5

  • For the machines!

  • I do research in AI and I must say... AMAZING FUCKING MOVIE

  • It's interesting: Spooner questions the Sonny, asking "Can a robot write a symphony? Can a robot turn a canvas into a beautiful masterpiece?" Sonny answers: "Can you?" But Spooner sighs at that and changes the subject, as if to say he couldn't, but Spooner was trying to make a point that humans in general are capable of doing these things. So why did he react this way?

  • @Jabirupilot1 Sonny wanted to point out that Spooner was being an idiot. An idiot human, but still an idiot.

  • This film never bores me. I have watched it dozens of time, and every time Sonny asks questions I get emotional, knowing he is a robot, you can't help but fall in love and feel for Sonny...love this film! :)

  • 2154 in avatar looks like this

  • Sonnys amazing

  • good movie but the book by Asimov was better

  • omigosh dr.Lanning dies! im reading the book right now without knowing what will happen and now i see this! man......that just ruined it, i thought hte old geaser would die from a heart attack or something.....

  • Theres something here that doesnt make sense, if Will smith explains that robots dont feel anything then why would he ask why Sunny was hiding at the scene? and why did sunny through oldman out of the tower, what was the favor?

  • @Bulletpierce watch the whole movie & go figure ;)

  • @Bulletpierce hahahahahhahahahahahhahaha.......

  • I DID NOT MURDER HIM!

  • @fsxlover

Why is it that anyone who quotes any line from any video always gets the most thumbs up? Pretty stupid if you think about it, it's in the video, yet lemmings vote for it. Go figure

  • @fsxlover Yes you did

  • 2:38 is fuckin awesome. Robot wins haha

  • @erniesilk18

    nothing happens...

  • now lets do a movie of RUNAROUND

  • THIS MOVIE=SO UNDERRATED.

  • @Jammed9000 It was a commercial and partially critical success.

  • Hey captain pike in the backround.

  • i love this part

  • can't be 5 mins the vid is only 4:34 BAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

  • @sayaingoku101 If you think about it, it didn't have to be a 5 minute meeting like Spooner wanted. It was either, they couldn't afford it to be a full on 5 minute meeting so they made it short, or the meeting was interrupted which ended the meeting sooner.

  • Lol that makes me scared of the future, I wouldn´t buy me one in 2035. It would be creepy as hell to be awakened in the morning by one of these!!! And one day it will have a short circuit, go mad and kill me
