@LLPinney1969: Sorry LLPinney1969, but I'm in no mood of including racial comments (that's likely to create unnecessary fuss later) herein at this very moment. So I've removed your comment right after approving and replying to it. Please try your luck later. I do have mood swings and, who knows, you might get lucky later. Nothing personal. @albertjester Yes, you can measure their brainwaves during their sleep and it is consistent with dreams. Also if you have a dog you can often see them dreaming and barking in their sleep.
Do as it suits you, but I'm less likely to approve comments including cussing or profanity any more. You're free to put in your efforts though. Take care. Enjoy. Have fun.
I'm telling you YouTube audience; this WILL happen in the future. Life imitates art. With today's technology, the future is boundless - both positively and negatively. I'm not the first to say this, either. Someone shall program a robot to be the foot soldiers in a martial order. And, in heavy production, they will fight in all our wars....including the one against our own. ...It's just a matter of time
This movie was pretty good (despite the obvious product placement), but Will Smith was cheesy as hell. His bigotry was over-the-top, not relatively subtle like the chief in Blade Runner. That was much more well-executed, but then, so was the movie.
i love this movie, this movie kinda shows what happens when you put to much faith in technology, i mean we have to remember technology is created by us so it is prone to mistakes, flaws, malfunctions, its less likely to make mistakes like humans but still possible, although in this they make it seems as if the robots are perfect and its impossible for them to do anything wrong
This movie was -way- better than I expected. It's not consistent, there are some flat B movie moments here and there, but on the whole, it's great. Smith demonstrates range and the writers demonstrate skill. Dug it.
Ending suprised me too, and I normally see endings, espcially Sci-Fi ones, a mile away.
As much as I like this move, this notion of robots as a minority population always bugged me.
Not in the concept but in the execution.
I've read a lot of background production stuff about this move and it seems that the Director had Will Smith in the role of the detective because he wanted to show a "reversal of roles".
It's like they were saying - "And African-American man is the prejudiced guy against an oppressed minority just like they once were."
@TheJboy88 Smiths C.O. who seems to be very high ranked (possibly captain or precinct commander) is black, but I suppose he isn't on the side of Smith either.
@TheJboy88 How is it "not too subtle" exactly? I didn't notice it, nor did anybody else I know for that matter. And it seems you only drew such a conclusion after having read "a lot of the background production stuff".
As you say, its a good concept. So why do you have a problem with it? I think its just an interesting feature of an already brilliant film.

The movie as a whole is pretty so-so action-fare (and if you're a fan of actual Asimov, downright offensive) but this scene has some great lines in it.
@mechanixis as odd as it may sound, the fact remains that Asimov became known to more people after this movie's release as against what it was pre-release. And if it wasn't for this movie, loads of people wouldn't even have realized about the existence of this genuinely talented author.
@joejoe133 hmm, sorry for that. Unfortunately, I lack the technical knowledge and ability to rectify this fault. So please bear with the one available until someone else puts up a decent clip.
He's not just voiced by Alan Tudyk. Alan actually ACTED as sonny with the actors and his facial exressions drove the final animations. Just like Gollum and Avatar.

omigosh dr.Lanning dies! im reading the book right now without knowing what will happen and now i see this! man......that just ruined it, i thought hte old geaser would die from a heart attack or something.....
Theres something here that doesnt make sense, if Will smith explains that robots dont feel anything then why would he ask why Sunny was hiding at the scene? and why did sunny through oldman out of the tower, what was the favor?
Why is it that anyone who quotes any line from any video always gets the most thumbs up? Pretty stupid if you think about it, it's in the video, yet lemmings vote for it. Go figure
@sayaingoku101 If you think about it, it didn't have to be a 5 minute meeting like Spooner wanted. It was either, they couldn't afford it to be a full on 5 minute meeting so they made it short, or the meeting was interrupted which ended the meeting sooner.
Lol that makes me scared of the future, I wouldn´t buy me one in 2035. It would be creepy as hell to be awakened in the morning by one of these!!! And one day it will have a short circuit, go mad and kill me

Theres something here that doesnt make sense, if Will smith explains that robots dont feel anything then why would he ask why Sunny was hiding at the scene? and why did sunny through oldman out of the tower, what was the favor?

@fsxlover
Why is it that anyone who quotes any line from any video always gets the most thumbs up? Pretty stupid if you think about it, it's in the video, yet lemmings vote for it. Go figure

sayaingoku101 1 year ago
@sayaingoku101 If you think about it, it didn't have to be a 5 minute meeting like Spooner wanted. It was either, they couldn't afford it to be a full on 5 minute meeting so they made it short, or the meeting was interrupted which ended the meeting sooner.

Lol that makes me scared of the future, I wouldn´t buy me one in 2035. It would be creepy as hell to be awakened in the morning by one of these!!! And one day it will have a short circuit, go mad and kill me
