  • My crusader fit would not have died to this trap. :)

  • @Runescythe that is one of the many reasons you are a carebear

  • dont matter how many mistakes you made, you made it out alive by not making the dumbest mistake of all

  • biggest problem about interceptors is they need either an interdiction field set up by another ship or some guy that can tank cause in order to scram ur in web range and as in this video he got fucked when u webed him

  • @Mrnentendoman ceptor had a poor orbit, he either had to either get close to have enough transversal when webbed, or not get webbed at all

  • Well, your most severe misstakes was not watching local and or close range scan plus not being aligned with hostiles in the system.

  • @job187 I make about 5 or 6 severe mistakes per video.

  • wheres the comments on this video this sucks balls

    im not reading text pffft...

  • that HUD looks fucking daunting lol.

  • @Raansu I have it set up very very poorly in this video.

  • @vitallycool even still. all those menu's just seem overwhelming. don't think i could keep up with all that.

  • @Raansu its not as bad as it looks menu wise.

  • @Deadmilkmen1 I'll take your word for it lol. A buddy of mine has been pestering me to try the game, but I'm not to fond of losing everything if my ship is destroyed. Game seems very punishing. But I might try the 14 day trial this weekend. Who knows, I might like it.

  • @Raansu the only thing you lose when your ship is destroyed is your ship, not all your assets or your life :). In order to lose those, you'd have to be a co-ceo of an alliance and have a spy as the other co-ceo :)

  • what the interceptor was doing is called tackling, if that is something you want to do, I would consider Minmatar as a race, they have a nice tackle you can fly well in the first day. you wont be zipping around like that guy was, but you will be doing the same thing, and it is good practice for later.

I am speaking of the Rifter btw

  • wtf was the inty thinking lmao... really dude? :O

  • Nice good video, I'm actually get interested in the game now

  • A fine trap indeed...

  • This is one of the many reasons never to go solo anywhere in .4 or less sections.

  • @Runescythe9852 Lmao yeah but that's boring as hell. So long as you're smart, you don't get caught.

  • @VitaiLampada yeah id say 98% of the time if you know what you are doing in null sec, you wont get caught, but 100% in low sec... you have to be in idiot to die in low sec when you are not looking for a fight

  • lol at the ceptor with a cloak +1

  • Lol inty failsauce.

  • You can fight in web + scram range with a ceptor but only with a few of them, the Taranis works with fitting both a Microwarp and AB, you microwarp to the target to close range fast, then when you're in scram range switch to AB to keep traversal high. This also works very well on a Dramiel but those are far more expensive (and powerfull)

You will still receive alot more damage in those setups if you are webbed though.

  • Hey!

If you guys want to a 30 day trial instead of the regular 14 day, Message me and I'll get you hooked up. :) Fly Safe!

  • ceptor attacking a thorax is fail anyways

  • @raxxor18 I have killed many a thorax in a waspranis.

  • HAHAHA what a fail... he did a really good job getting inside web range.. LOL.

  • Drop the cloak, activate the DC...

  • @zhokar Cloak is there because we had been in the system for a while, trying to hatch a good plan while watching the pirates. Eventually I bated them into chasing me.

Not activating the DC was a mistake made because this was one of my first pvp kills.

  • Great video, same thing has happened to me 3 times.... and once with a stealth bomber that bumped me.... Great when it happens :)

  • nice music, nice video :)

  • Question. I want to fly an interceptor eventually, but I also use pulse lasers like this guy. How would I avoid being webbed?

  • @psychaospath dont use pulse. im no amarr expert but the way i see it, use long range guns, mwd, disruptor, speed tank your foes and peck them to death. if you use close range weapons you will get webbed and scrambled. trust me. ive been killed by countless interceptors because they use superior speed to stay out of range.

  • @DaAntnee Well I am an amarr expert; in pvp and pve; and using beam lasers is the same as using any of the other races long range weaponry; dont do it in pvp unless you have a definate bail out plan, and can dictate the range at which the fight is won (not necissarily fought, as you could insta some ships lol). Because most people will want to get close to you, your better off using pulses unless you have decent intel on your targets and choose to do otherwise..

  • @DaAntnee ...Pulses also have better tracking than beams, so are more likely to hit.. and they have bettter dps...

So basically; beam lasers if you have a bail out plan or are in fleet, or for pve... pulses for pvp in almost every situation unless your gut tells you otherwise and you have been playing for a long time.

  • @the666thmessiah uhh, you seem a little confused. did you just say DONT use long range guns unless you have a bailout plan? if youre out of range all youll have to do is fly farther away and then warp. and sure most people will wanna get close, but youre an interceptor, whos gonna actually get up close? another interceptor? well then hell be running afterburner so youll be faster. I suppose youd have to watch out for dualprops but thats it. ive never been killed by a close range interceptor.

  • @psychaospath His real downfall was getting warp scrambled. Never ever ever get within 10,000km when using a MWD on your interceptor. A warp scrambler will shut that down.

  • @vitallycool

Most efficient interceptor pilots never get within 20. Cos faction webs and scramblers can have bigger range. :P

  • @vitallycool

10,000km? Id say, meters, or about 10km (ofcourse faction and overheating will increase the range but..) ;P

  • @psychaospathI think you mean 10km, OR 10,000m (standard web range).

@itallycool : A Good (fleet) 'ceptor pilot will stay well out of 15km (faction webs) and simple apply 1pt to target ( or as I like: 2 *1 T2 disruptor). Interceptors are not made for combat. Your high slots should be dedicated to drone defense so IF you do get webbed you have a bit os survival until your MWD works properly again.

LT;DR: 'ceptors are made to apply warp points from range, then call for the DPS.

  • @psychaospath Another thing to watch out for would be ships that can equip heavy nosferatu. The range on these is easily 25km. If you start getting drained by one of those, you have literally seconds to navigate your ship away and warp the hell out.

  • @vitallycool i have a question, im gunna start playing soon how much does an interceptor how much does it cost to buy/build one?

  • @pendragon135790 Interceptors are a nice goal for new players. You won't be flying any within the first few weeks of playing (you will probably need some nice basic skills, frigs, and might even want a decent cruiser first) but interceptors are on the low end of skill training. So like I said, it's a good starting goal for new players.

  • @vitallycool Its not nos, but neutralizers you need to watch out for. Luckily, if you know your stuff, you can predict which ships will be equipped with a neut. Usually its gallente drone boats like the vexor/ishtar myrmidon and dominix. There's also minmatar ships, often their t1 cruisers, vagabonds hurricane's and typhoons use neuts, and then for amarr ships there's the arbitrator, curse, and pilgrim.

  • @psychaospath stay outside of web range.

that said, idk what the max effective of small pulse lasers are (minmatar ftw).

  • Red Wolf Trading Company 4 life or when i cant pay anymore lol.

  • i need to get eve online but all i can imagine myself doing in there is mine alot go into pvp with a good ship then die, quit eve be sad about money wasted.

  • @gamerx112 i get wasted all the time.got blasted by freaking sentry gun at gate thinking i was cool just 2 days ago. join a corp and have back up,you last longer too.unless they like my corp, never online.

  • cool story bro.

  • Malediction ftw... orbit at 20km and speed around the target at like 4km/s

  • Nice so tip there is stay out of Web and scram range

(learning how to fly a taranis and Ares)

  • lol

  • Tip #1 of intys

    NEVER!! get within web range.

    Tip #2

    NEVER!! fight domis

    :D

  • lol. If he came within 10k of you in an interceptor he deserved to die.

  • No way!

The dude in chat at 1:40, Spectre Wraith suicide ganked me in highsec whilst I was transporting literally all my stuff in a Mammoth... Not cool, man. :(

Please don't ask me how I noticed that. XD

  • NIN FTW

  • What's the fitting on that thorax?

  • LOL pwnage :D

  • seems like u need a rlly fast computer for this to work, ive looked at other videos an they all go rlly slow an laggy the in game thing not the vid, true or not?

  • Don;t need a massivly high spec machine to run the game. Lag tends to be at the server end rather than the client.

  • @hardbyte I can run it on my lap top x3100 XD

  • I would turn friendlies off your overview

  • lol that was an amarr interceptor, what do you want?

  • @destroyka101 my crusader is good

  • God ppl who use cloaks need to be slapped....

  • hmmz bit lame and further more keep your dc up all time and insted switch of the armor rep about 5 cycles earlier ^^ and that manti could have been prey aswell... boring fight + bad inty pilot

  • i like the hardcore ass music

  • this game is the best i want to get it but for some reason the downloading does not work (Free)

  • I find it better to use manual flight in an inty, it allows you to adjust to enemy turret tracking if needed. The trick is in keeping them in range of your point so they can't escape. God only knows why that guys buddies too so long to warp in to assist since an inty on it's own is going to do fail damage to most ships (with the exception of the Taranis) Your job is to get point and hold them there until backup comes to shred them.

  • lawl my best one was an inty came at me in a drake, i loaded precision heavies he tackled... bounced off a gate and instapopped :D

  • you already got +1 for hd uplaod before i even watched it thanks 0/

  • when i fly an interceptor.. a Warp disruptor works best for this reason exactly

  • @Bobbycra yup! webs = inty instadeath

i set my orbit for around 14km so when you're orbiting at 5000mps you get pushed out to 19km...

  • How eccentric your orbit is really depends on a few skills, spaceship command, high speed maneuvering, and a few others i cant think of. Also gotta take istabs into consideration.

  • yeah man =)

    i know, i've played since march 04 ;)

  • lol so true

  • the inty pilot didnt do much wrong after he fit a short point

  • @pie666753 "he fit a short point" haha

in all seriousness, he used short point on a thorax, which has medium drones and often runs a web aka he was asking to die... he would have been better off chasing after that SB if only to get it to cloak or warp away both of which would have meant a (momentary) stop in the shooting

also, props to that SB pilot for hiding behind an asteroid to slow down possible incoming tacklers

  • well to be fair id say long point with long range turrets or even shorts turrets with ranged ammo basically an inty wants to keep out of scram and web range

  • exactly, which is why I use pulses on my crusader... if they probably have web, I go for scorch and if they don't I go imperial multifrequency

  • Zombiepwnage is wrong, more like 12 GB

  • are you mad? its about 3 gigs last i rember (trust me i had bugs and had to reinstall it alot)

  • 5.813 GB

    :)

  • your wrong its not 12gb

  • Oh and uh are you flying in low-sec?

  • Looks like its .4 so that'd be a yes.

  • I used to put a cloaking device on my Vagabond and just wait like 60km above a belt... I got many kills like that. :)

  • AHHHH turn your damage control on

  • how big is EVE's client download? ty

  • Try downloading it.

  • entire client is 3-4 gigs, pretty small for a massive sandbox game like EVE

  • I downloaded the 14 day trial and I can't wait to try it out. :D

  • same yesterday i down loaded the 14 day trail but i am waiting to install it at off peak time

  • off peak time?

  • then i guess ill see u in space

  • If ships could be forcibly raped, this is what it would look like.

  • whats this game about...?, i only know im from iceland and it was made mby icelandairs and is 1 of the biggest online games, do u just fly around on spaceships or?

  • You should go to there website and read about it.

  • crusader pilots always thinks they are kings xD

  • muth, i think he may have been uncloacked by the interceptor... just maybe, i didnt see him turn it off.

  • @pogajt10

Sorry didn't see the comment. And I knew I've posted somewhere in this clip before. Only luck I saw it now =)

Actually. I don't think that was the case. He at least looked 45km out to me. Might have been decloaked, I dunno. But to me it seemed like he was just a bit to eager to get into fight.

  • OMG all that T2 Stuff and the ship X_X...now thats gotta make a hole on the dictor pilot wallet :P

  • T2 stuff is the cheapest and better than any other stuff, and when you are missionning lvl 4 quality 20 => between 12 and 20M ISK per mission, only thing annoying => the T2 stuff require some skills ;)

It's not really a problem for your wallet anyway ...

  • What song is it?????? =)

  • This is a song from Trent Reznor off his Ghosts Album which are a series of free albums via torrent.

  • Ah, cool. Thanks. There are four Ghost albums. Any idea which one it's off? =P

  • 3 Ghosts I

    is the track

  • Thank you, again. =)

  • yeah the DCU should always be on in combat, and most of the time you should have one if you're flying gallente, they have a bonus to structure HP so they get the best out of a DCU of any race, and a DCUII is fairly inexpensive, I never leave the station without it.

  • i have problems with this game, the first mob i killed was weird, when i looted it i had to buy the loot :S

  • two days later, flying a cruiser :)

  • lol, bastard. Nice strategy anyway, even if nothing special.

  • Nice gank although I personally always keep my damage control on because it gives shield resist as well as it doesn't uses relatively no cap :)

And ya, those close range ceptors are doomed once ya web+scram them lol.

  • what ship are you using? Im getting the trial tomorrow and I want to see what type of ship u have.

  • thorax, its the first gallente cruiser

  • What is the name of the song?

  • turning off your dcu... failll

  • dcu's uses like no cpu so it wont hurt

  • You mean no CAP - so i believe you just failed ;)

  • lmfao damn typo u kno wat i meant damnit XP

  • Lol yeh i know - Just couldn't pass up the chance :p

  • hehe =)

  • Hook, line, and sinker. Great vid. :D

I also lol'd at all the ISK Seller spam in Local Chat. xD

  • Video Creator: this is some nice high-res capture you have, what recording software do you use?

  • Double that if you take an industry career.

  • Someone finally used one of the Ghosts for a video theme song! Oh yeah.

  • Well that showed him. xD

  • Well someone shoulda stayed out of web range. Your gain though :D

  • heheeh owned :D

  • I've got 14 million skill points and about 300 million isk in the bank, and yet pvp still makes me shit my pants. It's been months since I last went into low sec, and I'm scared to go back and look for a fight, because you always risk running into a pilot with better skills and fitting, and you risk running into an entire FLEET, god forbid. The next time I go looking for pvp, I'll be in a Catalyst and I'll be with at least 8 other corp members. Risk doesn't get much lower than that.

  • lol yup and back wen bombers had cruise missiles frigates still wasn't safe

  • I dont know, I personally dont like using Destroyers for PvP, they're too small to do any real effect to anything other than some frigates, and just big enough for everything to be able to hit. If you have 300 million ISK, best to either buy a (battle)Cruiser and maximize it's survivability, or swarm the enemy with frigates.

  • The poor serpentis pirates were probably thinking, WTF is going on?

  • If his pod doesent warp out on time scramble him and ask for ransoms :D

lolz it works if he has good implants...

  • does that thorax fit still have a good effect in eve? minus the cloak of course...

  • Why did you not have your damage control on ?? lol

  • This was one of my first kills. You know how it goes.

  • Nice first kill.

But a little note here. You shouldn't have decloaked the SB so quickly. Just killed the crusader alone and had the other two commit to the fight first. Then change target to the rax and hold him once the crusader pop. At that point you decloaked the SB corp mate.

And for the love of god. Clean up your overview. Drop the station, drones and wreaks at least. =)

  • i think everything in that whole UI need to be cleaned up

  • lol he needs to orbit at over 10 km so he dont get webbed, getting webbed kinda defeats the purpose of interceptors

  • sweet video mate.

  • Comment removed

  • Carbon, you must have a weird looking penis then....

  • "Comment removed", LOL, is somebody embarassed? Did he make that stupid "Thorax looks like my d*ck" remark? LOL

PS: I still think the bottom engine on the Thorax model completely ruins that otherwise beautiful ship.

  • That happens alot, one of the few things I hate about Eve is they often make Beautiful spaceships, then completely ruin them with some ugly random part(s).

With how cool that game is, some ships like the Moa are a total eyesore. I would enjoy the game much more if they had had put as much coolness into all the ships, rather than JUST the awesome looking Amarr ships.

I love Caldari, but alot of the ships are too assymetrically horendous for me to fly with any dignity.

  • agreed

  • Man, I wish This game was eaier to learn because it looks great

  • give it 2 weeks and join a corp and ask them anything you dont know you will soon get the hang of it.

  • This game is very complicated in the beginning, but its all about getting the right help. Just join a corperation (the tutorial explains wat that is) and i'm sure if they except beginners they will be happy to help u understand the game better. You'd be suprised of how much u can learn about the game in a couple of weeks.

  • lol same i tried to play but theres just so much to learn i just couldnt be bothered if i had more time i probly would give it a go but u no

  • well, You do love cod4, sooooo

  • Hmm, the music sounds like a remix of one song from CnC Tiberian Sun....

  • Played the trial its ahrd and challenging probly gunna get it if there are time careds

  • that interceptor pilot got exactly what he deserved. A. he orbited WAY too close. B.He Used approach rather than manually approaching you. C. He used Orbit constantly rather than breaking and changing directions.

    nice video.

  • so when you orbit you should say orbit at 15km then change the 16 then change the 13 or something?

  • no. what I mean is if you choose to orbit you need to break orbit and turn around. or even better, dont Orbit and just constantly keep forming a zig zag formation. and should you get too far away never approach head on, try to go perpendicular with them. Approaching head on is NEVER a good idea in an interceptor.

  • bloodmoney bootcamp...you probably could have killed them with an atron

  • A common trick of a belting cruisher and a sb alt. Dunno why this had to be posted. What shoudl I say, when I was attacked by a reckon, and my cane almost fucked it up, and the fag cyno fielded his alt with an archon? lol

  • NIN!!!!! love this album

    GHOSTS I-IV

  • Yeah you should have tried to point that hostile Thorax. Your manti pilot would have shredded him.

  • He caught me off guard when he jumped in. I fumbled around quite a bit.

  • yet another movie that would work great with benny hill, and yes that intercepter did fail /refit and maby a better ship (it was likely his first week on eve)

  • I was always confused about the role an interceptor played. Can anyone clarify?

  • They fly super fast in order to catch the enemy and warp scramble them. They don't have much firepower and some people don't even equip weapons on them.

You can't normally hit them, unless they get in range to get webbed/scrammed which is what this guy did.

  • why cant you normally hit them? they can operate E-war from afar? (that rhymed)

but yeah. thnx for the explanation.

  • They are just too damned fast.

  • missiles can hit them quite easily now. Sucks actually, they used to be near untouchable.

  • Ceptors are a tad more risky, but it makes it more fun IMO. Nothing like getting pinned down and escaping.

  • they shouldnt be untouchable, btw. just how it should be.

  • ugh.... the learning curve on EVE is SO HIGH.... its confusing and no one is willing to help the weenie frigate

  • what's your username, i'll give you a hand - it's tough at the beginning, but it just gets better and better

  • you will get it, hang in there....just takes a little time but its very rewarding.
