You are absolutely right. There is no evidence of an afterlife. In fact the vast majority of Christians have misinterpreted the Bible concerning this. Most of them think that a disembodied spirit that is fully conscious floats up to heaven or down to hell when a person dies. The Bible actually states that when a person dies they are dead. It is only when Christ returns at the second coming do they receive life in a physical body. Also the wicked will be destroyed not tortured for eternity.
That's just the tip of the iceberg. I teach seminars on Bible prophecy and you would be amazed what these prophecies have to say about Christians in the last days living in the United States. Yes the U.S. is covered in Revelation and it is not favorable. Professed Christians are going to be the greatest persecutors of Jesus true followers. THEY will actually be the ones enforcing the mark of the beast all the while attempting to avoid a counterfeit one. It is very ironic.
Well, you and I obviously aren't on the same page with everything, but we can certainly agree on that not all Christians are very... Christian.
What surprises me the most is some of the hostility and bile we see from many of them - ever so often defining themselves by being against something; anti-gay, anti-abortion, anti-this, anti-that.
It doesn't seem very Christ-like (although he too had his irate moments...)
@carp1844 grow up prophesy is hokum anyone with intelligence who has looked at it can easily see the specific ones are either manifested by men and fulfilled through a desire of some to fulfill it or rarely if not never fulfilled, in other words guess how many jelly beans are in the jar their is bound to be a couple of people who get close to the right number and they tend to be athiests need i say the rule of large numbers

The books of Daniel and Revelation predict with successive and detailed accuracy Babylon, Persia, Greece, Rome, the breakup of Rome, The Papacy and it's 1260 year reign, the United States, and finally the Papacy's return to tyrannical power. There is only one Christian denomination of the hundreds on the planet that actually understand these prophecies. The Bible explains why that is. Study carefully.

That's... quite interesting. That's not something we hear about every day.
It's definitely a message you should be spreading, not just to non-believers, but certainly to Christians as well.
Because if that is the case, then a lot of discussions around here are based on a grave misconception.
... but then, that's not solely because of this particular subject.
