  • @Okay this guy a hero for what he did but the american pilots were also heroes too and american pilots were in far more danger than this guy with all the S.A.M and anti-aircraft guns shooting from the ground. U.S pilots knew if they were shot down and captured it was a 100% guarantee they would be tortured or killed. U.S pilots don't enjoy killing innocent civilians with their bombs but its impossible to avoid when the enemy put hit targets in civilian areas.

  • In Vietnam war, MIG 17`s were the surprise, not MIG 21. At that time both - americans and russions tought that there will be no more gun dog fight - just rockets. And extremelly agile MIG 17 proved that time of dog fight isn`t still gone.

  • Love that Mig 21 !! With good avionics, a good pilot could clean anyone's clock !!

  • Vietnamese aces mig21 "wartime" Tomb Nguyen, Nguyen Van Coc, Mai Van Cuong, Nguyen Hong Hu, Pham Thanh Ngan, Dang Ngoc Ngy, Nguyen Van Bay, Vu Ngoc Dinh, Le Thanh Dao, Nguyen Dang Kinh, Nguyen Duc EBLD, Nguyen Ngoc Do, Nguyen Trieu Nato, Nguyen Tien Sam, Le Huy, Huy Luu Tiao, Nguyen Van Ngia.

  • nỗi khiếp sợ của không lực Hoa Kỳ là đây!!!

  • Tough guys. They had more aces than the Murricans, which you'd never know from the way Western media cover this stuff. We Western dumbasses get fed the lie that the commie hordes had numbers versus our quality, but in the air at least "we" outnumbered the Vietnamese massively... which is why they had more aces. They had more targets!

  • have to salute a good pilot!

  • F-4 is always better than MiG-21 in theory, but on the battlefield, pilot's skills and his luck made another story :)

  • Downing nine enemy aircraft is a tremendous achievement by a single pilot, under the given circumstances.

  • Beats those history channel documentaries were the only aces are americans. Idiots like the chinook guy in the comments section still cant believe what happened to them. Great video Awsome channel (even if i don't understand most of it)

  • the vietnamese fighter pilots are among the best fighter pilots ever!!! By the way, does someone can provide an actual overview of the Vietnamese Air Force? Bases, units, aircrafts...MANY THANKS IN ADVANCE...

  • Early Missile Technology Was Very Bad Most of the Kills came too the Use of Guns in Vietnam im Sure he did use his missiles but i bet most of his kills was with guns

  • Nice shoot Vietnam brothers)Glory russian weapon!

  • How I wish I could read this crap you are spouting off. Russian equipment and Russian know how the The NVA had zero.

  • @bobtis So you mean the pilot has nothing to do with the victory? the MIG21 flew and shoot enemy down by itself? Men, how stupid you are!!!

  • We can thank the Mongoid Soviets for training some of these Air Gooks.

  • @xxchinookxx LOL hahahahhaha little bitch red neck by Mongoloid Soviets you really mean Russians, well too bad their training and weapons sent your ass packing in Vietnam LOL butthurt are you.

  • How did he manage to evade the Americans AIM-7 missiles? was his version of the MiG-21 equipped with RWR (radar warning and receiver) or just simply by sight?

  • @Elfulcrum777 As I know his MiG-21PF didnt has RWR. In my view he evaded them by getting warned by his wingman or looking in the mirror. It could be also a feeling. A note is that Nguyen Van Coc scored his most kills as a wingman. The role was to protect the flight leader. So he was a defensive fighter pilot that earned him the nickname "Iron Falcon" and Lurking Tiger".

  • @VNMIG Evading all those missiles with no RWR must have been quite difficult dangerous and requiring nerves of steel and amazing concentration and good eye sight . it amazes me he pulled it off btw how many of his kills were Phantoms?

  • @Elfulcrum777 he claimed two, but the americans claimed that he shoot down 3 F-4s.

  • @VNMIG the rest were bombers i assume

  • @Elfulcrum777 to be more precise F-105 Fighter Bombers.

  • @VNMIG yeah i thought so i just couldn't remember the name

  • @VNMIG Another issue might be the low performance of early semiactive radar guided air-to-air missiles. It is a topic that is often discussed, and some cite rules of engagement making beyond visual range launches rare. I believe the early Sparrow and Sidewinder models did not have low smoke propellants, giving a clear visual indication for launches.

  • @Elfulcrum777 Aim-7's we're not very reliable in dogfights as it would overshoot a target during high G maneuvers, and most were faulty. Then the F4's become prey as they are not designed with guns to combat in dogfighting until later.

  • @trip7shark Even the new AIM-120 missiles are not that great, in Kosovo one MIG-29 pilot dodged at least 8 Aim-120 while flying his malfunctioning plane and then landed at a base

  • @Elfulcrum777 very simply during the vietnam war the aim 7 to put it in a better word was extreemly un reliable thanks to the tech being new and vietnams climite the aim 7 only worked about 10% of the time

  • @Elfulcrum777 Accuracy of first versions AIM-7 was really bad.

  • To*' la` Nguyên Văn Ếch đây.

  • Was this the pilot that got shot down three times and still went up in another fighter to engage the americans??

  • @spacecop67 No he wasnt. It must be a another pilot.

  • @VNMIG I knew Huey pilot that flew in Vietnam, was shot down 3 times and got a Silver Star.. Equipment whether rifles or planes can be replace but as we know in WW2 Germany had aboundance of planes but few experienced pilots so did Japan. Japan had 80,000 fighters but no fuel or experienced pilots..

  • @spacecop67

is spacecop67 another son of a VN Veteran who got shot down

once by a teenage VN pilot and now he wants revenge by

trying to start trolling on youtube????

  • congrats to vietnam people's army's air heros. you guys did an excellent job.

  • was he shot down after becoming an ace or did he survive the whole conflict?

  • He survived the war becoming later a lieutenant general of the Vietnamese Army. From 1996 - 1999 he was Commander in Chief of the Vietnamese Air Force and from 1992 - 2002 he was Chief Inspector of the Vietnamese Army.

  • @VNMIG interesting , it looks America met its match with this guy

  • claps claps claps! he not just has defended his nation, he has defended our liberty, those all countrys amenaced by the USA empire

Ppl like him teached us that we have to defend ourselves of invadders nations like USA nd their alliers, hes my hero too nd urs because Nguyen Van Coc fought everyone who knows wich one its the true enemmy

  • well said !

  • @SmArOv C´mon, don´t be so naive. It´s absolutely clear that both forces (USA and the CCCP) where making a lot of free research with their equipment and designs during this war (and many others), using also fresh meat for that purpose: Marines, Army, Navy, VietCong, etc. Almost no true ideology there, just business. However, all those fighters are amazing machines. Hope that we would never go through a war, to suffer against that kind of weapons.

  • if someone can give a translation

  • Soldiers of Vietnam, forward! The gold star afluttering Leading the people of our native land out of misery and suffering. Let us join our efforts in the fight to build a new life. • .
