I'm just checking your video out now, and this is one of my all-time Bad Co favorites...thank you so much for breaking it down for me. I was close, but you are the master :). Your friend, Pat
I really like your vids, They clear and easy enough to understand. I like your alternatives, also you do not waste time talking. Yours sound pretty accurate.... very good job.
thanks for giving your time to check out the vids and your kind post is greatly appreciate sir! Most of all keep rockin and all the best with your music....dale.
i've never tried it in open G - i guess i might work but i'd be concerned about the walk down on the E string at the end of the chorus. To my ear this is one of their tunes that is in standard....thanks the kind post and all the best with your music!
Love BadCo! Saw them in high school circa 1970-something, and am still a big fan. I've always felt Mick Ralphs doesn't get mentioned enough in guitar god conversations. Great lesson...and love that Collings guitar!
Working on this one today, I was reading thru some of the comments & saw 1 saying you're from KY. I'm from the northern part of the state, across the river from Cincinnati. Good to know that we have such a talented musician in the Bluegrass state!! Great lesson, thanks for posting it!!
hello Darryl....really appreciate your post sir and thanks for checking my channel. Hey we may have to meet up and talk shop and pick one of these days! All the best with your music,
great job, as usual. thanks dale. i as well am requesting some billy gibbons!!!! (never get sick of, and love to play bad co. however) thanks again for your time!!!
BG is a MONSTER isn't he! Man he makes any guitar just sound fantastic - thanks for the kind post and i appreciate you checking this out - keep rockin!
T-dr: Once again, great lesson. and Thanks again - keeping we folk motivated to learn new material. Learn this song, you've learned more about the guitar for sure.
Hey tonedr, Good lovin gone bad is one of my favorite songs . bad co and Free are 2 of my favorite bands. Thanks to you I`ll learn this song. You play it with the right feel and sound. Thanks Paul
hello Paul, great to hear from you and we have a lot in common! I love Bad Co as much now as i did 35 years ago hearing these tunes for the 1st time.....thanks for watching and i wish you all the best with your music!!
you have a taught me a lot..I`m just a strummer and a half ass singer..but even songs I know..watchin`you I have improved the way I play them..You are awesome Dale..I know I joke around sometimes with ya ..but your talent..blows me away..you play great..you teach great..and the way you get away with robbin`those banks to pay for those guitars is admirable..hee hee...THX..ToneDr.
your post are a lot better than my videos will ever be!!! I'd almost forgotten about P Diller!!!! man that took me back sir........hope you are doing great and my only regret is that we can play this old ones together.......stay well and know you've got a friend in KY,
Wow! What a wonderfully & methodically displayed dissection of this smokin' hot Bad Company song! While I'm a drummer & have a fairly strong interest in learning how to play the guitar, this "instruction video" is certainly making me lean more towards saving money to get a guitar. It's really pleasing & soothing to watch you play effortlessly with the different chords & the little "fill-ins" you do. Perhaps all that's left is to stand and play as if you were rocking on stage live? Great lesson!!
thanks so much for taking your time to watch and your kind post is greatly appreciated! Great to hear about your music - great also to hear about your interest as a drummer in guitar! Hope all is good,
Thanks for the reply! I actually have a '57 Princeton that has a very dirty sound. Please recommend a good distortion pedal to me that I can use on all my old Fender amps. I have at least 9 early '60's Fender amps. You name the amp I have it. Thanks again, Mark
wow - what a great collection!! I really like my Fulldrive pedal for blues/classic rock but it isn't high gain sounding. Their OCD pedal can take it to the next level for sure. I like the true bypass and tone of the pedals. Thanks for talking gear - take care sir,
Hey Dale.....great vid and tutorial. Can't wait to give it a try. I'm wondering though...why don't you sing this one too? Probably only take a couple clamps in the right place to hit those notes. Just kidding...keep up the great work and Peace,
but when you going to do another flatpicking lesson for all them country bumpkins like me LOL?
I'm hosting a bluegrass jam here the
15th Aug. come on up for the weekend we have banjo, mando guitars and even a stand up bass all we need is a great player like yourself to compleate it
i think it is great those 'classic rockers' are still doing their thing and making killer music! Rodgers is just one of rocks greatest voicest to my hears and Queen - oh my what a group! Thanks for giving this a look, best,

well done, do you have an opinion on doing this in open G? Obviously it knocks out most soloing opportunities, but I was just wondering .

Pete Townshend used Les Paul's with mini-humbuckers.
FYI

i'm really digging them - good enough for Pete!!!
tonedr 2 years ago
My first real guitar was a Les paul with Deluxe pickups.
Fat sound from little pickups.
Also, you have made it to the pinnacle of success since you get to play music with your own child.
That is your son right?
Thanks Dr.

I can't tell.
It certainly has deluxe (as in Les Paul) pickups right?
