I believe that you are misreading the complaints about Hanford. For some reason you think that by someone complaining about Hanford, they are making a personal attack on you or your coworkers--which certainly isn't the case.

I'm moving to Portland in less than a month--but am seriously considering not moving now that I've become aware of Hanford. This is sick, the half life of Plutonium is just under 15,000 years--but it takes 240,000 years for it to reduce to a safe level. Seriously think about that. What's the current status on Hanford??
The town site of Hanford is off-limits to unauthorized visitors. The best way to see it is to participate in the infrequent bus tours that are given by the government.
