Leaders need to do a much better job of DEFINING what "progressive" means, rather than assuming that people understand terms like "values" or "justice". They also need to discuss what "capitalism" means, because most people are basically clueless about it -- even though it's the system that rules their lives.

This communication problem is not limited to progressives. If the intellectual depth of the rhetoric in this country were like a flood, you wouldn't even need hip waders to stay dry.
