  • Thanks a lot! I recommend you don't use me as an exact model, though -- this is the kind of piece where 20 different people could play it and it'll never sound the same twice.

I recommend you decide for yourself on the degrees of pedal and dynamics, and the lengths of pauses. Most of all, though, just make it your own interpretation.

  • Awesome piece - and good playing. Never heard of Alexina Louie before - I'll have to check him/her out. Keep up the good work!

  • Thanks! My favorite composers are actually Debussy and Chopin. This was a pretty audacious project for me, but I really liked it. I actually wish I had more time to make it even better.

  • dude that's awesome i am always impressed with people that can play piano and your one of them. that was an excellent piece

  • Hi Moonlight129. :) Thanks.

  • This is quite good. I think you should take a lot more time, especially in the big contrasts, such as the subito ff in the left hand trill. I think it will help for the interesting sonorities of the piece to have a more profound effect (I'm also learning this piece!)

  • Wow! right back at ya! I have never seen another Alexina Louie composition on youtube before. Great job!

  • that was great! what a fantastic piece

  • Excellent Mark! You are great!!!

  • Holy cow! THE George Li commented on my video...wow, thanks. ^_^ You're awesome.

  • Great job Mark! How long did you practice for this piece in particular?

  • Just a little over 3 months. I probably could've done better with a bit more time.
