As for the band, I think that after being together for 13 years, it would be a hard thing to end. They were in their teens when they started with Akasaka Komachi and in their 30s (except for Kaori) when it ended. I checked out Kyoko's blog last month and she mentioned that it was 14 years since it all ended.
It hurts my heart to know that there was once something so beautiful, so special, that brought joy to so many but now has passed away to live only in our memories. I don't know if the hurt comes from the beauty or from sense of loss of what could have been.
I have seen a clip of the band sitting the the control room after playing this last tune. They are crying and listening to the audience calling for another encore but they couldn't go out.

upありがとうございます。当時wowwowで生中継にかじりついて見ていたことを思い出しました。この動画の最後、会場が暗くなった後で武道館のみんながdiamondを歌っていたのが印象的でした。

actually they weren't wearing white so that's probably not the same show, unless they changed and Kyoko got new stuff in her hair
