I think we have a real quality machine here that is for real gonna go for the next 30 years if it weren't for the coming oil-to-electricity change. Even if it isn't the most tech-advanced, so is it probably among the worlds most reliable aircrafts.
I'm going to Australia next year and I will be going Singapore! I wanna go on that beautiful piece of EUROPEAN aircraft. It's the beginning of the end for Boeing.
...the 748 is the abbreviated version of 747-8. All airlines do this - 777-300 is 773, 737-800 is 738 etc. While the 748 hasn't been built yet, it certainly does exist.
It's big. However, it cannot compare to the Boeing 787 Dreamliner. The B787 has dwarfed this airbus in sales and is sold out until 2015. Boeing, the King.

Please compare the A380 with the 748 and the 787 with the A350 and things look diffrent. Just for you to know, the A350 sold in 11 months half the order backlog of the 787. But the 787 is of course a fantastic plane to.
You cannot compare these two planes. There are so much research done in both of the planes and they are aiming at diffirent markets. So far has the a380 made a fantastic job and it's even better than whats promised. So far it is by far the best plane ever built. But then it's also the most tested plane ever before going to the market.
