  • @cumfiction Me too.

  • Long time since I've heard this one. Has a very distinct Crowded House vibe to it. Did Neil Finn write it?

  • @radikalenergie no it's not it's wet as piss

  • Can I Be this ONE?

  • I LOVE this Song. : o )

  • I also have the 12" vinyl version of this song!

  • Always loved this song from "Flowers In The Dirt", from the moment I put it on the turntable (yes, they used to have those!). I remember when he played it concert too. One of the strongest songs from the album.

  • Paul's smile. ♥

  • very, uh, george harrison

  • @kaiserkeller61 not to mention all the times you see Krishna in the vid as well...coincidence? ;)

  • This is from the "Flowers in the Dirt" CD, which came out on June 3, 1989. I must have called the local record store everyday for weeks and weeks trying to figure out the release date. It remains one of my favorite McCartney albums, but this is the FIRST TIME I ever saw this video! Thank you for uploading it!

  • I LOVE THIS♥

  • Vocal @ 2:30. Superb :D

  • great song, it brings me back to 92 when i was a grocery bagger at the market.great artist, top ten.

  • great song still the end is a little weird

  • @heartofzorro WAT? It's Paulie. You think he'd SIT through a WHOLE SONG? He is a the Knight (Sir Knight) who must get out the battle axe and swing it a few times! It's ROCK & ROLL, DOOD! It's the PERFECT ending.

  • subscribing!

  • 3:06 Love Hamish's (or is it Robbie?) backing vocals here!

  • the song is quality but the video is weird...

  • this is my new fav paul mccartney song of the week (last week was "comming up")

  • Macca is very talented man, much underated by most english people as they dont appreciate success. When he is dead they will apprecaite him more than they know, and they will all say how wonderful he was, as they did with Lennon when he got murdered, prior to his death the average person in England thought Lennon had gone mad, left the Beatles and run off with some mad asian women. Lennon himself wrote "everybody loves you when your six foot underground" how right he was!!!

  • @pogle30 I absolutely HATE to think that Paul is going to die someday, but what you say is true. Whenever I talk about Paul, my friends are like "Wait who? Oh, that guy from the Beatles? I don't listen to old music" (we're 16). On the day that he dies (which I hope won't be for a VERY LONG TIME), they'll probably be the first people to say "Omg this is so sad I loved him so much he was such an icon, etc".

It's really sad that musicians are mostly appreciated after their death.

  • @Pommejaune78 to Elvis Presley Michael Jackson happened that D:

  • @Pommejaune78 I know exactly how you feel! I'm going to cry, untill I melt into a puddle, when Paul dies. & I'm 15, and my friends are the same way,...clueless about great music.

  • @Pommejaune78 Paul already IS dead, didn't you know? ;)

  • @cockshield Of course he is ;) Haha.

  • @pogle30 Nailed it, dude!

  • This swan?

  • Those eyes?

  • Yes, but will we ever know who is the walrus? goo goo ga joob....

  • Que Gran tema!

  • Those eyes scare me so much, I can't even watch the video D:

  • @EggyPong Leave Linda alone, She never did anything to you!

  • @MOONST0MP Leave Linda alone, she never did anything to you.

  • Lovely Linda <3

  • who is this plotchickens.....they shall die for talking shit about the late great Lady McCartney.

  • JUST SHUT THE FUCK- UP!!!@PLOTCHICKENS.....MAKE ONE IF YOU'RE JEALOUS...YOU ARE THE ONE WHO IS STUPID & FULL OF CROP!!! PIECE A SHIT!! WHO EVER YOU ARE ASS HOLE...

  • sencillamente fabuloso. 10 estrellas.

  • This song is about John - Paul says so in an interview, apparently.

  • So? Did YOU take the opportunity during the last minutes or hours to tell your beloved ones that you love them? NOW is the moment! They could get a stroke tomorrow or get taken by a car, never forget.

  • Holy crap, the faint cord in the biggining took me back to Sgt Pepper - a day in the life. Anyone else..?

  • 1:13 Like Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest

  • @esais64 OMG, I wasn't the only one who thought that, then... xD

  • @MCullenHightopp Yes...it's in the cannibals scene... Jack Sparrow is treated like the king and they are going to eat him

  • :D

  • i sounds like John Lennon is singing with Paul at 2:35

  • 1:13 so thats where lady gaga got the eyes from :D:D:D:D:D

  • i know that i m not suppossed to do but...i love this song !

  • he made this for George for sure!

  • a musician icon,a creative sense of lyrics/song melody tunes,legend.peace.

  • i used to like mccartney, but his songs have lost all sophistication after he left the beatles. this song is so meanstream and superficial and so is the video...

chaos and creation and memory almost full were much better than nearly all his stuff he did from 80s-2000

  • @ltran90 - I think you've got it backwards - Paul really hasn't put out a strong album since "Flaming Pie" in 1998. His "post Linda" stuff is bland and lacking any punch or passion except for a couple of exceptions like "English Tea" and "Driving Rain". Yes his 90's period stuff was VERY commercial, but Paul was always the commercial, radio friendly songwriter - with The Beatles or without. IMO "Memory Almost Full" is probably one of his worst albums since "McCartney II".

  • @RocktheStageNYC you are right, mccartney was always commercial. however i think his way of playing the instruments and also the atmossphere of chaos and creation was much less bland than his 90s stuff... in my opinion flowers in the dirt is so radio friendly, it's an insult to every beatles fan

  • @ltran90 The Beatles were commercial - in interviews, they talked, even then, how they would sit down to write a song and say things like, "okay, we just wrote a swimming pool!" For the first half of the Beatle's output, they were nothing *but* radio-friendly. For the 2nd half they experimented more, but still chose to write songs that were meant as singles in balance to the experimentation. No harm in writing songs you hope people want to hear.

  • @Psychokinetic2k mistake my friend...i prefer vai, striani, yes, dream theather, etc (sure, cause i play the guitar) but when u are studying music= beatles, miles davis, coltrane, mozart. Commercial? is queen commercial? what about pink floyd? soul out!

  • it reminds me so many things..i love this song, i adore Linda and Paul, and lookin at them makes me feel fine, gives me peace..beautiful song..peace to all of us! love to all of us!

  • Amazing son; thought-provoking video, especially for those of us that appreciate Eastern thought and philosophy.

I bought "Flowers in the Dirt" when it was released... This popped into my mind the other day. Thanks for uploading. Listen to "Figure of Eight" from that LP.

  • ahhhhh paul what happened at 2:31

  • Paul is wearing Macca's 1966 sunglasses.... Painted "Big Eyes" of Beatle---Paul is singing about Beatle Paul's Karma.....Did you see the Giant Pepper underneath the Swan...='s Sgt. Pepper---PID???

  • Fantastic song .Its in my mind all the time

  • great album ,the lyrics are pure harmony, super talent and there is only a group of musicians like him.REMEMBER THIS ONE.peace

  • linda looks like bowie

  • nice....heard this long ago.now i hear it again..

  • Una stupenda filastrocca cantata. Grande Paul!

A beautiful lullaby sung. Great Paul!

  • one of Paul's many overlooked gems.

  • @NoirFan01 And as prolific as he has been, overlooking isn't hard to do. This is great. More NEW music.

Guess what I found today? A 7" 45prm SINGLE SINGLE of "Coming Up: Live at Glasgow" still IN ITS COVER JACKET! What's a SINGLE SINGLE. There is only an "A" side. The other side is a black vinyl mirror. My Dad had saved it (and a few other gems like "I Wanna Hold Your Hand / When I Saw Her Standing There) all these years. Guess it's time to oil-up my turntables & see which one STILL TURNS!

  • the video is simply divine

  • the video is simply divine

  • He has such a cute smile! ♥

  • I really like the song and McCartney, but this video is *&%*ed up !

  • Flowers in the Dirt was his last good album.

  • @arkady714 no, flaming pie and chaos and creation are amazing. Flowers in the dirt is my fav paul mccartney and my fav ex beatle album though. But paul had many good albums after this, off the ground is alright, and so are the others. But flaming pie is great, and chaos is a masterpiece, just as good as this one.

  • @arkady714 chaos and creation is beautiful

  • Amazingly great!

  • amazing! Flowers in the dirt is pauls best album! its awesome!

  • Hare Krishna

  • This song is written for George.

  • The usual hyronic guy. The usual his classic style. The usual great track by him.

  • "..Fade this one to black." Scenes of Paul before the image of a large black heart. And stroboscopic faces in pain and anger. This is more of Faul's Process Church (of Satan) shite. Evil, evil man.

  • @yomammascan nooooo!haha

  • I know the melody, but its origin was unknown for me. Another underrated?

  • Close your eyes and count to Zen

  • not gonna lie... LOVE THIS SONG... but the video is almost definitely giving me nightmares. (1:19)

  • I seriously bought and wear to date...a pair of rose colored glasses! :) This SWAN! smiles....

  • i love the begining with the bass or whatever and vocals. its my favorite part

  • Nice song

  • "Knock knock?"

    "Whose there?"

    "Paul McCartney."

    Haha, always knocks 'em dead.

  • paul Mc Cartney est et restera mon chanteur préféré !!!! Et ce clip trés seventies fait planer !!!!!!

  • What year was this?

  • @hofner96 It's from 1989. The Album was "Flowers In The Dirt." I thought it was as really good one.

  • This is a LOVE song. Women ask Men What they feel. It takes an artist or inspiration to put things into words. This is an answer to the question. So is earth angel.

  • I don't know why... but I always think of this song as being written TO John Lennon. I just can't help it... Either way, it's an amazing song, I love it.

  • HERMOSO TE AMO SIR PAUL LO MAS GRANDE!!!

  • @plotchickens FUCK YOU!

  • @plotchickens Leave Linda alone, she was a beautiful lady and Paul did love her. Don't make fun of people on the internet it makes you look like an idiot.

  • what a great album!!

  • OMG PAUL IS DEAD REFERENCE LOL jk

  • Ugh Paul you are perfect.

  • Paul is playing a Jetglo Rickenbacker near the end of the video

  • dear paul,

few people are known to pull of mullets: Solid Snake(Naked Snake), Kurt Russell, and you before this video.

    love,

    hbkgirl75

  • chorizo de lady gaga lo de los ojos, que chorra como saca de todos lados jajajaj, este tema es una masa paaaaaaaaaaaaul

  • wow I've never heard this song, it's nice

  • Trevor Horn overdid the production on this one, in my opinion. There are lots of pointless instrumental and vocal dubs, and wishy washey little breakdowns. The Return to Pepperland version is a lot more restrained.

  • I love song this song, listened it when I was 9. 22 years later still loving it.

  • good song/bad video.

  • Paul is fushiging!

  • i like the guy with wihite hair on this video eh eh

  • paul is god

  • No you didn't do all that Paul....but I agree with you, the better moment is this one! I can't wait for you to knock on my door and let look in your heart. Love you Paul!

  • Paul!!! you're the best!!! come to Colombia pleaseeee....

  • Paul seems to make fun of how he quit wearing eye liner before.. I dunno Sgt. Pepper?.and yes it did make his eye look big like an Egyptian Pharaoh.

  • God, I'd never thought that I'd hear this song again in my life.

  • The last great McCartney/Beatles tune...!

It's like Hello Goodbye, Nowhere Man... and all his GREATS! (?!)

    thanks 4 posting !

(love the 3D SMR inferences). !!!

  • I feel this was his swan song

  • I hear this song at least 2 times every month i just love it..Pauly good bless you really.

  • Things we want and need to do (indian dream) against the unsatifying things we actually do (false open eyes nightmare). As the song sings.

  • this song is so awesome .... very deep ..n meaningful like most off his other songs ... awesome tune and brilliant video . xD

  • amazing song! it's defineltly Paul's best out of his solo career. the video is...interesting. i've seen sketchier videos then this but this ones quite...odd. but that doesn't stop from lovin my Paulie<3 lol. i wish Linda was still alive. poor mans probably missin the love if his life and i actually think that Linda was Paul's only true love. if you think about it, she was his longest relationship. im sure their marriage woulda continued if Linda had not passed. whatya gonna do? life is random

  • One of the best mccartney's songs

  • a great song, i almost cry when see the images of Linda

  • @Laurajimenez1991 yeah. :( it's sad how Paul's long time love passed away. I feel bad for Paul. He was married to her for 30 some years and im sure he still loves her deeply. he's probably hurting inside still </3 then again im not Paul. but still. just my opinion

  • me encantaría escucharla y verla en vivo

    amo este tema,

    la espero PAUL ♥

  • The blonde dude at the end is Hamish Stewart of Average White Band fading into drummer Chris Whitten of Julian Cope. Not sure where Robbie McIntosh of the Pretenders was for that, but it's my favorite Sir Paul line-up. Saw it four times 89-90. 3 times Rosemont Horizon & at Soldier Field in Chicago!

  • Linda - the most handsome woman ever.

  • @JLiqour Are you serious?

  • great job Paul
