Great picking - and love the Martin's sound ... or the sound you pull out of it. Love the missing pick guard, too. Ha. You know, you have that unusual, "darning needle"-shaped thumb, just like Kottke's. Looks double-jointed or something -- very advantageous for this kind of picking, I'd imagine. I have a short stumpy thumb, but still I love to finger pick. All in all though, I'd trade thumbs with ya. : )
Wow, Young man you have a god giving gift for playing the guitar. And yes, alot of us like learning Kottke guitar tunes because he has truely written some real footstompers!! You played this footstomper tune perfectly with such feeling that I would have sworn it was the master himself!!!! P.S> If you ever come to Ocean City, Maryland ....and sit and play your guitar on the boardwalk ...you could make a fortune in tips!!!!!!
Usually I get irritated when I'm looking for something on the 'Tube and keep finding "tribute" videos and remakes, but this was really solid! Nice work.
WAY awesome!! So impressive. My that does keep your hands busy, doesn't it? That was way, way too cool! Fantastic! I LOVED it...and I think I'll watch it again, and again, and again!!
...that's what I play :]

@saculvad Well if I ever get another 12-string I'll give it a shot just for you my friend
andrewlardner 2 months ago
...awesome.....now, can you do it on 12 string? :]
saculvad 2 months ago
@saculvad I reckon I could but I don't think I'd care to. I think this is one of those pieces Leo never much played on a 12-string.

Are they acrylic nails?
PearTree37067 2 years ago
@PearTree37067 I've used both. The thumb looks really thick there so yeah I probably had an acrylic overlay for this video

Did you take the pickguard off of your Martin?
Tman4000 2 years ago
Fantastic! Must have been a bitch to learn, even with the Stropes TAB! You have Leo's right hand technique mastered. Great job!
