Hi Elliot, thanks for the comment. The bilge pump works just fine, but like most it will never get the last couple inches of water from the sump. That's for a couple reasons. One is that the intake loses suction before all the water can be removed. The other is that the water that is in the outlet hose isn't pushed all the way out of the boat when the float switch opens, so the contents of the hose flows back down into the sump. To be expected ;-)
