  • I'm way past helping you, because this is a year old. But I have the same exact problem sometimes!! I'm going to say it was the temperature. It says make the the air temp and surface temp are both, above 50 degrees and below 90 degrees. Every time it had messed up and cracked, the temperature played a HUGE factor in ruining them. Also, they recommend less than 85% humidity. I'd go alot lower than that. Invest in a thermometer!

  • there are some variables that could make that happen the temperature can drastically effect paint setting making it crack. the second would be the paint there are many different things like quality of the paint but what i use for plastic is a special one that bonds to plastic works well and was one sale ^_^ finally the density of the paint if to much is applied to some points when the paint thins it can end up having to much in one area and it will crack then love the fursuit XD hope i helped

  • Possibly the suface may have been dirty, but deffinately the paint was not dry. You can see vids on cracked paint.

  • @TheThurston13 actually the pint was dry, usually i work with wet paint butthis time it dried on me cause i took so long to finish it

  • I'm no expert at this, but its somethin'

Could it be from the system and/or controller use in the past that could effect the material and paint?

  • Ive used it alot on nerf guns mods as well and occasionally it bubbles there might be some reaction I wish I had more info to help you with it may be that you sprayed areas to heavily that canhave and effect as well with fusion

  • @jaceskunky fudge, well ok thanks for trying i do appreciate it

  • What type of paint are you using?

that can have an effect as well

  • @jaceskunky Krylon fusion, Its meant for this , and ive used it numerous times. this is the first time its happened

  • its possible you needed to let the paint cure for a few days before you clear coated it

also on occasion cans of clear coat will just bubble up i usally let my can of clear coat sit ina abucket of hot water for a while before I spray and it seems to help im not sure if theres a basis for that I just had read about that trick on aminautures forum ages ago and its helped wm with all my spray paints and such

  • @jaceskunky actually what i think it was, is that I let the paint dry too much. Its the first time I let the paint actually dry for a whole day before clear coating. every other time I coated it within an hour and they all came out perfect.

  • @jaceskunky oh, also it wasnt bubbles from the can, the paint under the clear coat cracked up.
