how to update psp to 4.01

oh you probably used the system update. DON'T EVER USE THAT. you'll have to get a pandora battery and custom firmware

i need help. I havent updated my psp in a LONG time. I still have the 3.40 version. I went to the playstation website and downloaded the latest update and did everything the way i was supposed to but when i try to update it it says the game cannnot be played DADADADADADA. Can someone help?

I've tried it but in psp, there are alot of games. Game, Game 150, game 380. I tried putting update in all three. But Still cannot work.
