  • when it jumped i freaked the shit out of myself

  • @MeSezSo Haha! Hey, when it is jumping, it cannot bite :-)

  • I picked one up at the pet store and I didn't know it jumped, I was happy that I hand low on the counter top because he would have been injured. He really surprised me! Pretty little things. I have 7 Ts so far and their all great and not agressive.

  • @PF718 7? Quite a lot! Be glad they don't eat as much as a dog :-) Hey, don't worry about them getting injured when they jump. Here they sometimes jump from a height of 2 or 3 meters without any problem.

  • @DoubleUThings Yup 7 and I enjoy every one of them! I pick up the biggest ones practically every day for about 15 min. I didn't think that they jumped 2 or 3 meters, that's quite high for a small T. Even if they were agile in jumping, the surface in our houses is harder than the different surfaces in their natural suroundings, so I would still not be comforatable for them to jump that high. When I'm ready, I might get one, their fascinating! Thanks

  • u sound dutch :P

anyway thats a Avicularia sp :) there usually not defensive :) looks to be a juvenile :)

  • @Sabeltandeendje Yes, it's a young one and yes, I'm Dutch:-) But I've already seen video's on youtube where people even have an adult Goliath bird spider out of the wild on their hand. So all this "veeery daaaaingerous" talk of Steve Irwin was just commercial fake :-)

  • @DoubleUThings i got the same accent :P dutch aswell :P

and T. blondi's are msotly hair kickers. but i wouldnt try that with a P. murinus (obt) even tho there are some "nice" spiders. mine aint for sure :P

  • wow i have always wanted that type of tarantula for a pet but to see one in the wild that is awersome what country are you in
