how old was the amazon when you brought the grey home? i have a two year old amazon and i want to get him a friend...i would love to have an african grey i was hoping to bring home a very young grey so that they are around the same age? my amazon is a male. any recomendations?
I have recently put my blue fronted amazon in with my african grey. They are both adult birds and have lived in side by side cages for years. They haven't attacked each other yet and do quite a bit of this begging behaviour that your birds are doing. I see that african grey baby and want another baby grey....they are just SO adorable!
They aren't playing or kissing... the are both very young but the African Grey thinks the amazon is trying to regurgitate/feed it... but the owners are so brain dead they cant see the amazon trying to bite the African Grey.
Looks to me like the Amazon was playing with the African Grey and then grooming it. Most young/baby bird will think any type of behavior like that is a "food offering". Maybe you're the brain dead one.

So you are a parrot also? You enjoy repeating? Brain dead again... like i said and you said... "food offering" but the Amazon is agro as Amazons are. Brain dead noob at this age they don't play... they aren't from the same clutch... or are you species blind? Takes years of bonding for grooming and food offering... retard.
You're just calling me a retard because you're jealous of my intelligence. Your stupidity is shown by your complete inability to form a complete, grammatically-correct sentence with clear ideas. I'm entitled to my opinion just as much as you are. I was simply disagreeing with you that the Amazon was biting (when in fact he was playing and at one point grooming the Grey). I agreed that the Grey mistook that for feeding. I used your own crude language against you. Get over it and grow up.
