  • That one angry mini alrighty! You're freaking me out man... Love it.

  • @tralnok Cool, thanks :)

  • Wait one minute now! This is disk 43 from the Mattel Optigan!

  • @markboccaccio Hehe! :) Nah, you must have put the disk in backwards :D

  • WOw, I cant make my minimoog get that mad. Very strange sounds for a mini.

  • @dzlvs8 Use the external audio input and route the sound back in there, that will make it overdrive and distort like this.

  • @dnabiologic That may explain some things, the Mini went missing a couple of nights prior to this recording :)

  • @7thDanSound I smile, Your sound is absolutely great. so your gear !

  • @dnabiologic Thanks :)

  • The last time I played on a Moog was when I as only 19! Haven't played one since! Are Moogs still made, and are they still horribly expensive?

I would love to acquire my own, but I am worried about two things: One: expense, and two: avaliability. Thanks!

  • @electricrailwaygod Moogs are indeed still made, have a look at moogmusic(dotcom)! Expensive or not I'll leave for others to judge :)

  • Did you fracture your left wrist at some point? Your ulnar styloid appears to be rotated dorsally.

  • @ThorHammerdahl I have absolutely no idea what that second sentence means :) But yeah, I did hurt my wrist once snowboarding. Not enough to see a doctor so I guess it wasn't completely fractured.

  • Now I know what an abortion sounds like.

  • Trent Reznor on line 1... :)

  • i have a pro-one and it naturaly makes angry noises!!

  • @MrBerp I used to have one too and I know, those can be fierce :) The MiniMoog you need to force with a big modular to make angry noises!

  • @7thDanSound easiest way is to throw that modulation knob on the mini more towards noise than Osc 3 and modulate with that- it gets fucked up pretty fast.

  • @MrBerp That's for sure!

  • This is the angry noise that comes from a rhino anus on a sunday morning. Eat the sound people, it will be the future....

  • those are sick sounds and your set up is amazing but i can make angrier dinosaur growls on my lil phatty!!!!!!!!

  • @DjSickNasty I heard the Little Phatty could do pretty mean noises but I never spent enough time with one to notice myself. And you know what they say: "Video or it didn't happen!" ;)

  • Monster sound!

  • Really like it ! Some people can't understand, and I understand them lol

But I really love that kind of weird analog noises !! Sounds sweet to me ! lol

  • @JessyDewitz Thank you very much sir!

  • i love electronic music,

    but this is boring,

why do someone need such a big machine,

    for something like that?

  • @Spakkovernichter I guess you have a point :) But please take this for what it is: me goofing around with the modular and the Mini just having a bit of fun.

  • @Spakkovernichter it pretty much gives you more control over what you're doing. look up pics of Deadmau5's studio, for instance.

  • @TheYoa01

    fuck deadmau5, awful shit

  • @kingofcrunk1010 I was talking about his modular setup. think before you act.

  • @TheYoa01

hey now i'm just saying fuck deadmau5

  • @kingofcrunk1010 I know, but you did say "awful shit."

  • @TheYoa01

in reference to dead mau5, not his modular setup

  • @Spakkovernichter Not everyone intends to record their magnum opus every time they sit down in their studio. Sometimes playing around like this is enjoyable, and sometimes people even record themselves playing around and put it on the internet. You don't have to watch or listen if you don't like it. Personally I was glad to hear some non-traditional sounds come out of the Minimoog.

  • Do you have mods on your minimoog ie cv in/outs? cool video

  • @ricel1992 The Minimoog is not modified, just factory standard. It has VCA, VCO, VCF and trig inputs from factory.

  • @7thDanSound is that enough to plug in a number of moogerfoogers/the cp interface to make a modular type system as some people do with the new voyager?

  • @ricel1992 No not really enough to make a modular type system. You do get some flexibility but nothing close to the power of the Voyager I'm afraid.

  • Sounds very raw and pissed! Like some prehistoric bird or something.

But . . .no joke at the end??? Not even a goat? :-(

I am honored to be mentioned though! :-)

  • I don't know, my Moog Bike sounds pretty angry and mean ;)

  • @audibleobsession Haha :) That's awesome!

  • @7thDanSound Thanks! Your video inspired me to do some MIDI automation of my Moog last night to get similar results...I was running a sequence in and recording my parameter changes over a constant loop (so every pass was building up the MIDI automation). After 10 minute of overlapping MIDI automations, it sounded possessed. But, then, the synth actually froze! I couldn't believe it...all that MIDI data coming in at once must have screwed up the digital control part of the LP?

  • @audibleobsession Glad to be an inspiration :) It's not at all impossible the LP froze due to MIDI overload but still, you'd think a modern uCPU could handle most anything you would throw at it. Awesome idea however, I should try that but I only have the Microkorg and Blofeld to try it with.

  • @7thDanSound Very true. Put it up on Soundcloud for you to have a listen...I had better results that were unrecorded, but this gives ya an idea anyways... [SOUNDCLOUD].com/audibleobsession/angry-midi-automated-moog-lp

  • @audibleobsession Awesome sound! Almost digital sounding which is way cool :) Also, your other track was a bit of a surprise and very very good.

  • sounds like your mini is throwing a bit of a fit, i like it!

  • this makes me think my modular is angry all the time...i make these kinds of noises haha.
