It wasn't generally an expensive place so I think a comfortable amount would be £40 per day (excluding accommodation) to cover food, transport and maybe a few drinks here and there.

You should try Bratislava in the warmer months. It is a beautiful city and the summer climate is very comfortable. You made a comment about a woman who claimed to be homeless. I have witnessed several people walking in with a beggar and buying them a meal in a restaurant. It's the best way to assure your money goes toward food and not liquor.

I know it wasn't absinthe, but it tasted like what I imagine drinking petrol would be like lol! My friend put on a brave face for the camera but our throats burned so bad after I switched it off.. Funny times!
@locksleynet maybe Tatranský čaj, Tatratea :) The strongest version has 82% of alcohol...but when I see it, more probably its our national alcohol - borovička :)

I love Bratislava! I lived there for 1 full year for work, and saw every aspect of that city. Many good times there. And the Irish Pub they are talking of is in Old Town, called Dubliners (near the 2nd Old Town square, where btw they have an amazing bagel shop). Its a great place, and I can't wait to go back!!!
@roibert Hey, I'm not too sure what first Irish pub we went to was called.. Sorry.. It was a very well needed first pint though after getting there lol. The apartment was called "Apartments Maly Trh" and cost €135 for the 3 nights I was there :)
