when i was 2 maybe 3, my gran used to take us on shopping trips in her morris 1000. And within a minute or so i would flake out. fond memory's of this little car
I know this is a funny question xD But do the front seats adjust backwards and forwards? Because on every photo I've seen, they are always in the same place.
I have a '67 Traveller. The seats tilt forward to make room to get into the back seat. There's enough leg room for my husband, but when I drive I put a 2x4 under the back legs to bring me closer.
I'll tell you what is sad - I can tell you what an A-series engined car is from the sound of the engine alone! I did a radio feature on the MM once and made sure I got a bit of exhaust background in there! Such a shame cars don't make noises anymore :( The Renault "Whine", Peugeot tappets, and Escorts and Anglias used to - er - fart as well! So many more - life is duller without them.
Ha ha! When I was really little - I'd listen out for our neighbours Rover 3.5 P6 starting up in the morning and run to the front bedroom window to watch it go out - shouting "Bovver Bovver Rover!!!"
Well I was only 2 or 3 - and we only had an Austin Somerset :)
I have noticed that the K series 1.8 has a distinctive sound though whether in a 45 or a Freelander!
I took my box off my minor last week and it rasped that much i thought it was having stomach pains,
so i cut the box off and knocked out the baffel (is that how you spell it) and now it sounds just like a minor supposed to sound but with a raspy edge, i'll have to record it!

Just a quick question: Is there a radio fitted as standard on your Minor?
