Hi there. I'm considering a move to Tokyo next month with a dispatch company who say they'll find a leo palace for me. Yours looks very big though, much bigger than the other ones I have seen! Do you mind me asking what district it is in and around how much you pay?? All the other leo palaces I have seen look like shoeboxes, with the bed on top of the cupboard!
@joostay first off, we are out in Yamanashi, which is much more country than Tokyo, so most apartments in general are a bit bigger. Also, what you most likely have been looking at are the 1LDK, which from what I have seen, are incredibly smaller than our place, but are surprisingly spacious due to the great use of storage spaces. The apartment in this video on the other hand is a 2LDK, so we have more rooms, larger rooms. and an actual kitchen (1LDK usually have just 1 tiny counter)
@joostay Also, we pay 60,000Y for this particular location, but I know at least some of my friends in Tokyo pay the same amount as us for the tiny places. It's just a benefit to living out in the farm land.
I sent all my documents to them @Uzneko so Im hoping if all goes well. How did you guys fare this year with the August break? Did they allow you to work for another school or something during the summer? I don't really understand their breakdown for the summer where you get paid at the end of august and september.
How did you get set up with LeoPalace? And how far away is the apartment from your school. I recently accepted a Borderlink ALT job. They pay is low so I was wondering about costs and stuff.
@ShadowKage BL set me up with the apartment, pretty much all ALTs are in LeoPalace apartment complexs. and it is a little far from my school (25min bike ride, 15min car ride) but we chose it cause I live with my bf and his schools are all about a 10min walk from our front door.
@ShadowKage it has it's ups and downs, just like any company, but overall it has been quite nice. Mostly how you like it here will depend on the school(s) you get though, because obviously you will be happier if you are in a work environment that you enjoy, and no one can really tell how you and a school will get along until you're there.
