  • Sexy sexy bizzare sweet genius Bjork

  • having einar in the sugarcubes is like taking a huge dump on a cake

  • @BlowBackBenny - yeah. it definetly adds a new texture and flavour to the music that is very appreciated :)

  • i forgot how adorable she was

  • 1:47 she is trying to out scream that guy in black!

  • .: )you get used to Einar....very important person in the cubes!

  • Hljóðlausri ALL! Björk er BEST! Fjandinn það! Kveðjur

  • GREAT!!!! TAKK

  • To me Einar messes up the song. And every other song he's in

  • @soadfan33 The juxtaposition of their styles really works for me. I think Einar's contribution adds light to her darker performance. She is brilliant, of course, but without Einar I'm less interested in her music.

  • @tearecords it's true he adds to her performance, but like dolescum79 said he's much better in the studio than live

  • @soadfan33 i like deus

  • I totally understand the art angle, but man, I admit that I do sincerely wish I could go back and at least make an Einar-less copy of the first two albums. There are some songs where he works, but this is not really one of them.

  • what a performance! love her little dance from 1.20

  • everything about this song is perfect and write where it should be. stfu. .

  • soooooooooo rad

  • jо да да да да !!! from russia

  • They were a fantastic band. Too bad their second album was just okay. I thought they had talent to go far. This is one of my favorite songs of theirs. Bummer I missed their shows in LA when they were in town.

  • Wheeeee!

  • Bloody hell... i was at this gig!!!

Seems like another age now :-(

  • Listen from 1:28 to 1:55 this is why Bjork is so awesome.

Listen to her perfect pitch and look how much fun she has doing it. This is talent my friends.

  • Einar is better in the studio and he knows it. I also thought he was trying to get the attention, rightly deserved, but he cannot compete

  • great performance, they really were pretty tight live

  • My goodness, thank you for this! That poor dude COULD NOT wrench the spotlight away from Bjork, as he was clearly trying to do so.

  • I rather like Einar's performance. Have a listen to some of the Sugarcubes recordings and you'll hear how well their styles work together. It's a matter of taste, of course, but he really wasn't trying to wrench the spotlight away from Bjork - the were a band.

  • wow that's a really good recording

wish i could have been alive and there :)

  • nice! Thanks for sharing this, The Sugarcubes were great!

  • Einar + Björk = GENIUS

  • cool stuff....thanx

  • i agree with stevie, would be nice if someone turned his mike off. Must've pissed bjork off after a while.

  • thats how the song goes moron

  • That dude need to shut up. I don't understand why he says anything into the mike when Bjork is singing. Too much coke or anphetemines?

  • Einar's performance was an essential part of The Sugarcubes music and as I remember none of them were into drugs. It's called art and was absolutly brilliant. You should have been there.

  • They never did drugs? that surprises me.

    ...thats cool actually.

  • Are you kiding ? XD

    Who told you that ?

No offense but almost no artists what so ever dont do drugs(even when saying so), basicly becaus you need to do it to be able to keep up.

And second .... have you seen their face in performance and in some interviews ...

NOT likely at all that they were ever free from alcohol or drugs on stage

  • some else said that. I was responding to them.

Not all artist use drugs btw.

  • ah sry bout that reply ... didnt see it, even though i looked for it :/

And i know not ALL, but most of those that say no or have fans that say they dont is just either wishful thinking from their part(the fans) and the artists them selfs might wanna hide it becaus of some,at the time of the statement, resent bad news about drugs.

But i'm pretty certain that atleast bjork used drugs, (just becaus i've seen more from her then all of the others .. but i'm guessing they are using too)

  • Well, they were big drinkers (It's a thing in Iceland), if you can count that as a drug (which technically it is).

  • @madsketcher I guess a lot of writers drank, but music wise, i dont know if its usually a gateway to creativity! I think the most interesting people are just chemically different

  • @madsketcher you're absolutely right. but our kind can easily be attracted to drugs! Drugs are a tool for creativity, but they're a tool. Doesn't help much if you're not a creative person.

  • @tearecords bjork's has never do drugs??

  • @piguitit0 I have no idea!

  • @piguitit0 Drugs arent that common in iceland really.

  • @Rosky12 so where does all that inspiration comes from??

  • @piguitit0 Some of us are just giften in certain ways. Bjork is just...on a whole different mental field.

  • awesome.....thanks for posting.

can see why Bjork got so famous..she is so talented.

  • Wow, about 20 years old...and yet the audio/video reception is pretty good. :)

  • I filmed it on a Sony Video 8 camcorder which I think was the first good small format camera available. I've also cleaned the picture up a little and the audio which is more distorted than this on the tapes.

  • :( Why can't I embed this?? i want it on ma space!!! xxxxxxxxx

  • did you happen to get the rest of this gig on video?i have it on cd but not video

  • You have an audio recording of this gig? What's the sound quality like? I have about half an hour of the gig on video, some of it from 2 cameras.

  • lucky you seeing the 'cubes! and they are amazing live!
