Thanks for the documentation. Very informational for the younger people who know nothing of "REAL" fear, anger, sadness or loss.

These women were among the bravest of the brave!

My salute to these very brave pilots who helped bring Germany and hitler to their knees.

I don't know where you get your avation information from but these ladies flews operational flights (i.e towing targets for practice, transfering cargo, etc.) They weren't even trained to use the gunnery on their planes.

I'm so please to see this honor given. My father was one of their flight instructors during the war and I have lots of photos of that time. A very long overdue honor.

@ORVX Just because we are acknowledging these women does not mean we are disrespecting the men. Go check out the WWII memorial and you will see what I mean. They all did their part in a true war for freedom. It's not like they were even allowed to pick up a gun and battle across Europe. They did what they could without recieving any of the military benefits the males got and with no guarantee of personal safety.
