  • I've noticed a sort of growling like noise when in close combat. It kinda sounds like heavy wind, but I can't tell. Are the rabbits GROWLING at eachother?

    Also, I notice a squeak sound when a rabbit get's killed.

  • 1:54 I love the way he just disarms you and your running around like " O shit, O SHIT" then you finaly get to the weapon but he just stabs you xD

  • @Seyhk I agree completely. I get so angry when people say that on these vids, do they even know how long it took to make skyrim? And you're right you can't compare these two games.

  • @SuperStandridge It's the fact these guys are a 4-5 strong staff, Beteshda is 100-200, and these guys, or actually one guy did most of the project by himself, and pulls off a better engine and a more optimized game then what Skyrim is. Don't get me wrong, i love Skyrim, but i've seen way better physics in games, this game even tops Skyrim.

    If the Beteshda staff put 150% more effort into their games, their already beyond epic games would be something you can't even describe with words.

  • I like the way enemies don't attack right away when you are sneaking, more games should be like that so you don't get a mouthfull of lead if you make a loud noise while sneaking around in FPSes

  • If its possible maybe when the character or a guard tries to block with a spear against a blade the spear could break as if the blade has gone through it.

  • Is there any way you can make the downloads go faster? I know it's already compressed but other games that are of equal or even more file size seem to go faster than this, therefore I am stuck playing a129. Just wondering if there was anything you could do.

  • @TheLetterY13 Although you're post is from a week ago, I figured I'd offer a solution.

    There's a .rar file packaged along with each alpha with just the changes to the current week from the last.

    1. Download the latest version of the alpha (I know it takes a long time, but bear with me)

    2. For future updates, use the .rar file I mentioned above.

    3. Hopefully you can get it to work for you.

    There should be a tutorial somewhere in the Secret Preorder Forum, in case you have any questions.

  • I have recently pre-ordered this game and was eager to play it. Unfortunately this message displays when I open the file 'No graphics card detected that supports shaders; please wait for us to implement a shader fallback path'. PLEASE fix this problem. I, and some others, would greatly appreciate it.

  • When an enemy spots you, takes fighting stance and does nothing it looks very strange. It would be more natural to first look back in non-fighting, but focused state, then step away from player (if he's close) while turning whole front part of body to the player and preparing to fight.

  • I personally think you should strive to keep the difficulty of the game up, adds more realism and we have far to few challenging games out there right now :) It's also sorta something I find enjoyable when playing, having to pick your fights carefully, and knowing how to defeat each enemy, counters etc.

  • this game looks absolutely awesome! Please say that you are intending on making this a mmo. The minimalistic look to the videos is great too, helps with game immersion. If you are going to do a UI you should make it small so you do not take away from that desolate feel.

    I would love to be able to make a squirrel character in this world and level him up!

  • @boi181818 This game will be a Fighting Game (with online things yes) without Rpg Adds like leveling maybe you could say this something like tekken and CoD in one game but that would be totally wrong because of the style of the game.

  • @chadoftoons I understand what the game is at the moment and understand where they are going with it, I am just saying that if I was able to start a character and grow him somehow would keep this game going for a long time. I think it's something they should think about because it would make the game better, imo, and far more profitable.

  • You have probably already considered this, but I would be more believable if enemies didn't just walk away as soon as you fell to the ground dead. like if they stood over the player or poked the body with a spear or something. Just a thought.

  • The only way my day could be made any better is if there were news of a dedicated multiplayer. Seriously, this combat looks amazing. I can only dream of sequences that could be done with players going against each other. :)

  • @RoCkZ0074 yes, but it will take a long ass time to come into effect since the creator is working more on the engine at the moment rather than the game itself.

    it could bring down the games rating.ex. from mature to teen.

    i am not a game developer so i don't know if that would be a good idea

  • @oliball123 Obviously - But its only a Testing Model right now. All options are in the .ini. In the Final Release, or a Later Alpha (Possibly Beta), they will more than likely add an Options Menu, naturally.

    If its the second one, then there isn't really a set out game, its really just a sandbox that you mess around in at the moment.

  • I love the foot placement. It annoys me so much when video game characters' feet slide on the ground while they're running. Keep up the awesome work.

  • A cool stealth game mechanic would be incorporating the animal's ears. If a player makes a bit to much noise but hasn't startled an enemy, you could have the NPC move his ears back. This would tell the player they need to be more quiet. You could also tell which NPCs are easier to sneak by. A bunny with relaxed drooping ears will not hear you until you are very close, but a bunny with upright ears will hear you from further away. Just an idea I had, not a demand. Keep up the good work guys!

    To add upon the NPC-idea, idea, the animals could also turn their ears based on where they hear things from and maybe sometimes stay still randomly to focus on hearing, which would slightly improve their ability to detect non-environmental noises...

    Generally, guards of different races could be programmed to behave in a way that relies more on the senses they're good at :) - both truly and cosmetically.

  • Sweet! The lack of a blood splatter with the blade attacks works, I think. I mean maybe something small could be added, but it seems more like a blade cutting through something, while with the splatter it would seem like a blunt object I think.

  • @bangladeshi2 they are just kinda knocked out in a way, like in gta4 when you beat someone up they wont get up but will still move. but if they are shot in the head or fall from really high or something they will die.

  • You should make cats just as responsive to sound as rabbits are, but wolves shouldn't be like that. Instead, if you're in some specific range of the wolf for a specific amount of time, they'll pick up your scent.
