I have a 4 minute version of this remix, phenominal keyboards; sounds like typical Mozart, with that fat bass, out of body type trance.

Daniel, or anyone.. could you recommend a particular vintage cd or trancemaster cd with this caliber of music? Something powerful, perhaps?

I don't know about any Trancemaster compilation that would have only such quality music on it, but maybe you can try something else... I'd recommend you Tiesto's "In Search of Sunrise 6: Ibiza". ...a fantastic 2CD mix with music of similar quality (maybe the style is a bit different). Maybe not a "meatgrinder" (I mean not too powerful), but its still very good.

It seems, that since this is a 2008 rework, others miss it too (including me and VDM and many others:) Trance is a fluctuating genre - I think there will be times, when it'll return or get closer again to the roots...

...about your remix: it is great! For an "amateur" attempt at least. I wrote a comment to it too. Now I just have 1 question: what kind of hw-sw equipment do you use (e.g. synths, Abletion, Fruity Loops, etc), and for what reason (just a hobby, or you are (trying to be) a professional DJ-producer)? :)

Oh, yeah, that was a 2 disc vinyl I mentioned before, and there is a 2 CD version too (of the album called "Moor"). Google the following:

...and yes, there is a track on CD2 called Sunflower (with the length of 06:55). So, I think it is the "Original Mix" of the tune. Do you agree?

What album do you mean, swanz? :) ...I've looked up Vincent's discography on discogs (search for the following keywords on Google: vincent moor discogs), but didn't find any "album version". There is the "Original Mix", then there is "VDM's 2008 Rework", and "Michael De Kooker's Classical Mix" (of which I know). ...maybe you mean the "Original Mix"?

It's a nice little touch up of the original. Not too different though, but I always felt that this was one of his most underrated songs. Vincent de Moor deserved so much more recognition than he got in his time.

Cactus, thanks 4 the comment! I think U're right, but (in my opinion) not completely. VDM is a Classic. The greatest DJ's play his songs even now (Fly Away, Flowtation, etc). I mean Tiesto, Armin, and all the other great names. So he is well recognized. But this song, yeah, it may be a bit underrated... Nonetheless I discovered it on Tiesto's Club Life 043. That speaks 4 itself, doesn't it? :) Still, it is not as popular, as it should be. It seems that True Value is not always "successful"... :(

dave pearce trance anthems 08 disc 3 is full of tracks like this, i suggest anyone that likes this song should buy the album, it really is a truly fantastic journey.......

Wow, thanks for the comment, it is really expressive! :) About that CD you recommend - I've heard it, and this tune (Sunflower Rework) is also on it, but in my opinion there are no more similar tunes on that CD, neither anywhere... This is a truly unique music. Ok, there are good, even great trance trax (classics, such as "Endless Wave" really by Tiesto) on that CD you mention, but they are different, they sound different! Which one(s) you think is similar to this? :)

for me they are not simular but all have a unique uplifting experience, some happy, some sad, they all raise the hairs on the back of my neck!

Oh, yeah, that is a GREAT tune! I don't like vocal trance too much, but that 1 is really good! :) ...brings back memories (watch?v=v1BhwGP-aAs&fmt=18)..­. The vocal part reminds me the vocal part of "Smack my bitch up" from Prodigy (that vid is 1 of my favs, but it is censored here;)))... Some indian accent/flavor... I think I can understand you... As I wrote before: beauty and sorrow mix in this tune. Thinking of a girl, I don't really know, or just can't exactly express, what it should/can mean. Maybe if you Love someone, and must leave her, or lose her? Somekind of a departure? ...or maybe something like that thing about Melpomene (the Greek goddes of Tragedy) that pinned me down in front of Her statue for hours in the Hermitage, St. Petersburg, when I was just 20? ;) ...long story.

Thanks! I'm glad you like it. It is a very special tune, I think. VDM has some pearls, but this one stands out (for me) somehow. It is so ambivalent (sad and happy; imprisoned and free - all at the same time). ...and the sounds express everything.
