  • Micah Materre...my goodness.

  • Why didn't channel 2's logo have the CBS logo with it?

  • They even had Scott Chaplin on the V/O before TV2 became a Fox station.

    I'm surprised.

  • December 11, 1994 was when it occured. WJBK got back the NFL and at least road games of the Lions and was also able to move their 11 PM news to 10 PM. The final CBS show on WJBK was the "Payback" episode of "Walker, Texas Ranger" the night before. WJBK was dropped from Cancom and most Canadian cable TV systems (it still was available in Windsor and SW Ontario) and replaced with WTOL in Toledo, 60 miles south on I-75. Also at the same time, Cancom chose WUHF in Rochester, NY to represent Fox.

  • Wow. TV2 had a hard-on for Rush even before they were a FOX affiliate.

  • Micah Materre is still on, in Chicago at WGN.

  • The station had never looked better at this point, and they were stocked up with talent -- I think they even had Jerry Hodak co-anchoring their 5pm with Rich Fisher by this point.

  • @brithgob When TV2 was CBS they had name brand Detroit talent on and once it was FOX2 those name brands slowly left. 4pm Sherry Margolis/ Catherine Lehan, 5pm Rich Fisher/Jerry Hodak, but Hodak ending up leaving going back to 7 and Bill Bonds was doing the news with Rich Fisher...6pm was solo act with Huel Perkins anand 11pm then 10pm was Rich and Huel and Bill Bonds ended up with Bonds tonight his own talk show.

  • From Sunday, May 29, 1994.
