Unfortunately Japanese people tend to be very susceptible to foreign religions. They're easily duped by these type of people. It's a flaw in their character to be too nice and trusting. It also the reason why Multi Level Marketing (pyramid schemes) work so well in Japan. Such a nice people for the most part, it's sad to see a video like this. @LuckyDeviI You know nothing much of Japan. The Japanese are not specifically nice people, they are nice or unkind depending on the person. And the only foreign religion that really took hold was Buddhism. There are very, very few Christians and Muslims in Japan.

Also Europe adopted a forum religion too. Christianity. And not only that, but they completely abandoned their old faiths for the new, not allowing any parallel of Shinto to remain in Europe.

Japan is not peaceful because of Shinto, it is peaceful because it was forced to be after the war (hence you have conservatives advocating for greater military spending in Japan and nuclear weapons). Shinto in the war years was also far from peaceful, as State Shinto was an ideology directly tied to the Imperial throne and war effort. Shinto by itself is not violent, however.

@Mikeybetts i am a sri lankan convert to islam, who was born and lives in the UK. japan's main religions are shintoism and buddhism. in some aspects of their culture they worship "created" objects which was made by the "creator", Allah (swt), and this is clearly wrong, as one should only worship the creator, who gave you life and its blessings, and will take you back for judgement. i hope one day to go and preach Islam to the lovely people in japan.

If christians and hindus tried that in Islamic countries then the muslims would not like it at all.
