  • love it

  • Aside from the football and general Cloughisms, check out his suit. It's fucking huge!

  • Absolute legend and he never managed the club I support.

  • i miss the bloke . rip u absolute legend!

  • At 8 minutes 10 seconds something weird happens.

  • A true legend of English football Brian Clough was indeed the greatest manager England never had -3 R.I.P.

  • Common as muck

  • Alcohol took a toll on him. He looks really bad in this clip.

  • RIP Brian.

  • Winning league titles and European Cups with Derby County and Notts Forrest is like winning Premierships and Champions Leagues with Leicester City and Watford. Only one word for Brian: LEGEND.

  • @JoeStunner Can't say I've heard of that Notts Forrest you've mentioned there, but yes what he did at Nottingham Forest was MAGICAL!

  • @JoeStunner Not really, Notts forrest and derby were like the Man city and chelsea of the time

  • you mean city and utd chelsea are shit mate

  • LEGEND PLAIN AND SIMPLE LEGEND

  • @BanksyII To win a European Cup in the 50's, 60's, 70's and 80's was harder, because teams played each other home and away with goals scored away from home counting double if the scores were even, so really a team only got one chance. Lose and they were out!

  • lmfao what an interview

  • Luckiest Manager Ever To Have Lived... People Remember The Title's, They Forget The Fantastic(!) 44 Days He Had As Leeds Manager... Luckiest Man In Football :L

  • @JayEmCee2011 Yep, taking two separate teams from midtable in Division 2 to the Title, and winning the European Cup TWICE is definitely luck :L You clearly know fuck all about football, you probably just watched the Damned United and mouth off pretending you actually understand football!

  • @BanksyII i wasnt alive either but i bin told we beat the best teams to get there

  • im sure paisley was a nice guy who never said a bad word to anyone,..bit like my next door neighbour, but hes not a great football manager either as it happens .in2u2b cuntface.

  • best manager ever in english football.....end of chat

  • LEGEND R.I.P.

  • This man will never ever be replicated...there will only be one

  • The Greatest Of Them All May He Rest In Peace

  • classic interview.Brian clough R.I.P sadly missed, the world is worse off without cloughie

  • bob paisley was a good man,but most of his success was a legacy from shanks.as for being better than cloughie..ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

  • @MrBarmybob NO ONE WAS GRATER THAN CLOUGH THE GREATEST OF THEM ALL FROM A BURNLEY FAN

  • @MrBarmybob twat. paisley built 3 teams you idiot. clough was good but a different kind of manager. he was all mouth, courted media attention and talked bollox. paisley was a true gent, never said a bad word against anyone

  • The word Genius is over used today, but does apply to Clough. He would have been a success in any walk of life had he chosen. Given the right education, contacts and connections could have risen to cabinet minister or prime minister had he chosen something like politics as a career as opposed to football. At his peak he was more intelligent than most politicians.

  • hey peeps plz plz plz go to 8:10 and keep playing it back, absolute jokes they should use this as a dont drink alcohol advert! 8:10 8:10 go listen now lol

  • @73Riddim it sounds like a muslim prayer

  • Looks pi**ed.

  • Brian Clough NOTTINGHAM FOREST LEGEND

  • @MultiSamson1 are you sure?

  • when the Brian Clough and peter taylor partnership broke up,they never had real success again, brian clough would never have won with out peter taylor...alex ferguson is the greatest ever as he has not stoped wining...

  • @MultiSamson1 bob paisley is the greatest ever

  • £2 a week, thats what footballers now should be paid!

  • 20th September 2004 - The World lost the Greatest Football Manager Ever.

    R.I.P Brian Clough OBE

  • that song early on is great, what is it?

  • I'm a Leeds Fan, and I still like this guy, fucking legend.

  • lol.. Fucking love this guy.

  • Clough was the greatest manager in the game...RIP

  • @hottyfromnotty Better than Busby, Shankly, Paisley, Stein or Ramsey?

  • @AshtonArcher revie everytime, i footballing visionary

  • @hottyfromnotty Yeh he proved it at Leeds mate when he had the league champions at his possession.

  • @ashlovesleeds

You're right...he was arrogant at Leeds and thought he could treat internationals like school kids, then he wondered why they wouldn't play for him... he came off well financially though.

    MOT 4EVA

  • Boro's finest

  • Brian................I love you mate!!!

  • @jamwithmates123 make it 10!

  • RIP Cloughie footballs best legend

  • anyone see the kid fall over at 2.59 over cloughies right arm :)

  • Listen to his point about Chairmen in Football from about 6mins-He was right about these b45tards destroying the game.Just look at Chelsea & Newcastle. Both owners have too much say in how the club's are run.He also said the Premier League would be a bad thing & now we have a league where 2-3 clubs have ALL the wealth, massive squads & the other 17 make up the numbers.Happened in Scotland years ago & how bad are their clubs in Europe?

  • He won European Cups back to back & did it with a team that started in Div II.Alex Ferguson was lucky to keep his job & the player who saved him(ironically against Cloughie's side)was flogged to Norwich City-Charming.

Cloughie didn't kick football boots into the face of his star players either.Nor did he whinge about time added on being played, which is how Fergie's won half his poxy titles. They even had to rename the bloody title cos he'd never have won it as Division One

  • @Phippstickman Grow up

  • @Phippstickman You're a disgrace.

  • @Phippstickman Half his poxy titles?? bit of an exageration!!

  • @Phippstickman he did he dropped roy keane

  • Legend

  • pissed bastard

  • Great manager but you wouldn't see sir alex or sir matt acting like this, its sad to see really.

  • Legend in the world. Sir Brian

  • "Rolegated" haha legend <3

  • Best ever manager in Britain, and this is coming out of an Aston Villa fan. :-)

  • nffc till i die R.I.P cloughiee true red at heart

  • There will never ba another like him ! smashing fella RIP Cloughie!

  • who think Jose Mourinho has a bit of Brian Clough in him?

  • @shadz876 no mourinho style of football is a disgrace

  • @ps2peter disagreed you've only formulated this opinion since his stint at madrid and the only reason it's being highlighted in such a manner is because of the Clasicos apart from Arsenal and Man Utd most teams go out to play Barca in the same manner the athleticism pace and strength of the madrid players are above the average team so they are able to actually execute it while other teams spend more time chasing

  • @shadz876 no not at all....as chelsea manger he had bit 14 stone guys like drogba flopping on the floor at the slitecet touch... his sting at inter the game aginst barca was one of the biggist disgraces iv ever seen all 11 men in the box for 80% of the game that is not football who would want to watch that shit ?

  • @ps2peter Drogba's reaction to a touch cannot be directly blamed on Mourinho, that's like blaming Ronaldo's diving on SAF. The Barcelona v Inter game 1st of all you seem to have forgotten that Motta was sent off because of Busquets dive so they played with 10 men against the best possession team in the world what other option did they have? There you go.

  • @shadz876 Yep, the retarded bit.

  • i could listen to him all day.not just one of the greatest managers ever, one of the greatest personalties ever. by the way, who good was michael sheens voice for the damned United

  • AHAHAHAHA! What a personality. RIP Cloughie

  • Lol - great

  • top man!

  • this is what football lacks these days, we need another brian clough back in the game

  • I remember watching this interview live on Gillette Soccer Saturday. Great manager he was.

  • Gills top of the Championship, how I miss those days :'(

  • @nathfrancis01 I'm so sorry. I still think THEY'RE shit!

  • I can see a lot of people arguong with some guy about Swansea here. As a fan I'll try to talk on behalf of them, but with sopme sence. QPR clearly played the better football. Hence walking the league. But I suppose Swansea were the Arsenal of the Championship. We played attractive football. As do Arsenal. but the one key thing that was missing was the final product, without that, as it is for Arsenal - we're not going to win any leagues. I'm just overwealmed that we're in The Premiership.

  • @welshmando You said that you were going to talk with some sense then wrote a comment devoid of sense. QPR did not "walk" the league they finished four points ahead of Norwich not exactly a gulf. Swansea did not lack a final product, Swansea scored a very respectable 69 goals and in any case Swansea were joint top with QPR with regards wins (24) so getting goals to win games was not a problem. Also Swansea failed to score in only 10 out of 46 games.

  • @welshmando Arsenal do not lack a final product either, only Man Utd scored more premiership goals than Arsenal last season. Blackpool scored plenty of goals but got relegated, it is better to win a game 1-0 than lose it 4-3 so the fact that Swansea were joint top in games won is far more encouraging than if they were top in the goalscoring stakes.

  • @nathfrancis01 Fair point. But Arsenal not having enough goals means thatthey have had fuck all in years. Who cares Swansea are in the Prem. And I genuinely believe they're there to stay :D

  • @nathfrancis01 Fair point. But Arsenal not having enough goals means thatthey have had fuck all in years. Who cares Swansea are in the Prem. And I genuinely believe they're there to stay :D Also goals isn't quite what I meant in final product. That extra edge is what I mean by final product.

  • @mattjonz222 I agree QPR are good. Swansea are ok but QPR are better because they won the league. Anyway I'm in a academy so fuck you. And you obviously don't know anything about football and your the asshole

  • @mattjonz222 qpr played loads better than fucking Swansea. Your a cunt for not realising that. And it is pretty much because they're welsh. Anyway I bet swansea come down next year! I bet I could beat you in to a team anyway because im sure what you think of football will make you shit... You stupid cunt

  • @circabro3 Qpr are good but swansea have players just as good and i am pretty sure you are shit at football and i know for a fact that i am a better player than you. Swansea are a welsh club but don't have many welsh players so again it shows you know fuck all about football. Shut the fuck up and don't bother replying back because your football knowledge is minimal you asshole.

  • @mattjonz222 You are not in an academy because on your profile you are 22 and players are released by the time they get to about 20 if they are not good enough you fucking nonse. if you actually watched championship football last year you would know that swansea played the best football consistently all year and even all the pundits say this as well so once again you are making a twat of yourself. Even QPR boss neil warnock said swansea played the best football so fuck off you cunt.

  • @circabro3 Norwich finished higher than Swansea last season yet the bookmakers have given Swansea odds of 2500/1 to win the premiership and Norwich odds of 3500/1, by your logic the best odds makers in . Swansea have earned pladits from some very reputable people for the way they have played. It is you who holds an opinion which is contrary to the view of the vast majority of footballing experts and yet you have the cheek to call people "clowns" for having the same opinion as football's elite.

  • @nathfrancis01 In the 2nd leg of the semi fianl Warnock was a pundit on Sky Sports for the game. And he said that Swansea played the best football in the league - so I should completely retract my comment. You were right I was wrong. I'm a stubbourn fucker and don't usually admit to being wrong. Well done.

  • @mattjonz222 Swansea are shit! I'm sure a lot of people will agree with me. And QPR played best in the championship as they were first and Swansea were not. So fuck you you stupid bastard

  • @circabro3 Just cos qpr finished top does not mean they played the best football you fucking clown. Swansea dominated nearly all the games in the championship and it is ignorant cunts like you that think they are shit just because they are welsh. So get off your high horse you fucking prick, how can swansea be shit when they are now going to play in the best league in the world you fucking idiot. i would like to see you try and play football, you wouldn't pass a trial for a disabled team.

  • @MrOMGees Swansea have come up but their still shit

  • @circabro3 How can swansea be shit when they played the best football in the championship and got promoted to the premier league you retard. Your fucking shit not swansea

  • @circabro3 "Swansea have come up but their still shit". It should be "they're" not "their" and you never used a full stop. In an eight word sentence you made grammatical and punctuation errors probably because you are rather slow. Swansea are the success story of the championship, they played the best football stylistically, had the best home defence in ANY English league and also had the record for most completed passes in a game out of any of the 92 teams in the English leagues.

  • Lol, Leeds in the premiership :D:D:D

  • "Not that funny when you're retarded" ... hahaha fucking legend

  • Clough speaks more sense about football when half cut than the likes of Garth Crooks and the rest of the UTV and BBC Match of The Day gimps speak their whole lives when sober!

  • anyone else notice Swansea 18th in the old division 3? look at them now

  • "Retarded"

    HAHA Cloughy is a legend,RIP

  • Sir

  • Great telly, RIP Brian Clough!

  • 3 letters describe Brian ... G O D.

  • best football manager in the world he was

  • "its not that bloody funny when your retarded" hahahaha

also the league tables! fuck me how things have changed

  • This is the only manager to win back to back european cups fairly without all the spanish and italian bullsh* of diving to get players sent off etc.

Similar to Donald f*n Revie condoning his Leeds team who actually deliberately knobbled Cloughies Derby County before their semi final way before then.

Revie was a f*kn cheat and cloughie outed him.

He was also the worse england manager they have ever had (even worse than mac the marrow which is some going)

  • @ILiveOnMyBoat

you forgot about bob paisley?won the european cup b2b and then another one...won the league 7 times and didnt religate liverpool like clough did either...i love brian clough even tho im an lpool fan but im afraid your wrong

  • @ILiveOnMyBoat Paisley won it back to back too.

  • Wow. He's a little plastered.

  • remarkable isn't it. Football fans agree 100% he was a legend, except for Leeds fans

    Arrogant to the core

  • @yoyichinichio

It's b'coz ppl from Leeds tend to be utter cunts....

  • Haha made me laugh real football legend RIP

  • Jesus, seven years ago leeds were 5th in the premiership!

  • @number1fairfield That is after 1 game. They were relegated the next year.

  • I was 20 before i realised i was retarded

Absolute Genius makes me proud to be from the North East. So glad he played for Sunderland

    Clough is God.

  • shame how he went after retiring bless him. did well for every team he went to (apart from leeds). shame he chose derby and forest to manage and not the mighty leicester :P. we had his apprentice o'neill do the job for us.

  • Brian Clough 132- 7 Don Revie

  • whatever people say, this man won TWO, yes TWO European cups for christ's sakes

-any average player he made into great player BUT IN A TEAM

-great manager, great football psychologist, who could get the best out of players

  • DON REVIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @lundo12345

    Takes one to know one.

  • 2 words? Great man....

  • how he would fit in the game today, would be fascinating

  • Legend

  • as a scotsman....loved this legend...loved his style.......football a big loss without him.....true legend

  • @garynolang too.. true and you scots produce the best managers for some reason!

  • 1 name Don Revie !

  • @lufcstephen94

How many European Final victories do Leeds have?

Five words. Peter Ridsdale, David O'Leary.

  • @TheEnglishViking1 Four words mate. Peter. Ridsdale. David and O'Leary.

O' isnt a word. Nice fuckup there

  • @LaForza100

    Neither is 'isnt'.

You're obviously a bit confused with apostrophe thing, but then again, you are a Leeds fan.

  • @TheEnglishViking1

    Revie 4-1 Clough

  • Great man. Great manger. Sounds drunk here. haha. RIP Cloughie !!

  • @damoos

Sounds drunk because he was. Shame really, but still a dude.

  • The best manager England never had. I wish he was stiil here and managing at the top. Legend !!

  • 2 people prefer Don 'Fucking' Revie

  • @jamwithmates123 Let's see Don FUCKING Revie do THIS!

  • @jamwithmates123 obviously just watch the damned united and made a snap judgment on a legend ... look at what don revie was really like and say that please

  • @jamwithmates123 Because he was better.

  • Video from Saturday 24th August 2002.

  • Cloughie did'nt walk on water he just parted it out of his way like Moses. What a character. What an amazing record and never spent silly money for success. A terrific sense of humour he was never given enough credit for. Thanks for the memories Brian,
