Interesting that Giles frames this - and blogs - as only useful for things like "diaries" or to communicate generally worthless information; a very old media response which I suspect they'd like most people to believe (especially those still beholden to gatekeeper media channels).
Do I post answers to "What are you doing"? Generally, no. I share information. As do most of those with whom I'm connected. Kinda like what news media does in those distracting tickers they now run during the news.
