when I tried watching it in HD it froze and stopped playing, then again it is most likely the crappy computer i'm using thats causing this rather annoying problem
You may just have to wait a while for the file to load; Youtube's HD encodes can be fairly large and slow to download sometimes. I've run into that problem myself on occasion, and it's usually just a matter of waiting for the red progress bar in the timeline to fill up a little more.
Sounds fine when I play it, I don't know what might be happening on your end. I have the Audiosurf sound effect volume set to its default, and I didn't alter the audio levels between recording this run and uploading the video.
It's a quiet song, so if you turn the volume up to listen to the music you'll also make the sound effects louder, but beyond that I don't know what the problem could be, sorry.
Ahh, I see. The default volume settings, imo, are too unbalanced to the sound effects. I like to hear the music and only a touch of the whoosh noises, I have it so low I don't even hear the SE of combo scores.
I guess that'll do it; with my combination of sound card and speakers (usually headphones), on most songs I really do only get a touch of the sound effects. At least, what I consider a "touch". I do like hearing the swooshes, so I suppose it does come down to personal taste.
Music this quiet does warrant lower effects volume, I suppose, it just never occurred to me when I recorded the video.

How do you hear the music over your sound effects, or is it just something in the translation made it loud as hell?

But hey, to each his own, right?
