So disappointed this isn't on the Monster Ball Blu Ray. It's just doesn't seem right watching it cut into the second verse of Dance in the Dark.

It's likely that footage for it was filmed, but only a few seconds were included. We can probably thank the director, Laurieann FLOPson for cutting out all the interludes. Thankfully, she's gone now.

I completely agree. The intro and the interludes are part of what made the Monster Ball so much fun and epic, the HBO special/DVD is nicely filmed but it just doesn't do the Monster Ball justice.You really had to experience it live to fully appreciate it, and I'm so grateful I got to see it twice.
