@Conchobhar Because the characters are speaking Russian. Snake speaks fluent Russian so we hear them as fluently as he hears them just in another language, if you get what I mean. That's why there's no cheesy English speaking with stereotypical "Rassshan" accents

The Sorrow is dead before the game started, but he periodically appears as a ghost to help snake, whether it be a radio frequency to unlock a door or the time remaining on the C3 explosives
