Just a thought i had from reading your comments. I dont know Max Bemis at all, but he's been pretty open with his fans about how dark a place he was at back when Say Anything first started gaining popularity, and how he's not depressed anymore so he "can't" write about all the terrible stuff in his life. I just think that it seems like he wouldn't like reliving those emotions he felt when he was writing that stuff, despite how good it is musically or what it did for his popularity.

@vanhalen39 Max Bemis and Coby Linder are Say Anything. Everyone else either abandoned them or jumped on the bandwagon. Max Bemis put everything he was into his music and his band. He still does. His life just isn't as dark and depressing as it was, and the band members are different, except for Coby. Coby stood by him all the way.

I can't even express how much this song means to me. Who cares if he hates it or not? He created something amazing that we all as Say Anything fans enjoy. As a fan I will listen to anything they come out with because its 1,000,000:1 odds that its going to be ri-goddamn-diculously amazing. So, despite the argument of if he hates it or not just enjoy the shit and embrace each other as fans. I for one am glad ratehim put all these tunes up because he helped me find all this old amazing shit.

@ratehim No he's definitely ashamed of it. He hates baseball and everything previous to it. Thats why he almost never plays baseball stuff live. I love say anything a ton. But honestly most of that stuff is not the quality of writing he is capable of now. He's an amazing poet. It's literally like the short stories Hemingway may have written in high school... He wouldn't be itching to put them on display, especially when the stuff he's doing now is so much better.

Chill. maybe hate and ashamed arent the correct words to describe it but he definitely is more proud of his newer stuff. and it is lyrically more impressive, despite those lyrics you just made up. haha. I don't specifically like the music on the new CD, but the lyrics are really great. Better than baseball, for sure.
