  • I love the moment 2:39

  • perfect dynamika, Schubert is master of Dynamic. this clip is better than other pros'

  • Scary.

    ("Childhood's End".)

  • nice although I heard some mistakes like in somewhere in the beginning I heard a miskey when you were playing the chords an octave higher then an octave lower.

  • wow you play is so well :) compared to some people who could have worked a little harder. it just seems a little faster then originally played but still awesome job!

  • wow, very good.

  • OMG !

    Very Nice !

    It' s wonderfull !

    Great job !

  • to be honest u play very well.. even though u think its not challenging enough, its still great. because your good. however, it seems like u dont really fall into the piece yet. it seems that your thinking about something else and you're rushing trough the peice a bit. but other than that u did a great job. keep it going

  • Very beautiful

What piano do you use in this video

  • @TheBrightsideTV It's a NY Steinway

  • @lieutjennifer thank you

  • It so BEAUTIFUL.

  • ur so good! i wish someday i can play like you!

  • mmmmmm interesante...

  • Nice playing~really good techinics~~~recently there is a kempff version can be found in youtube..that's really impressive ...if you interested in improve to a even higher level...that may worth listening~but anyway..you already done at a master level~

  • Love the way you interpret Schubert, truly amazing! It is also one of my favorite pieces. I just love your playing! Superb!!!

  • Very Good ;D

    Nodame Cantabile Music! \o/

  • Schubert mUsic :-P

  • how long does it take you on with playing the first movement of this sonata?

  • 1. Great Piece

    2. Great Playing

    3. Schubert is Awesome!

  • awesome :D i absolutely love it, the piece and the way u play it :D

  • This was really great! Thanks so much for uploading! And great piano too. :D

  • im challenging my self to study this on my own..n_n..its a great piece and its good in the ears..by the way i like how you play it,,keep it up

  • this is really good! ive been playing it with pedal but after watching this i think im going to try it without

  • Thanks! I really enjoyed it! Except the begginning.. idk sounded just a little awkward, but the rest justified it lol.

  • hey this is not liszt or balakirev, there is no need to attack with bluntness and ferocity. schubert composes easy-going music, which means you don't need to possess the deepness of beethoven. just play it smoother; you really have to love the existence of muic to play this from the bottom of your heart.

but don't worry, you are technically wonderful, just add in abit more expressions and emotions and you're on your way :)

  • on his way? dude he made it. lol. this is just his interpretation of it. hes entitled to that, just as everyone else is.

  • Schubert composes easygoing music? He deserves a little more credit than that.. This music is beatiful and deep.

Great performance. I'm working on this piece, but it's going slow.. Somehow my technique seems unsuited for this music. Yours is super-smooth, though!

  • Great interpretation, I liked it a lot. :)

  • your tempo is too fast

  • The tempo is just fine. I got this piece on a CD and it's 7:57 long. I think it's played at 120 bpm which is the upper bound on "moderato".

  • partially. but well played regardless. i actually enjoy his the best on youtube

  • very good!!! :)

  • i soo love this piece ♥

  • i love the sound of this grand piano. it's perfect! your playing is good and clear too :)

  • very good, i think u should use pedal more. in some places there is not at all, and it sounds a bit stiff(?) o0 or maybe its just your vision about the piece. but other than that i like it rly much..

  • i disagree. I love it without all that pedal...It gives it more of a fierce sound. it evokes emotion that gets me angry. I love it! lol.

  • Great interpretation I gotta say.... you did speed up a bit on some parts of the songs though, but it works. I like watching your video rather than professionals play it. Its pretty much exactly how I would imagine playing this piece. I really enjoyed it. 5/5. Thanks for posting

  • I totally agree. However I'd call him a professional. This piece of music isn't easy to play.

I'm trying to learn it, but on a synthesizer it's pretty much impossible. So I'm buying myself a piano next month :D

  • hell... yes! my gawd! so good. thank you.

  • fantastic soft touch my friend!

  • Fantastic! You're interpretation and technique are very mature! One of my favorite versions - definitely!

  • Nice performance and playing! ^^ I really want to learn this piece. ^^

  • it was good.. but the tempo is getting so much faster :o

  • Love the piece, very dynamic and so emotional.

  • Love the piece it's full of dynamic and emotion.

  • amazing piece i wish i could play so well

  • i like how you keep the intensity when you are quiet.

  • my favorite song most definitely <3 !!!!!

^_^ have u ever seen Nodame Cantabile ?

    very dynmamic and lovely ^_^

  • Indeed. Some parts of it sounds just like in Nodame Cantabile. Very good perfomance.

  • i concur the musical styalings of said show do indeed come to mind when one is listening to this music

  • I'm learning this piece and its pretty hard T-T .. 24 pages all together xD !! Umm this piece is probably about 10th grade level :D

  • 左手が少し強いと思う。特に後半。

    がんばってるんだなって思った。

  • Wow. This recording has a great sound, not too much treble like most other piano videos.

And it was a nice performance!

  • i was moved.......................

  • 強弱がはっきりしていて非常に聞きやすいです。

    ただもう少しまったりした速さのほうがいいと思います。

  • :]

    it makes me smile

  • how difficult would you say this peice is?

    wonderful job by the way.

  • ur a bit fast... but everythings good!

  • i'm jealous, lol.

    i'm playing this piece too.

  • nice job!!

omg.. you remember all of those? XD

    cool

  • its a little fast in beginning, and the quiet section on the third page. dynamics are pretty good, articulation is very good, but could use way more pedal. and bring out left hand. i like it though. good job

  • a bit fast! that just means you can play it that much better at a slower speed though.

  • woooooooooooooow!¡!¡!¡!!

you're really good and cute too jo jo xD

    sounds very awesome ^-^

  • interesting brahmsian1steve, why don't you upload a video of yourself playing this piece the 'correct' way?

  • Très bien! J'espère que tu nous montreras un jour toute cette sonate!

  • how old are you? sounds very awesome, a bit too fast i think

  • i love his play on this classic piece.... not just any kid to play like this.....keep on your good work

  • BRAVO! :)

  • Very well done. Good touch, good dynamic variation. One can tell you put thought into this. This is clearly not just some kid feeling good about himself because he can play the notes.

  • I play piano too and I can tell that you rock^^ but its classical music so you hmmm classical??... Anyway great job on that^^ I love that song^^

  • OMG. you played it beautifully! it was magnificant!

  • omg~ so damn flawless. ur awesome man! *screams*

  • damn.. that was great... im starting to play this one.. and stuck in minute 1:05 or soo..anyway.. great job man..

  • I love this song!!

  • ..it was just great, I like more in a slow tempo,,but i relly don't know wich is the original, i'm talking about Maurizio Pollini record,,

  • nice playing~

excuse me, what did you record this performance with?? I need to make a recording myself, and this is a pretty good quality video. Could u please tell me?

  • May I ask... if there's any way to get the sheet music for free? D=

  • same here.. if anyone has this piano scores, pls share!!!

  • Easy to find on the internet, or go to your closest University's music library. They're sure to have the scores there.

  • man u rock :] that's all i can say;

    everynote seems to be expressed gracefully;

    LOVE THIS PIECES LOTS :)

  • Beautifully played! The dynamics of this piece was very accurately and expressively displayed! Good job, I really like how you played it :)

  • Whoa so u've spent one entire year on it! omg great job! ^^ i've jus started learning this movement last week.. not too challenging but hard to play it smoothly?

  • wow.. where do u study?

  • wow nice! you are genius! i love the way how u play this piece. now i desperately want to learn piano maybe i should start now,so how long have u been playing piano?

  • Nicely done! I love this song but I'm quite a ways away from being able to play it myself. Was it difficult? How long'd it take you?

  • Thank you! This movement is not too challenging technically, though it is extremely difficult to give it the proper structure. The rest of the sonata is very difficult both technically and musically. I gave my first performance of this movement after 1-2 months, but this was recorded after having lived with the piece for about a year. Over that time, I must have changed the tempo 10 times before I settled on this one. I'll try to post the other three movements of the sonata when I record them.
