  • How many of you actually looked up "Gordian Knot"? lol

  • He didn't have a knife? Every rocket jockey carried two things, a stick of gum and a knife.

  • they could have taken the spare tire from her car and put it in front of the wheel of the truck.

  • the way he poped his old lady in the face at the crash site.if that was today he would be put behind bars and kicked out of the airforce.the times sure have changed.

  • great episode, but there are a few things about these old shows that gets me. like how in those days they think they have to explain every single detail of the obvious, lol and if it were me, i would have used that purse or even that piece of the plane to stick in the spokes of the tricycle, lol but thats what makes it suspenseful i guess. lol

  • Thanks fr the upload!Really enjoyed this program back in the day! Youtube has enough ad now days! What's up Youtube?

  • Listen: Billy Pilgrim has come unstuck in time.

  • At least he doesn't react to his wife: "NOW CALM DOWN!!" at the reaction of strange events. In real life when you are provoke in any fashion, and your buddy yells at you and says "CALM DOWN!!" will that make one calm down?? Or if you are angry because of something provoked you, and someone says "JUST RELAX" or "TAKE IT EASY"!! or here is one that tops them all: someone is experiencing a heart-attack: tell him: " stop having a heart-attack!!"

  • great technology with aircraft effects, considering this was the mid 50s

  • Did anybody else think "Stephen King's 'Langoliers' from FOUR PAST MIDNIGHT" when the plot direction of this episode became apparent? After a brief search, I find the air date of this episode was 1/09/65, and this episode is oft mentioned with Twilight Zone "Odyssey of Flight 33" from 2/24/61 as precursors to the plot of King's story. I suppose this means "Flight 33" has priority. Is this all archetypal storytelling or theft?

  • The mere act of walking you are then breaking the space time barrier.

  • classic episode

  • geez I would've just stuck the flare in the bike spoke.

  • great episode, had some issues, First:they said their clocks stopped but their clocks were in the future with them, just because time stops doesn't mean clocks stop Second:if everything was frozen then it would hurt like heck running through grass and stuff (grass is poky) Third: all they had to do was put something in front of the bike, like his jacket or something from the car Fourth: i don't think it explained why only her car was stuck in the timewave, im guessing it was her speed, but still

  • Does anyone recognize the seemless integration of live action, still shots, and actors in freeze mode, models, maybe even cardboard cutouts at some spots? I've never seen it done so well in an era without CGI.

  • The logical problems run amok in this episode but there are still some good spots. In my Outer Limits Companion book it said this episode was made after they knew they were being canceled by ABC.That must have depressed the crew.

  • Since my previous post I found out that the music for the first season was done by Dominic Frontiere, and for the second season by Harry Lubin. I looked up the series "One Step Beyond" and found out the music was done by Harry Lubin! So it wasn't a ripoff or a homage, it was the same guy!

  • @wdd3141 there was an lp record of one step beyond but never the outer limits [a cd was issued in more recent years]

  • Is it me or was the seatbelt 3 feet long then it was 20?? Anyway, I still love these shows.

  • you guys really got into that. cool.

  • This may sound silly, but I don't like the change in musical score in the show's second season. The first season had music that conveyed tension and suspense while exploring the unknown. The second season's music carried an entirely different mood. The theme song sounds like a ripoff or "homage" of Alcoa Theater or One Step Beyond -- I never liked that. The music credit is to Harry Lubin; don't know if he handled the music during the show's first season.

  • that little girl is so adorable

  • Any way to watch this on an Android phone? The YouTube app won't show it and I haven't had any luck trying to download the .flv.

  • Thanks for posting, I saw this episode in 1964, and now today!

  • Why not just put the seat belts on the tricycle wheels?

  • @lazerus9 Yea, he could have tied a seat belt around her large wheel on the front of the trike so she couldn't move it into the truck's path.

  • Two points; 1) Why would the trapped-in-time man tell the couple the solution to save themselves? He mentioned the jet and the car, so he knew where each of them had been when time was disrupted; why wouldn't he simply make his way to the car, take the woman's place in the driver's seat, and wait for normal time to resume to save himself? Talk about stupid writing, and, 2) Emma Tyson, who played the wife, is totally hot.

  • @chesley69 Mary Murphy played the wife--Emma Tyson played the little girl

  • @chesley69 That trapped guy was in some unique event of his own where he failed to be back at the exact place where it happened at the point where time was to catch up to him. It wouldn't have done him any good to try taking the place of the pilot or the wife. I think his initial excitement at seeing them was because he was probably lonely and missed any contact with living beings.

  • They never tied up the loose end with the other trapped negative-image guy.

  • @sgribley Don't think this is a loose end, he was trapped forever, no hope for him.

  • They should have just picked her(jamie) up and move her and turn her in the other direction.

  • @flyingscience They couldn't move anything but stuff from his crashed jet and her crashed car. Everything else was frozen.

  • The magical harp noise was done a little too often ! Yes we know everyones frozen .we get it .

  • This is not a video - it's an over commercialized slide show. It's not worth watching like this. Shame on MGM Digital Media for screwing it up (and itself out of revenue).

  • Good show. What ever happened to the limbo being?

  • This woman is the weakest female character I've seen on TV. Getting hysterical (and getting slapped by her husband), unable to run without holding her husband's hand (even being carried once!), feeling faint and touching her cheek in a "woe is me!" manner and her other mannerisms were annoying. I know this was before women's lib, but still. I kept yelling "Suck it up, woman!"

I'm glad more women are shown as tough and strong on TV today. This character wouldn't last a minute on today's TV.

  • The first lie is when they say, THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH YOUR TELEVISION SET. It was the most horrific dictatorial device that Hitler ever funded.

  • Pretty decent "time travel" story.

    Thanks, MGM.

  • The one with Anne Francis and James Best was a Twilight Zone

  • I have a vague memory of this episode, from when I was about five years old, way back in the early/mid sixties, but I never knew if it was a real memory or a dream--or something from my imagination. I never saw it again, till now, and it turns out to be the Outer Limits, my all-time favorite show. :)

  • @terransage when i was 5 i watched the original superman with that gun going off i ran out of the room screaming they had to tone down the violence after that zsar of the underworld episode when 8 people get killed in the opening

  • good episode much better than twilight zone more scientific oriented

  • remember if the women freaks out slap her lesson number one from within the twilight zone

  • The newer ones are soooo much better that the old ones the old have a terrible plot line and theyre just tryin to copy THE TWILIGHT ZONE

  • This looks like a perfect episode of the twilight zone.

  • in time, the truck driver will discover the seat belts and they will find theirs missing only in the Outer Limits

  • too MANY COMMERCIALS!! are you listening youtube?? looks like i'll be heading to torrent land

  • Comment removed

  • i found a bug in youtube to watch these with no commercials!! Pm me to find out how

  • @tylertyler82 how?

  • Would be spooky, every blade of grass would be the equivalent to a nail.

  • then when I tried to pause it, it errored and I had to refresh it and sit through two more ads!!!

  • I'm not sure what offends me more, the ads or the RATING.

Seriously, can we NOT poison the internet with censorship?

  • Love this format where you can watch entire episodes without the breaks. I could do without the commercials though.

I like Linda's brouch. I wish we still wore those, and dressed this way.

Can he not see it's a man as a photo negative.

  • He lights a cigarette next to his wrecked plane after yelling for a fire extinguisher.

Those things run highly volatile jet fuel right?

  • Right and notice on the side of the x-15 [ before the drop ] it reads HYD DRAIN it uses hydrogen peroxide thrusters for steering in outer space .

  • @JessSayin Rocket fuel its a rocket plane it goes into outer space it can go into orbit with booster rockets

  • @JessSayin Good catch! Ya gotta love the 1950's....Doctors would smoke when delivering babies back then! LOL!

  • 48:35. He's in the right seat of the jeep and she's in the left.

    She's a hottie

  • Good episode but I could live without the stupid commercials.....

  • @impaledmessiah AMEN! Especially at crucial moments. Who cares about Miley Cyrus's stupid new CD.

  • @impaledmessiah

usually if you you push F5 the commercials will go through

  • @impaledmessiah Without the commercials the whole thing most likely wouldn't even be up here. Commercials allow us to watch it without paying. All in all it's a good trade as far as I'm concerned.

  • where are the full seasons of these shows

  • This was the secound to last episode of the series [ a book on science fiction tv describes it thus: a test pilot and his wife are saved from sudden death by a suspension of time ] .

  • @spacepatrolman Makes me wonder if maybe they showed up late to that Twilight Zone episode with the time-stopping watch..

  • I remember this episode as a kid. Not so scary now in the 21st century.

    Check out the X-15, B-52 and 64 Galaxie XL500.

  • Rofl, what a wife beater, 16:08

  • Thanks MGM. --for posting this video.

This was my best one. This one haunted me since 1960's. Made me Think. That's when you know they are good when they make you think. Outer Limits..It was done so well that Even walking home from my friends house i was scared, looking around every corner..

  • @meldaghost mgm they kept using that flying saucer from forbidden planet over and over in the twilight zone they ripped off hermans hermits and got sued I hope they put attack back in hulu

  • my favorite one was when there was the lady and she went to a clothing store and the manikins came alive and they were all like once a month we go out and live real lives like real people and it's our turn..then she started remembering after she was freaking out.

  • I think that was Twilight Zone!!

But that was a great one!!

  • Yes that was the twilight zone with ann francis [there is a movie x-15 were the pilot sees the stars come out in the day time because it is a rocket plane that goes into outer space].

  • @spacepatrolman there is another one with ann francis and james best the paramus police stole the tape from my house .

  • twilight zone my friend !

  • that was twilight zone my friend !!!!!!!

  • oh my bad...i forgot which one i was watching i guess......but it was still a good episode though.

  • @blossom10593 I believe that was an episode of the Twilight Zone 1960

with Anne Francis as the star...Titled: The After Hours..

  • @blossom10593

    Twilight Zone

  • @blossom10593 lmao thats the twilight zone u tard

  • @lPrOckSferGiesUcks92

    you look like a tard

  • @nichole8879 and why is that?

  • @blossom10593 wasn't that a twilight zone episode?

  • did he just slap her at 16:05 ?

    LMAO

Wow, that was a nice one too.

  • Sure. Back in this era of TV shows you slapped someone getting hysterical. You can see just after he felt bad. Probably in real life he'd get slapped back!

  • This is one of my favorite episodes. Of all the monsters, etc., the "Limbo Being" is the creepiest, and coolest to me.

  • Brings back good memories, too bad there isn't much like this anymore. Fringe comes the closest.

  • Does this appear choppy to anyone? I have an Intel Q6600 and a 512MB radeon 3850

  • It plays very smoothly on mine but I have 2 Gig of RAM.

  • One of my favorites! Glad I found it!

  • Did Stephen King rip of his Langoliers story from this?

  • only a little

  • Such a clear picture, looks like HD from the 1960;s .

  • heh, you can see some of the "frozen" people sway slightly

  • If your testicles were itchin' from prickly heat, you'd be moving, too. Playing a frozen human isn't easy, retake after retake.

  • LOL! So true and I don't even have testicles:-D

Thanks for the visual though-it made my day!;-)

I wish they would post more from this show

  • At least it isn't in crappy quality...

  • sick this show rocks

  • eh. i might be excited about this big switch if were able to watch the full movies and tv showss on people's iPhones. of course even if you could the battery would be drained rather quickly. hmm.

you tube can not become hulu because youtube is about short clips and 4 minute films, not about full length features. Tv maybe

  • Have you tried browsing to the URL in safari?

  • I'm watching these vids on iPhone with no problem at all.

  • How? Mine won't play it. I get the stupid play button with an X through it.

  • Dont mess with mother nature by going over 700 mph in 1964.
