Aer Lingus Airbus A330-200 Landing in Dublin DUB

I remember flying this route near enough on the same day as this was filmed (flew back 1st September 2008). It was the first time since I was very young that i had flown on a widebodied jet, and the takeoff roll from LAX seemed to take forever!. Great flight nontheless with the 3 course meal and the seat back TV's :). Its Great shame that Aer Lingus decided to pull the plug on the West Coast flights.

i went on the san francisco transatlantic hops. aer lingus gives them a nice feeling. shame they suspended them.

i was so close 2 using this route but then they cancelled it. so ill use bmi now. i hope they launch transatlantic flights from belfast so i dont have to drive down!

I heard that the LAX route was suspended until the opening of terminal 2 in Dublin...I really hope they bring it back:)

It used to be a direct service lasting about 10 hours. They cut the route in late 2008 in favour of San Francisco which will also be cut temporarily due to the recession.

@phen2206 In summertime I think they have 4 flights daily from Boston.

Not a bad flight, about 5 1/2 hours to Shannon.
