I doubt you've even played a guitar over something like a first act. Elliott Rubison has owned Dean longer than Dean has actually. Zelinsky just wanted more control, and a new beginning with his direction of building guitars. Now seriously grow up.

@wtfjaftw Ill admit Deans quality around 2006 to late 2008 early 2009 weren't anything special in imports. But the USA series has always been exquisite. Though late 2009, and all through 2010 they're getting their shit back together. They had management problems so that effected the quality a lot. Even the 500 range has some very nice guitars for the price. Say the retro Schenker V, and the Mustaine Endgame V. Everything shown at Namm 2010 in the 500 price range this year has been quality.

I would appreciate if someone who owns a Dean could give me a short answer .. I mostly play Metal and I'm about to go and get a Dean but I contantly hear that Deans are shit, and in the same sentence that they have stupid bodys/heads and no creative designs and all that shit.

Is that just talking of some ids who just dislike the style of the Dean guitars or is there something I really should know about the brand before getting one? Is there?

Hm...it depends, I haven't tried the razorbacks but I own a MAB1. It's a decent guitar, and if you want radical shapes/sound ratio thing choose dean over BC, they seem to be shit nowadays. I would also suggest you look through some Ibanez',ESPs and Schecters, all crazy guitars. Dean is when you have about 300$ extra to spend =)

i dotn know why your comment got removed, but in some cases yes, but if you try out say a gibson lespaul through neck with a fender strat it cuts off at the same time, around 6seconds, so not in all cases (im off topic considering we are talking about dean guitars). The bridge and nut have alot to do with it also...
