  • didn't a 310 go off the end of that runway

  • TEXT BOOK LANDINGS !!

  • BEAUTIFUL LIFE!

  • Could have side slipped it right on the piano keys.

  • @MrCoolsays haHA! U r a funny dude. Idle... ahh

  • Takeoff is nothing special, now as to landing thats cool

  • FINALLY some decent music to accompany a compilation video on Facebook. 5 stars (if I could still give stars...)

  • now THATS an aircraft!

  • 1st 20second of the video, i thought the airplane is in flat spin.

  • I love that the skid marks from that dude that crashed into the beach are still there

  • wow

  • Loooove me some twinotter. :) That looks so much crazier from the cockpit! (St. Barts)

PS. I always wanted to ask a veteran pilot why those guys land on that runway all the time, and not the other?

  • Isn't that runway about 1300' long?

  • hi

  • no fare the plain gets to swim shoot machine guns at it its going in circles and destroying the beach

  • loose and engine and swin nope it works just fine

  • black power haha

  • What idiot put an airport there!?!?!?!?!?

  • That's awesome

  • touchdown half way through the runway, stop half way through the runway. Gotta love the twotter

  • Gotta love the sound of Beta

  • Does anybody know if its standard procedure to complete a left turn out of St. Barths on departure?

  • I wonder how commercial operations get around the fact that those tiny little runways won't meet any twin engine aircraft accelerate / stop distance requirement. When I flew commercial flights, the runway had to meet that requirement for the day's conditions or we couldn't take off. Then again, I flew off of nice big runways, too. Just seems like here, if you have a problem before V1, you are absolutely going off the end of the runway in a big way. :)

  • @cfi2927087 there would just be a particularly low V1 with a large split between V1 and VR

  • @gregaperkin - You know what? I never thought of that. Thanks for the reply.

  • beautifull machine

  • 1:35 how does this plane stopped? have reverse?

  • @swtrooper11 Yes it's a Twin Otter (you can tell by the ceiling mounted throttles). They have reversible pitch props.

  • @askii3 oh , and that's effective like on a 737 reverse ? thank u.

  • damn that's an approach that's either make it or don't....

  • what twin engine plane is that?

  • @mrMTronny looks like an AeroCommander but I'm not positive.

  • If people actually knew the performance level of the DHC-6 they wouldn't think this is difficult

  • Throttle on the roof of the plane? LOL?

  • @KiDFRANKKK Dehavilland are famous for their throttles like that.

  • @KiDFRANKKK

you mean overhead panel? roof is outside. LOL?

  • @Croopskate SUP GAIZ IM CROOPSKATE I LIKE BEING EXTREMELY LITERAL LOL

  • Testicles of Titanium if you ask me!

  • QUE HERMOSO VÍDEO, ME HA EMOCIONADO TREMENDAMENTE!

    WOOOWWW!!!

  • Nice one.. :)

  • very good video!!!!!

  • Canadians need to post some flights at their "normal" airports in the mountains. I've been into a few that were challenging. One was like an aircraft carrier glued to the side of a mountain. Pattern took you around a peak that was mid valley so you could not see the runway until you turned base & then you were looking at a granite wall.

Oh, and the runway had a 4%(?) slope down. Another was a 1 way down a valley that ended into a hangar. It was some of the most fun flying I've ever done!

  • very good video . Nice men !

  • At 1:56, notice the sand grouse running behind the aircraft!

  • Shit, that must be one of the scariest landing ever!!!!

  • I remember my days flying into and out of St. Barts!! Nice video

  • on the second one, why not just land from the other side

  • @TheVideowave because theres no go arounds

  • @TheVideowave You always have to land into prevailing winds, therefore you cannot choose which direction you land/take off in, it is determined by wind direction.

  • because its not so hard, he can just turn 180 after landing in the first half :D

  • @SirKamiloPL I'm assuming you're talking about St. Barths. Landing towards the mountain is dangerous because 1) if you're close to touchdown and have to go-around...you're fucking, you'll hit the mountain. And 2) if you touchdown too fast and run off the end of the runway, you're going to hit the mountain instead of (relatively) soft sand. The approach is a bit more dangers coming over the mountain, but safer in regards to the actual landing.

  • I love the 2:39 perspective. It really puts things in.... perspective :D

  • dushi bo ta hasi lincoln !

  • Excellent...!!!!

    That´s amazing..!!!!

  • nice

  • I bet you get a crazy dip coming over that peak. Good thing to talk to someone who has landed there before prior to your first attempt XD Vasi show red/white... wait red/red!

  • fuck thats insane. gotta be the most dodgy approaches out

  • great flying,,

  • LOL!! I thought it said Now That's Funny

  • They should add steam catapults on the Saba runway just like on an aircraft carrier, hehe :) Excellent pilots. Thanks loads for sharing!

  • Mannn i will do almost anything to have there jobs, lol, love it!

  • Great Video! Nicely put together.

  • at 3:39 i thought we were still at St. Barts!

  • Caribbean pilots. The best.

  • lose an engine on takeoff= a nice swim!!

  • @kinggtupper Not really. Planes like this are designed to fly with 1 engine. Flying with 1 engine is part of the training for such pilots.

  • @kinggtupper And death :/

  • @kinggtupper The Twin Otter can fly on 1 engine :D

  • @kinggtupper Dude, WTF

  • Very Nice Video!!!! 5/5

  • Twin Otter is just an awesome aircraft.

  • Saba to St. Barts! What a flight!

Bet the fun never stops on these routes!

  • That is one short runway! Better not 'float' on this one!

  • id lke to see someone touch down on the numbers! lol

  • how much is a ticket for one of these

  • side winds would make this epicly hard

  • @skat0r CROSS WINDS...

  • yes you are totaly right i feel really bad now

  • @skat0r didnt mean to yell didnt see the caps lock on :)

  • increadible how those planes stop so quick!! great video!

  • I want a stab at that runway! Looks fun, in a terrifying way. Course I'd do it in a cub or something, not these big old charter planes!

  • Shiiiit ! is that alowed by FAA ? It look`s difficult to land even for my smallest flying machine (powered paraglider) ! Are you wearing a scooba diving suit or something ?

  • its not under FAA regulation

  • Did he take off from SABA?

  • yes

  • aH man.. i wanna fly there

  • see LUKLA, Nepal !!!

  • Lukla is crasy, too but the runway in SABA is much shorter than the one in Lukla...

  • Saba is not a short runway for a twin Otter

  • I didn`t say that it`s to short for a twin otter but the runway at SABA is more short :D

  • beautiful

  • lol , the rate of decent was so fast it went 500 , 400 , 300 , 200 , 100 , 50 missed out 40 ,30 and 10 :P

  • Nice!

    Great quality!

  • filho da putaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa....pilota muiiiiiiiitttooooo

  • Wow! that was a REALLY very short runway -St Barths... Nice video man.. Cool Pilots.

  • BEAUTY-FILLED!

  • Good vid, you have done a good job. Thumbs up.

  • haha i KNEW that was Caribbean Airlines when it was coming from far!.. thats how they do it.. low and fast.

  • I second that.
