Walking? Walking's for bitches. How dare they build any cities not easily accessible to my ship? I demand "sail-through" plundering dammit! I'm a very busy pirate and my time is valuable.
11:00 Not much of a puerto if it's landlocked, is it? And as for Panama, where's Teddy Roosevelt when you need him?
14:40 Where did this pirate get a lime green coat?
18:44 So the promising pirate hunter from video 2, Baron LaMancha, has become the cowardly pirate, Colonel LaMancha, in video 3? My, how the tables turn.
20:00 It was a pirate hunter. Or rather, it was him, as a pirate hunter. Dude knows a lot about a lot, apparently.
1:20 Thanks for finally telling everyone Grimith. I can just imagine all of your viewers bringing rapiers to fistfights because they take everything you say literally.
I also find it ironic that by the time you start raiding cities and attacking important Spanish assets over half of your crew were probably those captured from attacking ships.
Heh, as soon as Puerto Principe and Panama were mentioned, I winced. Oh, the joys of attempting to attack landlocked cities with your crew in a land battle. And having the TF in VC was just unfortunate. I think I might have an idea as to where that treasure is located based on that map piece, but I'll keep it to myself. Certainly enjoying this video series to say the least, however. Something I always found funny was that no matter how many deeds you do, you can only move up one rank at a time.
@J2JonJeremy On the bright side, moving up only one rank at a time allows you to milk the system for additional acres of land. Since I only have one nation supporting me here, I have to do what I can.
@08:52 Oh, is that how it's pronounced? Having played a lot of Rome total war before I really got into the Pirates series of games, I always though Puerto Pricipe was pronounced more like a certain Roman unit in the total war game.
3:22 Since you have shown your history knowledge hax, let me apply mine here.
Santa Martha has (sadly) nothing to do with santa claus, but the island of Saint-Martin/Sint Maarten does. It's the upper island of the group dots on the middle-right portion of the map at 00:21.
This island was named after a 4th century priest named Saint Nicholas, whose image was used for the dutch/belgium holiday "Sinterklaas". This later got modified by dutch immigrants in American culture to become Santa Claus.
21:20 - You might've had a shot at Vera Cruiz, but you wouldn't have found the pirate to tell you about it. And it's unlikely you would go out of your way to head there if Panama beckons, yes?
@ScreamingDoom Eh, if I thought I had a fair shot at getting to the Treasure Fleet, I would have pursued it instead of heading to Panama. My long-lost sister can wait; my barques must construct additional gold pieces!
@14:41 Wow, that's a rather deformed looking 'Limey' there Q_Q.

It used to always baffle me how Puerto Principe has "puerto" in its name. Some fucking port, sitting exactly in the middle of Cuba.

@effingcontroller It's a land port!
