@RageCompeX No, It was a few things that you could do mainly in an encrypted file you would change Client.IsSpectator 1, and have it re-apply it during a event call but you can't leave your body anymore because Client.IsSpectator got moved Server sided.

@lunatic359 get a game file decrypter, google "BF3 file decrypt". Then open them up in a text editor, search for a value name with spectate/spectator in it, change to 1. Encrypt back and try. Basically that's the method, but I never got it to work (bf3 crash), but that was before the latest patch, or even one more before...

As much as a spectate mode would be great for server admins, it has one major drawback, it can very easily be used as a cheat (at least in this form). One player in spectate, flying around the map pointing out everything enemy players are doing and relaying that info to his team or buddies on Teamspeak, Vent, whatever.

I would love spectate, would make it a lot easier for admins and players alike to record hack users, but with restrictions/limitations to prevent abuse from happening.

I heard before this was patched you would try and spawn on a radio beacon and have someone destroy it right as you spawn and supposodly it makes you do this.  But it has been patched
