i'm sorry, but this show was far better than X. X was a terrific show, but there were a lot of times where the energy and dynamic potential attitude of the show felt muted. kylie was 150% on for this show, not to mention several arrangements were done better for this tour. Light Years on this show is stellar, better than the Showgirl version, and Speakerphone is 10X better than what we saw on X tour...and i thought that was an impossible feat.
I completely agree, every tour seems to top the last, I was at the show in Toronto and it was amazing! Even the added bits from old tours like Slim Lady and the projections from BL Live for Slow were just brilliant addititions!

BTW, the sparkle cannons were so loud as to be a distraction on the audio. I prefer the Balloon drop. Maybe she'll do it this last show (which is getting easier to get tickets to as we speak). What might that say?. She' and the band is getting tired?. US east coasters are just harder to please. You do have to be MUCH better than "good" to grab New Yawkers attention. HELL, Rangers Hockey tix are harder to get now.(and more costly). AND that's on a Monday night with 18k seats!

Yea, the sound and light guys know their stuff BUT why wasn't this the entrance?. Light Years made zero sense. I will continue to preach. Song list was thrown together to accomodate Kylie's favorite props, not any continuity. "Dare, Shocked"?. What this with the dancers doing the "run-way"?...Leftover costumes?. Where's the bounce?. Yea, smaller stage, so what?. Do we deserve less than Croatia?. The Ballads?. YAWN. Showed this to some fans who know her other stuff. They agree. Half-Ass/C-grade
From what i understood from press here in the U.K., prior to the show commencing, Kylie said she wanted to take a show, showing some of the " best bits " from her previous more recent tours as a taster for American audiences.
Im sure on the strength & positive feedback she has recieved from both fans & critics, she will return to the States whilst on a future World Tour.
I quite liked the " Light Years " entrance, as the whole " fasten your seatbelts, my name is Kylie " came across as an entrance and a " welcome to the show " kind of thing??
I guess it is a case of each to his or her own, but whilst i understand your disappointment, and your desire to see something new & original, i also understand her decision to present the show the way she has.

Thanks Eternia for atleast considering my point of view on this thing before giving me the ole "shut up and thumbs down" response. It's not that I dislike antiquity. HELL, I actually wanted to see things done more traditionally. Some of her "new-er" different arrangements, like "Lucky" were great disaspointments . "Confide" was a disastor in my book. it should've been done like "showgirl" . The ballerinas looked stunning BUT were poorly used. She herself refers to Grade B and C shows. This? C -
Like i said, im sorry you felt it didnt live up to your expectations.
I spoke with a few of my friends in the States one of which attended the opening night in Oakland and one who was at the opening night in New York, and both absolutely LOVED the show.
Neither had any complaints about the show, other than the omittance of the song, On a Night Like This.
I guess, to each his own, and i just hope that when Kylie brings her next tour to the States, perhaps you will give her another chance. x

It's the "Hope you ENJOYED the flight" instead of "HOPE" you ENJOY the Flight" that makes me think of that. Actually, the show had several entrances."Boom Box" with the "Doctor Who" graphics wouldv'e been better on-the-skull..I understand the countdown sequence to Light Years but it's always been a closer NOT an opener. (Fever 2002, Showgirl, Homecoming,).
I wanted a piece of that LCD stage floor too.
It was a good show, not a "great show". Not even a good sampler./teaser.

But you got the entire works in Manchester. We got the C-grade show.. Is she coming back for the big stuff?. Lenny Kravitz (her ex-boyfriend) got better reviews in NYC...I hear his really was a sellout show There were hundreds of people trying to unload Kylie tickets for 10/12's show at very discount prices. (30 to 40 bux). You;'d think, a 3500-capacity hall would have twice the demand. BUT the laser light companies got a great demo. Glitz and leftovers. Guess KM demonstrated she doesn't need us
KYLIE!!! THE BEST!
