  • This is theme ryu street fight.

  • Grande Lyoto

    Grande Karate Machida !!!

  • lioto dragon machida grande

  • what song?

  • @2431346 street fighter ii v theme

  • O LYOTO DEVIA ENTRAR NO OCTÓGONO SOB TEMA DE RYU.

The LYOTO SHOULD get into the cage UNDER THE THEME OF RYU.

  • this guy knocked out Couture.

  • Lyoto is the true marcial artist!! Hes the future of mma, like saint pierre hes realy humble in victory and in defat! oss

  • Any serious martial artist well train in the traditional styles to see how it works even if you train mma you can always put your spin on it. It's been said over and over in the street there are no rules i want reality based fighting not systematic training that leads no were except for sending the message that this is the only and real way thats not fighting thats playing in a cage.

  • The Dragon is my inspiration.

  • this goes against karate niju kun.

  • @kylesterep what does, machida himself or my video?

  • @dhkk43 Machida.

  • @kylesterep you know what, i actually agree with that, even tho im a machida fan theres no way around it, its a simple fact that he fights for money and fame, thats the fact no matter how you try to put it. i will not make any excuses for him like he's actually fighting for this but we think he's fighting for that... or try to change the meaning of niju kun by saying what it actually means if this and that... i've never even seen him bow so you're right

  • @dhkk43 yeah, you are only suppose to use violence when absolutely necessary. like when you have to protect friends, family, and those who are not strong enough to defend themselves. fighting for fame is not the path of justice. but then again Shotokan karateka isn't what it used to be. it's more rather a sport now-a-days than a way of life. personally, it is my way of life.

  • @kylesterep while i do agree that niju kun is the best path for a shotokan karateka, i believe machida has the right to choose his own path, but you are correct he does go against niju kun

  • @dhkk43 i agree 100% with him having the right to choose his own path.

  • @dhkk43 People like you who turn karate into some pseudo-religion are a disgrace to real martial arts. You can take your niju kun and suck it. Im sick of people like you who water down karate because you want to take the moral high ground and pretend you're above everyone else because you follow the "karate code". You live in a delusional world if you think the niju kun has any grounding in reality. "OMG Machida doesn't bow and he fights! How dare he, he goes against karate!!" You're ridiculous.

  • @theuppro i dont follow niju kun, my previous comments made it clear that i had nothing against machida for not following it, "machida doesnt bow and he fights, how dare he"?... you're just making false assumptions and putting words in my mouth, all i meant was that machida never claimed to be a follower of niju kun and there is nothing wrong with that. people like u who impose their opinions on others are the REAL disgrace to martial arts, if u dont like my opinion troll somewhere else.

  • @kylesterep

How dare you pass judgement on someone for taking up this kind of path. Are you suggesting that what he is doing is unjust? He is a great warrior who fights with honour, courage, and dignity yet you turn around and fling lofty, pretentious nonsense at this man. It is YOU who is unjust and it is YOU who does not understand the Budo Code. Competitions such as these builds his experience and abilities which will give him the power to protect his family and friends.

  • @widugeist he also fights for money.

  • @kylesterep

There are also many reports of MMA fighters doing exactly that, using the skills they gained while fighting and training against robbers and muggers. In fact, one actually died doing this. Your lofty and arrogant speech only serves to smear dung on the honour and good name of these noble and heroic men. Furthermore, MMA has lead the way to creating MAC (Modern Army Combatives) to equip those who fight for my country.

  • @widugeist also i didnt think you completely read the discussion i had with the person that uploaded this video. you should study before you jump to conclusion and get your panties in a bunch.

  • @kylesterep

I can see why you would have reservations about Tank Abbott or Tito Ortiz given their undignified behavior on public TV. However, this particular man is steeped in honour and Tradition. Give him some respect.

  • @widugeist personally i dont even watch MMA.

  • @kylesterep

There are some MMA fighters who have preserved the Budo Code, and do live by the ways of Tradition and Respect. In the Traditional world, sport was used as a means to keep the warrior class strong and fit during times of peace so that they can have the cutting edge when they go to war thereby protecting their families, friends, and countrymen. Unless you are willing to do whatever it takes to build your strength to defend others do not ever refer to the niju kun ever again.

  • @widugeist lol, and you are starting an argument for no reason. good job.

  • @kylesterep

No, I am not starting an argument for no reason. I grew up practicing karate / judo and I trust in the Bushido Code. I also support the concept of MMA, all though I do disagree with the directions that many MMA schools are taking. I believe that the spirituality and code of ethics that went with Traditional Martial Arts should remain in MMA, and I also disagree with playing "rap metal" in a training area with its profane lyrics and soulless worldview.

  • @widugeist i am not trying to argue what is right or wrong. you can have whatever point of view you wish. i think MMA is stupid. japanese style tournament in my opinion is much different than MMA fights in US. the scale of conduct is completely different. and if your training suited you, you wouldn't be getting offended over something so petty. good day sir.

  • @kylesterep

And if your training suited you, then you would not be so offended by martial artists competing in MMA...oh great wise master who has transcended the ability to have distaste!

  • Song @ 1:17??

  • @EdgarE5S search for Ryu from Street fighter it must be one of his themes ...fits very well with machida-san

  • @Banzaifighter Lyoto Machida is Ryu....

  • Lyoto vc é o orgulho para nos brasileiros, neste pais sofrido com corrupção e pobreza vc nos alegra . Que Deus te abençoe nosso campeão

  • street fighter!? kkkk great ideia

i love this song, this momentun in the cartoon too.

mashida is a great fighter, go ahead and make bigger the karate in the mma.

  • Lyoto The Dragon Machida = Minamoto Machida

  • each day i wake up, and i think, why am i going to drink my own piss

  • Brasileiro fudendo os estrangeiros! isso ai! brasil fabrica de lutadores! é nois!

  • fuking wackass video

  • I dont care what you haters say, he crossed his legs and tripped when he fought shogun.

  • Comment removed

  • go lyoto

  • awsome

  • he could play ryu on street fighter

  • @alp4a play? he IS RYU

  • Lyoto Machida = Ryu

  • lyoto is one among the best

  • i think loyto machida must improve his punchs kicks for better damaga because thats the reason he lost to shogun he was fighting better shogun got more hits in the fight only machidas hits wasnt giving any good damage if he improves that he will beat shogun

  • lyoto is a great martial artist

  • Interesting how the haters come out in full force just because Lyoto lost one fight after going undefeated for so long and becoming a UFC champion. No one declared BJJ dead after Royce Gracie finally lost his first fight. It's just the fact that Lyoto had the audacity to come from a Shotokan Karate background and become a champion UFC fighter that makes the haters make such a big deal of his loss to Shogun. Lyoto practices Karate the way it was originally meant to be practiced.

  • Lyoto Machida Rules Shotokan rules!!!!

  • 'You also have to lie that you won the first fight against a better opponent like Shogun, which I did, and I obviously sucked dick when he hit me with that right' - Lyoto Machida

  • he lost but he will get back up and learn from his mistakes.

  • The Dragon will rise once more

  • whats the movie called where you got the footage from?

  • @NexttripleX countdown to UFC 84 ILL WILL

  • Shogun defeated Lyoto...

But only an hard defeat like this could make him grow more then a win.

The dragon Will Rise Again. Stronger Then Ever.

  • looks like someone has a crush...

  • hey man wuts the name of this song, i really want to kno please

  • @chrismsl street fighter ii v hadouken

  • @chrismsl this is some strange version of the Terminator theme song

  • é do brasillllll

  • stop argueing about how long u idiots have trained nobody cares, alot of ppl are naturally athetic and can catch up in years nobody cares, theres so many ppl who train since they were fcken 5 and still suck

  • @Devon187 haha true, but i think determination and heart's the most important thing, a determined person who just started MMA can surpass an undetermined karate dude who's trained since he was a fuckin sperm cell in one year, maybe less, that's y shogun outfought machida

  • @dhkk43 ha you think machida doesn't have heart, what makes you think that?.. lol in one of these highlights (by ghengis con i think) machida's backstage talking about how he trains and crys lol

  • @Devon187 u got me wrong i meant shogun had more heart and thats y he did so well, machida still has the heart of a lion, i hope he's learned from his previous fight n will beat shogun in the rematch

  • @dhkk43 oss u can't win em all, make a comeback dragon

  • Nothing to take away from Shogun, but Lyoto slipped into full mount and lost by chance... It's VERY rare that you're gonna get someone like Lyoto Machida into full mount... It was just one of thoughs one in a million "oops" moments from Lyoto... But like a good fighter, Shogun took the advantage and did what he had to do to win.

  • @GuamKomudo lmao, listen to yourself. lost by chance? He was already halfway gone when Shogun outstruck him with that right. He also took shogun down but when shogun was down he was the one manipulating lyoto .. shogun is too good, he fought in pride against the best, lyoto fought in dumbass jungle fights

  • You're so disrespectful... Lyoto has beaten the best of the best... Rashad, BJ, Tito, Thiago, ect... And during thoughs fights he never lost a single round acording to the judges. Shogun is an amazing fighter, he's great! But beating Lyoto does not make Lyoto a bad fighter... Brock Lesner lost before, why don't you go challenge him... Shogun lost before too, so he sucks? No, they are fighting beasts, they are all amazing. All of them would beat me, so I will say nothing bad of any of them

  • @GuamKomudo your new comment makes a lot more sense than your previous one, i personally disagree that lyoto lost by chance because look at how shogun fought him, we've never seen anyone land that many strikes on machida before, he wasnt like everybody else, just landing one or 2 strikes throughout the whole fight, even before knocking him out he seemed more agressive and yes, lyoto is still a good fighter, 1 loss to 1 of the best doesnt mean shit, so critics can stfu abt that.

  • @dhkk43

Not to be hostile, but I agree with GuamKomudo though. Shogun was lucky with that punch. Lyoto isn't a reckless fighter. He usually only counter attack. But in Lyoto vs Shogun 2, Lyoto just pushed forward recklessly that gave him an opening. Shogun got lucky with the punch that caught him.

But I do think Machida vs Shogun 1 was a bad decision. Although I agree with Machida that the commentary was biased, Shogun still won.

  • @ifluxion If Lyoto is usually a counter fighter but this time he rushed in and made a tactical error, that isn't luck.

  • @UnicronVI and that's lucky for Shogun isn't it?

  • @ifluxion you're a dumbass. Shogun is a better fighter than Machida. thats why he beat him TWICE. we all know machida lost the first fight as well. It just shows how out dated karate is. now adays u need everything combined to be the champ. Including aggressiveness which machida lacks.

  • @xKillerWandx

You are fucking dumbass Read the fucking comments before you say that. I admitted Lyoto losing the first fight and Shogun being better. That's fucking serious fail you just did there.

Anyway Karate is not outdated. Just because he lost against best fighter doesn't put you on the bottom of the list smartass.

  • @ifluxion no one put him at the bottom of the list, but his style is too plain. and shogun was not lucky with that punch. thats how he fights and lyoto got caught. style is not luck

  • @dhkk43 but also look at Lyoto's last two fights (Evans and Silva) before Rua, something has changed in him. He seems slower and more uncomfortable like he doesn't want to be there anymore. I think lyoto has the talent to be the top pound for pound but I think he has personal problems to. He barely ever if ever smiles, and watch the start of his first fight with rua when they were announcing him something has changed.

  • @GuamKomudo He s A Great Fighter! All fighter have to lose once or twice to come stronger!

Its just a wake up call, to work harder!

  • @GuamKomudo shogun rua might have beaten lyoto machida now, but i still think that machida is the #1 light heavyweight!!

he was undefeated before, and shoguns first fight against machida was not that impressive as people think

lyoto will fight him again for sure, he will go through rampage like its nothing. then he will challenge anybody in his way, evans, griffin and everybody until he gets hi title shot again.

then we will see if shogun is really THE champion, and not just another title holder

  • I don't know who will win, everyone has a chance of a lucky punch. It really comes down to the very second someone makes a mistake and how quick the other can react on it. Lyoto is my favorite, but that does not mean Shogun's amazing achievement should be dimminished by us who judge. They are all of greater skill than me, and who am I to judge any of them, or say how it will turn out. Lyoto is awesome, but now we get to see how he comes back after a loss, which is a sign of a REAL warrior

  • @GuamKomudo people are idiots pisses me off that people say lyoto sucks hes down etc cause he lost once to shogun come on its fucken shogun no shame there lyoto didnt lose to a chump

  • @GuamKomudo only brazilian i dont fucking hate,...WAR SHOTOKAN, somebody has balls for representing shotokan~

  • @GuamKomudo Much respect to him for giving Shogun a rematch after he won then he's going to have a third rematch after losing. How many people would give another rematch to a guy as badass as Shogun Hua. I'm not hating but Shogun did bust Lyoto up pretty badly but he's not backing down. That's G.

  • Undefeated lol

  • undefeated on the judge's scorecards ;)

  • he started karate at the age of 3

  • Yep thats what the UFC said

  • lyoto says 4, but 2bh i really dont care, maybe he started training on his 3rd birthday or a day before his 4th birthday, its a difference of, at the most a year.

  • po na maroal lyoto machida e foda pra caralho o cara tem o a força brasileira e a busca pela perfeição japonesa

  • This guy has the sickest mono brow in mma

  • true warrior

  • my favourite mma fighter ever....

  • this shit from Street fighter music

  • whats up with faggy music

  • thats exactly wut ive been thinking after seeing all of these machida videos

  • Akido only works in movies, take it from Bas Rutten who would murder segal.

  • the point is that steven seagal does not practice shotokan karate as diplomatic4 said

and i would not underestimate aikido it can be succesfully used as a self defence, in fact on the street you will never be attacked by bas rutten a real martial artist like him will never intentionally hurt anyone (except in the octagon), but perhaps someone with a knife will attack you and then aikido can be useful

  • Machida's roots are born out of Shotokan; that is what his father trained and mastered in.

You are right about Aikido; however, it is a very hard art to master. If the other guy has a weapon (knife) you better really know your shit!

  • mate whoever told you to use "aikido" or any other empty hand technique against someone with a knife is a fucken irresponsible moron!

I trained in Kali for years and even I know if someone pulls an edged weapon you run. And any Kali practitioner would cut some aikido poof to shreds! Reality and what you do in the dojo are two different things player.... no disrespect intended, just don't want you to get yourself killed!

  • i agree with u that the best thing is running away, avoiding any sorts of physical contact, especially when ther is more than one attacker

but u are sorely mistaken if u think that aikidokas dont know how to defend against knife attacks. their demos seem useless, but i have done a lot of martial arts, im now at mma, and let me tell u, their defenses against grabbing and their wrist submissions are the best and most effective defenses against weaponry attacks. the dojo is a simulation of reality.

  • Yeah but there is a BIG jump between simulation and reality. I started bouncing after 3 years of MMA training to test myself out and although I did well, nothing you do in the dojo prepares you for some of the shit you come up against in the street. Wenever I had a broken glass or knife pointing in my direction I did not take them on. I have seen first hand what happens to your face. No technique can prepare you for it. Fuck wat you've done, if you bleed don't fuck with knives!

  • ur 100% right, my bjj trainer told me that a gracie will tell u that by learning his style a knife attack will b nothing for u but the reality is that the chances of a hand beating a knife r too low, he also told me that if more than one opponent comes against me, kick em in the balls n run, dont turn it into a bruce lee movie

  • hey whats the music thats playing??? i like it,,,tell me plzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  • the song is from the anime: Street fighter 2V

  • Comment removed

  • Firstly it's Steven seagal and he never practiced shotokan karate, as a matter of fact he never practiced any form of karate, his martial art is aikido,so u should get ur facts straight instead of telling this person to get his facts right. Good vid very interesting :-)

  • its machida karate not shotokan, shotokan is like steven siegal machida is trained by his father who trains him in machida karate and jujitsu get the facts right before labeling a vid bro thx :)

  • i read the article where he talks abt machida karate n says its an ancient japanese form n all, thing is before he beat evans every1 said his style is shotokan, n i made this vid before he ko'd evans

  • thats not right:

    1) Steven Seagal fights with Aikido

    2) Machidas father Yoshizo Machida is a Shotokan Karate master, he was sent to Brazil by the JKA

    3) Machida Karate is just a good business trick

    so that are the facts

  • thats a good point 2 b honest

  • lol his English is awful

  • I'm a BIG Lyoto Machida fan but he did lost to shogun. Shogun did much more damage.

  • lyoto is one of the best but he lost to shogun im just being honest. people need to realize shogun is no joke he lost to griffin because he had back to back knee surgeries. If shogun fights forrest again he will kill him

  • Shogun will loose again in May....

  • any1 know name of song??

  • pff samurai, legs should be gone

  • There are many great fighters in the UFC, but at the end of the day they are just that and nothing more.

Lyoto Machida, on the other hand, is a great fighter because he has the Spirit of Martial Arts in him. It is not because of his Asian heritage but because of the philosophy, attitude, and behavior he brings into MMA .

Lyoto Machida, my brothers, is very special !!!

  • @pbrlimit true martial artists/warriors don't fight for decisions.

  • O LYOTO É O RYU DISFARÇADO!!!!

  • Machida is the best.

    Shogun is outstanding fighter.

One of the best fights i ever seen in my life.

    Waiting for the rematch.

  • yup me too

  • me to can't wait for may 1

  • Machida is best

  • Machida = Karate Kid/Daniel Larusso + Ryu from Street Fighter.

The most Epic fighter I've ever seen from UFC!

  • Сёгун навалял этому непобедимому каратисту =)

  • SHOGUN FROM PRIDE IS BACK !!

  • whats this song?

  • street fighter ii v "hadouken"

  • Well if they make a new street fighter movie that doesn't suck, we know who would be a bad ass Ryu. I hate all the bad press over the Shogun fight though, it doesn't change the fact that he is a great fighter, and it's not Machida's fault that the judges made their decision, so there's no reason to badmouth him because of it.

  • Comment removed

  • its stupid because shogun doesnt blame machida so wat gives those idiot critics the right 2 blame him

  • and the fight was even, anyone who serious says that SHogun dominated machida is a f'ïng retard.

Its was even, a rematch should be used to see who really has that extra when it is requried, both took it easy towards the end, just waiting for the timer.

  • and even if the judges decided the fight to be a draw...lyoto wouldstill be the champion so whatthe hell...

lyoto will win now though. he had already timed his opponent, he already studied shogun one whole fight

against machida time is an extremly big factor!

  • Machida is not a judge, 104 was not his best performance but what was he supposed to do? Turn the belt down when they called his name lol. Machida is the best fuck the people who dont agree.

  • i always watch this video for inspiration before i train everyday

  • Dude, I do too ! It's so moving and makes you actually want to train for the honor of it ! War Machida, forever !!!

  • he speaks portugese though.. so is that a brazillian language?

  • i recon shogun beat him

    shit judges

  • Machida did deserve the win. he had much higher quaity attacks, it was very close and he lost the 5th round clearly. But this the best thing for him, the bad press. I think he will be a much better fighter because of it.

  • undefeated but with an ass wipe

  • He looks like ryu! Look at his eyebrows and eyes!

  • i know, lol its cuz, well u probably know, his dad's japanese... even tho he looks more brazillian (like his mother) than japanese he looks exactly like ryu, its weird, lol

  • well we will c whos the better of them tonite

  • where did you get the interviews from

  • One of the most diverse fighters ever!!

  • a musica do street fighter kkkkkkkkkkkkk

  • SHORYUUUUKEN! Literally meaning Dragon Punch!

The Dragon vs Shogun! Both originating from Japan's ancient Historic cilvilzation!

  • shogun's not of japanese descent, only his nickname is japanese

  • What I mean when I say "Shogun" is a military rank and historical title for Hereditary Commanders in Chief of the Armed Forces of Japan. I don't actually mean Mauricio Rua.

  • his secret is he drinks his own piss

  • ur so funny man...

  • it helps.

  • THE REAL LIFE RYU

  • Amen to that.

  • WHAT SONG IS THAT

  • the song reminds me of the Terminator 2istrumental tune

  • its the theme for street fighter ii v

  • THE REAL LIFE KARATE KID

  • He's the modern Ryu. amazing. I never would have thought I would have seen the day that a shotokan karate guy would do well in the UFC. It's a beautiful thing.

  • in my opnion the fighter that has the best chance to beat machida is dundundundun.....gsp...lyoto is my favorite fighter and i want to see him fight gsp so bad email me or add me if your a big fight fan so we can share an opinion

  • whoa you got your weight classes mixed up big time haha

  • I dunno man, even if GSP and Machida met at a catch weight, GSP would have trouble handling Machida in the standup. If GSP managed to take it to the ground then I can see him winning, Machida's just got some of the best footwork in MMA. Most of his KOs are from luring the fighter in where he wants them to be, and GSP hasn't set the world alight with his standup recently. Its a fight I'd like to see though.

  • how the hell would gsp fight him. he barely walks around at 185 almost theres no way he could go all the way up hed barely be able to make it to 185 to fight

  • gotta respect machida, he burns fuel, but thanks to his spirtual training, he keeps on going...unlike westerners who train mma....

  • i have really earned a great deal of admiration 4 machida

    all i gotta say is

thank u machida 4 reminding us wat the martial arts are really about

  • Lyoto is a westerner :)

I get what you're saying though - the mindset and focus trained in TMA is a huge asset no doubt - you see too many MMA fighters who break mentally. Cro Cop for example I think would benefit from doing some work in that department.

  • everybody syas that his fighting style is boring, but i dont think so. i love his technique making people rush him and making them make mistake

  • I agree. It makes the ART in martial arts. Its just not appealing for all the dumb brawlers and drunken casual fans that just want to see somebody get their head knocked off. Sadly, it will only become more like that as MMA gets more popular and appeals to an ever larger demographic of dumbasses.

  • its sad, but we shud b used 2 it by now, its been happening since the early vale tudo days, even at ufc 1, everybody wanted 2 c royce gracie ultimately beaten because he fought very technically n they got bored watching, instead they were cheering for the over-sized meat-head giants royce was beating even tho he had a significant disadvantage in his weight

  • i love this song

    street fighter ryu

the name of the song is??

  • i think its called street fighter ii v hadouken, u can find it on youtube

  • It's the theme for "hadouken"

  • Lyoto machida representando o karate ...

Isso cala a boka de muito pau no cu ki nao sabe nda sobre a luta e fala bestera por ai...

  • fedor is just dodging lesnar and im not a lesnar fan
