If the fight scene had gone this way, i believe that episode would have been a lot faster, and therefore would have held my attention better ;p

Aside the last part and motion blur during the fast bits i'd agree. I'm serious, if you think it's apart of story rather production values of the past, then your wrong. I doubt they'd do this on the first ever movie.
