the reson it can be inacurate because the bolt is slightly of centre the ak103 fixed that problem (ak47 was made in 1947) it doesnt really affect the first shot but full auto it does the 7.62x39 range is 400 yards after that it falls out of the sky the 5.56 can go about 1000 yards but the 7.62 hit 4 to 5 times harder then the 5.56
ya but the accuracy is terrible you have to spray half the mag at the person otherwise you WILL miss and it has absolute shit range the m16 you sit back where they cant hit you and put one in there head
actually the AK-47 has been shown to be AS good as the M-16 with many strengths that overcome some weaknesses. And the accuracy and range is no where near as bad as you claim.
There is a very real reason why the AK-47 and not the M16 is considered the best automatic in the world by most military historians

the ak is extreemly reliable nd its powerful thats it it is pathetic when it comes to accuracy past 150ft its not accurite and you fire large bursts the m16 has triple the range and atleast 5x the accuracy but not the power. the reason its not accurite is because the parts are huge and the majority of the gun moves with each shot you can clearly see it. when it comes the accuracy take the m16 cause the ak sucks ass but straigh up power and relibility ak47
@Falcon5768 Actually it isn't. The Russians design almost everything around a single principle, simplicity. All the Russians want to do is give this rifle to someone with minimal training and they can use it effectively. Cleaning and maintaining firearms takes time, practice, and training. Which is why the Russians use this "slop gun" instead of a precision weapon like the M4. The M4 needs to be cleaned and maintained all the time, and the AK does not. Simple.
@ThingE05 Thing is, it's terribly inaccurate because it's so sloppy and not made of precision parts. I've fired one on a sandbag support, and only 6 or 7 out of 10 shots hit a 12 inch circle at 100 yards and I had to concetrate as if I was making a 500 yard shot. My dad's factory, iron sighted AR-15, can hit a 3 inch circle at 100 yards while barely trying. So, yes the AK-47 is reliable and will still fire if you can't clean it, but an M4, can also take some dirt and shoot a lot more accurately.
@TheMisfit621 What are your thoughts on this? Because I tend to agree.. AR's are filthy pigs, due to the "DI" system.. but if you you mean by "wet" that so long as you keep her lubed up really really well.. she'll keep running as long as you need her to.
So am I correct in assuming you're talking about lotsa lube? A reply would actually be adding a little something to a very special design *wink*
@Falcon5768 The reason its the best isn't because its really good at anything, its because its so simple that it can be made for pretty much nothing, used by pretty much anyone, in pretty much any environment, and still be able to kill people.
@Falcon5768 What historians in their right mind would believe that an M16 is better than an AK. The M16 level of precision is very high which correlates to the unreliabilty of it. The Ak works because it is a sloppy gun in the first place. But neither of these weapons hold a candle to the MP 44 or Sturmgewehr 44. I have shot all 3. The M16 shoots way to fast, the Aks balance is all other the place, the MP44 feels like your not even shooting anything.
@Falcon5768 Not "Best" just most important. the 5.56mm NATO round has far superior range, and arguably superior yawing effects when striking a target. On the other hand, the Kalashnikov action is much more reliable, so honestly what's the better weapon? An AK chambered for 5.56mm NATO or 5.45mm such as several of the new AK10x series (I can never remember which is which). So in reality, the two aren't fully comparable, they originally served different functions. IMO AK will outlast AR.
this is why the ak47 after about 100meters is incredibly inaccurate huge pieces moving the whole gun moves the M16 has small presision pieces for incredibly accurite shots but lower power than the Ak
huge moving pieces isnt wat makes em inaccurate at long range. is the shell its shooting. u can build an ar that shoots 7.62x39 and it wont have anymore range than a typical sks or ak47
from what i've understood from the weapon mechanics, the recoil doesnt come before the bullet leaves the barrel if there was a close up on the barrel end with a measuring scale behind it and a faster fps camera you could see that.
the inertia actually kinda helps stabalize it cuz it takes some of the recoil out cuz it has 2 move the heavy parts. an ak that shoots 223 will be no less accurate than an ar. idk if wat im sayin makes sense to u or not
yea i know its more powerful but its heavy and the gun is a clunker u have 4x the power we have 4x the range and 10x the accuracy so u spray the m16 will put 1 in you temple befor you have a hope of hitting the shooter
No, its F= M *A and P= M* V. You want to end up with kg m/s^2 for a force. To calculate the force in which the bullet it fired at you would want F=MA to calculate the momentum you would want P=MV. In a way we were both wrong i should have corrected the other guy with P=MV not F=MA

5.56 was originally fired from M16's with 1:14 twist, it was barely stable and expended it's kinetic energy violently when it hit a target. Decapitations and other horrific wounds were normal, but NRA found out it wasn't accurate below freezing. Made more stable at 1:12, but that made it less effective. Coulda been changed to 1:9 for the SS109 rounds, but the tracer required 1:7, and they had a mild steel core to punch through Russian armor. Without the armor it's like a long-range icepick
It also needs to be going at above 2,700 fps to fragment at the cannelure, and those pieces to fragment too. And it only fragments just at the cannelure around 2,550 fps. So fired from a ~20 inch barrel, it'll lose fragmentation at about 125m. Fired from an M4-length barrel, it'll lose max effectiveness at about 80m. So shootin it past those distances is just like poking your target really hard. At that point, bigger would be better like the 7mm the brits wanted NATO to use in the first place
6.5x55mm Swedish has been around for decades...its an ideal round for hunters but the case length makes it unsuitable for modern assault rifle platforms...A bit like 10mm Auto I suppose. Great round, just a bit too big!
i didnt mean the 6.5x55mm swedish round thats overkill i meant 6.5x45mm(spc)correct me if im wrong on the length but its my fault i wasnt specific enough.
I know! I just meant that 6.5mm rounds have proven to be quite versatile :) Although during the Cold War, armour penetration was more important...a wounded Red Army soldier hit by a 5.56mm round would probably stop fighting and call for a medic. A wounded Taliban fighter is another thing ;)
Funny enough the current Russian 5.45mm service round uses a collapsing tip that destabilises it upon impact supposedly causing tumbling...yet the elite forces there went back to the old 7.65mm
the elite special forces in Russia went back to the 7.62X39mm because it has great cover penetration, only ignorant people think all a rounds characteristics are are stopping power and accuracy, cover penetration is very important. the .50 BMG sniper is used for it's cover penetration mainly, not its ROFLWTFBBQSTOPPINGPOWER2TEHMAX.
well at least the 5.56 can go past 200 meters unlike the 7.62 which fucking strays off because its to heavy they want a bullet that has the 2 combined accuracy and power which is the 5.56 its obviously not 100% on both but its a better bullet overall than the 7.62
The US military found out that was not true when they were fighting people who were so high on drugs they took several 5.56's before going down and 7.62 is more effective at long ranges than 5.56, has twice the energy etc
yea but half the accuracy and it also has a stronger corioles effect even though i would rather have a 7.62 in a sniper, but for a rifle i would choose a 5.56
hey it all depends on the guy shooting it. sure AK's are easy to use and operate, but after some modern training on it you can use that just as well as any other "modern" weapon.
wow i didnt know that it was even useful to use a 5.56 round i guess that doesnt explain the fact that we have won wars and it is the most used round size in the world o m gee
how is a .223 smaller than a .22? a .22 isnt 5.6 but a .223 is a 5.56 and the 5.56 is larger than a .22 or else it wouldnt be a different bullet now would it? and you dont see exterminators running around with m16 since its a varmint killer do you?
ok than if the grain count is out of the question than how is a .223 the same as the .223? different sizes therefore different therefore i disproved you
you cant really increase the existence of something due to its cosmetics it only make it more visible compared to a one pointing down but yes it is made to reduce muzzle climb and recoil therefore called "compensator". and M4 arent .22 idiot they're 5.56 and they are biger in length than a standard .22
WASR's don't come with milled receivers. I think Arsenal is the only one that makes milled receivers, and they are great rifles. Also, stamped rifles aren't necessarily inaccurate. I know a guy that can shoot better groups with a 5.56 saiga then most guys can with AR-15s.
when u put the clip in one bullet gets moved up into the gun and then a little hammer like tool hits the back of the bullet which ignites the gunpowder which fires only the tip of the bullet, then the case which is the bit at the back of the gun comes out the side, then a small handle on the slide of the gun moves back which pulls another bullet up the gun.
When reloding a gun after wasting a clip you must pull back the handle on the side to pull up a bullet bt u dnt need to afta! hp this helps
The AK47 is the greates battle rifle of all time its simple yet robust construction proves it to be the most reliable rifle on the battlefield and its 30 cal round makes the american 5.56 look like a pea shooter.
some dude dug up an ak that was burried for over a year and told the americans this is how it should fire fire, he shot off thirty rounds, and then reloaded to keep on firing, it jammed after the third clip though that's ninety shot he used. Aks leave a hole the size of a melon in a human.
defenitly not like I said he dug an AK buried for a year and it still worked after the year or so, he shot 90 rounds before it jammed on him, but still neither an AR15 nor an M16 could do what the AK has done.
lol.. it depends on the manufacturer.. good Russian AKs are fantastic and hardly jamms.. but the cheap Chinese made AKs will jam. and which idiot said that an AK will never jam?
Brilliant design. Back in Vietnam days soldiers would ditch their standard M16 rifles for the AK rifle, because the AK would rarely jam, and can be put against the elements and still work, whereas the american made M16 would jam, jam, jam, etc. My respects goes to the creator of this weapon.
the M-16 during the vietnam war was poorly designed, most of its flaws have been worked out but the ak I believe at the moment but eventually the AR-15 will pass it or some other weapon.
no it doesn't, how do you think all those arabs get away with using it in the sand. It's virtually indestructable and unjammable (unless you drown it in cement or something...but for some reason I doubt that will even kill the ak).
The description reads AK-47, but there are several versions and manufacturers. These are outstanding rifles without a doubt. Does anyone know if this is a stamped or milled reciever on this weapon? The milled reciever makes the weapon acceptably accurate as I understand it.
if you look at it really close you can see that the pin moves up as it recoils which is why the AK-47 is such a piece of junk and gets jammed so easily.
you ask anyone that knows anything about things that shoot and they will laugh at you so hard you will cry, why do you think its one of the most respected weapons ever because you can bury it in mud sand water you name it, it will still fire like new
the Ak was designed to be simple and cheap and powerful...power but not precision...and the good thing u dont hav to clean it so it wont jam!! haha...but the m4 is made to be precise and needs to be cleaned once awhile or else it would jam...so id pick the ak anyday against a m4
Power means nothing if it can't hit. Both weapons have it's weakness and strong side. However, it can't be that much of a trouble to clean your gun whenever you have time?
it still would hit tho but just not really precise like the m4 newayz as in the ak u can like burry it in sand and it wont rly trouble the weapon...but for m4 it would create a problem if im not wrong like jamming n stuff which used to happen alot back then

So Stoner made EVERY SINGLE FIREARM that the US uses?
Do some research first. The "M" prefix in a weapon's name means that it has been put into use by the United States Military. (Ex.: G36c. "G" means "German")
You honestly think it stands for military? so what was it with the XM16E1 then? no it dosnt stand for military it stands for Model perhaps you should do some research? when it first went into Nam it was a brand new EXPERIMENTAL weapon, therefore Experimental Model 16 rifle. it was hated because of a number of reasons, no cleaning kits, jams etc so it was ALTERED and became the Model 16 Alteration 1 M16A1
The lesson here is dont try to school people on Firearms when your name is "Airsoftmarine"
its called a dust cover. not an upper reciever plate.

Whats the fuss about AK being inaccurate ?
You need only one freaking bullet to kill \ critically wound a person. One freaking shot . And its always accurate .
And there were cases where people shot 7 times with m16 were still running and shooting back .
If i were to choose - kill with 4 bullets or 1 id choose one .
Plus with AK you can shoot thru walls no prob so it gives you an edge in combat . And its way more reliable .

im on the side of the veteran, modern optics are too easy (take that 'greenie's' M4 with optic and give em' an SKS lets see how much he can forget)
Migs4000 3 years ago
hey it all depends on the guy shooting it. sure AK's are easy to use and operate, but after some modern training on it you can use that just as well as any other "modern" weapon.
Migs4000 3 years ago
haha too true
Migs4000 3 years ago
wow i didnt know that it was even useful to use a 5.56 round i guess that doesnt explain the fact that we have won wars and it is the most used round size in the world o m gee
ray02946 3 years ago
lol...look at the rear sight jump around
Migs4000 3 years ago
how is a .223 smaller than a .22? a .22 isnt 5.6 but a .223 is a 5.56 and the 5.56 is larger than a .22 or else it wouldnt be a different bullet now would it? and you dont see exterminators running around with m16 since its a varmint killer do you?
ray02946 3 years ago
ok than if the grain count is out of the question than how is a .223 the same as the .223? different sizes therefore different therefore i disproved you
ray02946 3 years ago
i understand you jack off but the number is only the width not the length or grain size you douchebag

ray02946 3 years ago
you cant really increase the existence of something due to its cosmetics it only make it more visible compared to a one pointing down but yes it is made to reduce muzzle climb and recoil therefore called "compensator". and M4 arent .22 idiot they're 5.56 and they are biger in length than a standard .22
ray02946 3 years ago
"muzzle climb is unbelievable even with a compensator" Marine ceaser 1st marines 5th battalion

200 meters accuracy for an ak47 with a 7.62 round nub
ray02946 3 years ago
don't talk nonsense about the AK's accuracy.
slopedarmor 3 years ago
WASR's don't come with milled receivers. I think Arsenal is the only one that makes milled receivers, and they are great rifles. Also, stamped rifles aren't necessarily inaccurate. I know a guy that can shoot better groups with a 5.56 saiga then most guys can with AR-15s.
Otacon237 3 years ago
AK fires bigger bullets too, to ensure you do the most damage to the target, shame about the recoil though, thats the firing mechanisms fault.
iNfx1 3 years ago
Now i wouldnt say it is the BEST rifle made... but it is most for sure the cheapest and easiest to get ahold of. And prolly the most reliable.

how does a gun work?
sedanhousain 3 years ago
when u put the clip in one bullet gets moved up into the gun and then a little hammer like tool hits the back of the bullet which ignites the gunpowder which fires only the tip of the bullet, then the case which is the bit at the back of the gun comes out the side, then a small handle on the slide of the gun moves back which pulls another bullet up the gun.
When reloding a gun after wasting a clip you must pull back the handle on the side to pull up a bullet bt u dnt need to afta! hp this helps
bapedudethesecond 3 years ago
all guns still jam every now and then even the MINI gun jams after a while
Bardo688 3 years ago
The AK47 is the greates battle rifle of all time its simple yet robust construction proves it to be the most reliable rifle on the battlefield and its 30 cal round makes the american 5.56 look like a pea shooter.
long live the 7.62.

m16 is better loner range
usmcwarhawk123 3 years ago
Out of the box an M-16 has better range. With after market/custom parts I could make any rifle as accurate as I want.
jrangle 3 years ago
some dude dug up an ak that was burried for over a year and told the americans this is how it should fire fire, he shot off thirty rounds, and then reloaded to keep on firing, it jammed after the third clip though that's ninety shot he used. Aks leave a hole the size of a melon in a human.
bouzinem2 3 years ago
The AK is probably the best rifle ever made! People need to look at the facts and not what they think looks nice. So that should win.
"AR15"
TrueMarine 3 years ago
defenitly not like I said he dug an AK buried for a year and it still worked after the year or so, he shot 90 rounds before it jammed on him, but still neither an AR15 nor an M16 could do what the AK has done.
bouzinem2 3 years ago
Yeah, the AK was way past its time, durable and effective. but more modern rifles are now begining to out match this beautiful rifle.
Monxer 3 years ago
in vietnam the americans envied the nva for their ak47s
MrFreeman420 3 years ago
lol.. it depends on the manufacturer.. good Russian AKs are fantastic and hardly jamms.. but the cheap Chinese made AKs will jam. and which idiot said that an AK will never jam?
Wast3m 3 years ago
the chinese worry about saving money then good quality

hey guys, can we remember one thing?, mk Stole the Basic Idea from the Germans, he was a tank driver!!! for petes sake.
joslynn417 3 years ago
Brilliant design. Back in Vietnam days soldiers would ditch their standard M16 rifles for the AK rifle, because the AK would rarely jam, and can be put against the elements and still work, whereas the american made M16 would jam, jam, jam, etc. My respects goes to the creator of this weapon.
sacr3 3 years ago
the M-16 during the vietnam war was poorly designed, most of its flaws have been worked out but the ak I believe at the moment but eventually the AR-15 will pass it or some other weapon.

that looks wrong (hehe, i got a perverted mind).... btw ak-47 kicks ass

What are you talking about the ak jams frequently..

lolz i broke one =D
WZW1982 3 years ago
no it doesn't, how do you think all those arabs get away with using it in the sand. It's virtually indestructable and unjammable (unless you drown it in cement or something...but for some reason I doubt that will even kill the ak).

wonderfully designed weapon... makes one wish it was american made, but ya gotta hand it to Mikhail Kalashnikov for this one!
biggbabysweetz1 3 years ago 6
The description reads AK-47, but there are several versions and manufacturers. These are outstanding rifles without a doubt. Does anyone know if this is a stamped or milled reciever on this weapon? The milled reciever makes the weapon acceptably accurate as I understand it.
Dave839 3 years ago
This one looks stamped, but I might be mistaken.
SiroDra 3 years ago
if you look at it really close you can see that the pin moves up as it recoils which is why the AK-47 is such a piece of junk and gets jammed so easily.
teddybeartanner 3 years ago
you did not just say that
you ask anyone that knows anything about things that shoot and they will laugh at you so hard you will cry, why do you think its one of the most respected weapons ever because you can bury it in mud sand water you name it, it will still fire like new
sgtpeewee 3 years ago 3
if theres one good thing about the Ak...it's that it almost never ever jams.....ever
alejandrolie 3 years ago 2

the Ak was designed to be simple and cheap and powerful...power but not precision...and the good thing u dont hav to clean it so it wont jam!! haha...but the m4 is made to be precise and needs to be cleaned once awhile or else it would jam...so id pick the ak anyday against a m4
2997787 3 years ago
Power means nothing if it can't hit. Both weapons have it's weakness and strong side. However, it can't be that much of a trouble to clean your gun whenever you have time?
WingsOfVengence 3 years ago
it still would hit tho but just not really precise like the m4 newayz as in the ak u can like burry it in sand and it wont rly trouble the weapon...but for m4 it would create a problem if im not wrong like jamming n stuff which used to happen alot back then
2997787 3 years ago
So for an instance in the desert, where a lot of sand is swirling around, the M4 would jam all the time?
WingsOfVengence 3 years ago
4get it nvm newayz i just prefer ak than m4 end of discussion if u like it the other way datz fine k

These things are made in like 17 countries and all the parts no matter where they come from seem to fit and work together. Kalashnikov made a friggin tank when he invented this thing. As much as I hate to do it... props to the ruskies on this one.

So Stoner made EVERY SINGLE FIREARM that the US uses?
Do some research first. The "M" prefix in a weapon's name means that it has been put into use by the United States Military. (Ex.: G36c. "G" means "German")
AirsoftMarine7692 3 years ago
actually the "G" in G36 stands for "Gewehr"... not "German"

supergringo86 3 years ago
You honestly think it stands for military? so what was it with the XM16E1 then? no it dosnt stand for military it stands for Model perhaps you should do some research? when it first went into Nam it was a brand new EXPERIMENTAL weapon, therefore Experimental Model 16 rifle. it was hated because of a number of reasons, no cleaning kits, jams etc so it was ALTERED and became the Model 16 Alteration 1 M16A1
The lesson here is dont try to school people on Firearms when your name is "Airsoftmarine"
smeghead666 3 years ago 8
this guy is right all the american guns w/ m such as m60, m249, m16, m4, m14, m1911, the m in all of those means MODEL!!!!!!!!!
